i still dont understand how he just did not sign with audi right away. it seems like a match made in heaven. with the history his father has with the team and the fact he could be their nr 1 driver. sure it is a risk since we cant know how well they will do on f1 entry, but it is still a major brand coming to the sport who is not in it to blame themself. i would trust audi more to get a competetive car in year 2 then i would trust haas, williams, alpha tauri or whatever they are called these days or alpine.

True I definitely think Sainz is more fit for Audi but logically speaking I think Sainz is gonna want something he can already see and not something that could be great in the future.

What if he signs 1 year (2025) for Mercedes and then moves to audi in 2026.. my thought is that he won't enjoy even a lil bit in that kick.. and since he got some connections with audi i think he can stabilize himself in a team rather than jumping around all the time..

True he could do that, only problem with that would be Mercedes potentially not giving Sainz any sort of favorable treatment so idk if Sainz wants that mental torture
