Such a rich history and I can appreciate the joy and satisfaction you must receive throughout this journey for the truth. Often it is easier to 'sell' a simplified version of the events as many have little interest/time/motivation in understanding the complexities of the history of what is taught. I hope to read your book some day. Thank-you for continuing to share your ongoing journey of discovery with us.

Great Video Sifu. As my background was Derek Jones, and he trained first with Viktor Kan, but abandoned that style as he found it didn't work in real life fights. He 'bought into' William Cheungs 'story' of his training in 'traditional' Wing Chun from Yip Man, and Derek was convinced in the beginning of Williams abilities ( he was already critical of William in 1986 when i joined and would talk at length of how Williams books were purposely putting out incorrect photograpic depictions of methods including stances and positioning of fighting angles. By the 90s Derek was already more suspicious of William and his story) Also as William had the backing of famous people like Dan Insanto, and friendship of both him of Bruce Lee ( Derek was a huge fan of Bruce Lee so it was a very appealing story) Derek thought Cheung was better fighter though than Viktor, and it did improve his wing Chun training with William, but he abandoned much of what he saw as a 'classical mess' of both their methods, and developed his BMS system from this belief. With all due respect to Derek ( i look at film of him now and see many things i didn't at the time including lack of Sung- his knees werent healthy unfortunately so he had to modify his stances) this is because he wanted his 'own' Jeet Kun Do system, and thought he could better that abd go further than bruce lee. That Derek had an interest in Tai Chi its a shame he didnt live to explore, develop, and research more. He would have loved the access to so much info on the Internet etc 😊🙏

I appreciate your efforts and your interest in diving deep into the history of Wing Chun. I think that is a great hobby to have. Are you also looking into the effectiveness of those different styles? How do you test them?

It is one thing to promote the "Ging" side of Wing Chun in Kuit writings but does the current head of this lineage can actually show it? If he can, he is a master. If he can't, he is a business man.

@@OldJong What is important is that there are people in the lineage like now Sifu Yuri who absolutely can demonstrate it

How long is Yuri learned it and when did he do the baisee and if Wayne cannot even do it how Yuri can do it ? Such a funny answer , don’t insult scwc and the kung fu
