thanks for the explanation! this is super helpful for my research. but, if i may ask, what is the validity technique's name? because i know the reliability technique in this video is often called cronbach alpha. please enlighten me 🙏
Hi Dr Gupta , During my surfing found this interesting video . Reliability well explained . Validity is not clear need more example . May i request if you have some more input on this , Pls. upload on youtube.
PLEASE, Is exploratory factor analysis the same as convergent and discriminant validity? I am a little bit confused. Thanks in advance for your reply. Should we do both convergent and discriminant validity, construct validity using EFA in one study?
Hello. I saw your video. You've done the reliablity test based on different variables. But, you include all variable in one measurement while doing validity. Is it allowed?
Hello ma’am, I’m confused between the measure to use for pilot analysis, some are using scale and some are using ordinal for likert items. Please guide on this
Mam in my questioneries many questions are having words not likert scale, for that how we can define and what kind of questions we have to check reliability test ?
Thank you Ma'am for preparing this very useful video for us. If the calculated values for Pearson's r are greater than the critical values, then each question/item is found to be a valid one. Could you Ma'am or anybody else please give relevant references supporting it?
@@Ashulekha Madam, I have already found a reference that supports the use of Pearson's correlation coefficients to assess the construct validity of a scale. Very useful video Madam. I have a small question. What type of validity (content/criterion/construct validity) is measured for a questionnaire by Product Moment Pearson Correlation in SPSS?
It's Construct validity. Construct validity refers to the extent to which a measurement tool (like a questionnaire) accurately measures the theoretical construct or concept that it is intended to measure. When using Pearson correlation to assess construct validity, researchers typically examine whether scores on the questionnaire correlate with scores on another measure that theoretically should relate to the same construct. This could involve correlations with scores from a similar or related questionnaire, or with scores from other established measures of the construct.
Madam please, tell in the beginning what data is about , this is unknown for the viewers , it is questionable is it temperature, blood pressure, length, weight ???🙏🙏🙏
Ma'am If your overall reliability is greater than 9 but some construct vise reliability are less than 7 , what can be done? If item deleted also shows every reliability above 9. What should we do?
You can either delete the item (may not be possible) or run a "reverse scale item" test. If the Reverse-scale item test gives higher reliability, then you can justify the low reliability by stating that the item was reversed intentionally to control for response bias.
It's very helpful. Madam, I want to ask, what if my data distribution is not normal? Is it still okay to use pearson for the validity test? Please help me🙏
if its not normal, you need to use non-parametric tests. if you wanna use pearson, check the assumption before using it. one of the assumption is normal distribution of data.
If the question content 3 section which section 1: liker scale question, section2: yes/no question, and section 3: multi choice question, how we can run the validity and realiability test? It’s have differend method for run reliability and validity, mem?😢
she just gave an example. by the way You dont need to check for the crticality from a reference table. SPSS does that for you. small stars/hysterics with the values shows that the values are significant
Madam please tell first data it is about what ??? What was the purpose and what questions were given all these things if you tell in 2, 3 minutes then it would be easy to understand the remaining part 🙏🙏

can i use this method in vaidating my subjective parameter grading scale.. and use in my thesis ?
Its just awesome thank you maam very informative session 😊

Me too. We can do validity per item in many variable with this method then what is EFA used for? 😅 Or is it just come into CFA without EFA?
in last u didn eleborate precisly how can we check our values with table
Mam is this criterion validity is sufficient for validity checking??
Thankyou mam for guiding us.
I want to ask that the method used by you in this video is appropriate for Pilot study of 38 items and 41 respondents.
Thank you for appreciation yes you can but minimum responses are 50 for pilot study if you can increase this number please increase
Kindly make a separate detail vedio for validity of the data...thank you for the vedio..
Sure I will upload soon

How do i know which all questions to be deleted from my questionnaire? If my reliability analysis is around 0.06 which is less than 0.7
Those reliability is less than 0.06must be deleted
How do you get the table of critical values for r persons ?
Dear madam can u please explain what are the different ways to standardise the research questionnaire
Hello Madam
Good Evening
I am very happy to have your lecture
Thank you🙏
hi madam, what do I do if my reliability is a negative score? idk how that is possible but is there anything I can do?
Hello. I saw your video. You've done the reliablity test based on different variables. But, you include all variable in one measurement while doing validity. Is it allowed?
i have the same question
How did you select all the variables at once at 0.54 before transferring it?
Ctrl+A
Absolutely Right
In your video there is excluded items!
Same I am facing!
How can I solve this??
Same here
Thank you so much ma'am very useful and esy to understand thank you
Thank you for watching
what if we don't get significant value for validity? what do we have to do then?
Validation through experts

@@Ashulekha thank you very much need it urgently but thankx in advance
Correlation fails to detect loading factor. The confirmatory factor analysis is the best.
Still unable to do for multi-response questions as it is saying the same thing as when finding crohn alpha value@@bramhadianto

why u did pearson correlation, instead of spearman as your data is ordinal-likert scale
It is not ordinal data in this dataset but interval. It depends on how you treat it
Yes Absolutely Correct
