This banner is exceptionally stacked to the point of there being no 4 star focuses on it. The last seasonal banner to do this was New Years 2020, and that was before 4 star focus seasonals were introduced.
Yeah, it sucks there is no 4 star focus this year, but then again I'm kind of glad because not only would it be Yunaka because of 3 Houses, she would also end up being overshadowed extremely by the 3 Houses lords being bonkers broken.
First off, nice red and green coloring for the background and intro. Secondly, I must be a really good boy this year because I somehow got myself a free Byleth. Ofc I did get the other heroes, though I did have to spark for Yunaka.
Day 45 Campaign: Alfonse for CYL8! Congratulations on your pulls! One change I'd like for summoning is before we start pulling, we'd click in the color we want the most, and the circles would always bring at least one of that color we chose. I was in despair when I got all the focus charge lights but the next circle didn't had the color I wanted, luckily I didn't get the wrong unit and the color I was after appeared! 😂
#Question Would you ever consider doing fan challenges where we make suggestions for you to do like use certain units or builds in certain game modes or something? Let's say I want you to use OG Saizo to reach the highest tier in Aether Raids or Arena for example.
Congrats on the summons pm1, especially for your f2p account, looks like Christmas came early for you this year, and I really like the red and green color theme, the way the colors are mixed is quite beautiful. I got a free W!Edelgard and got W!Yunaka and W!Dimitri while summoning, had to spark W!Byleth.

#Question Aside from arcane weapons, what would you do to help improve gen 1 heroes left in the dust or that became undervalued by other heroes? For me, I would probably think of something like prf enhancements or something, kind of like your rerefine theorycrafts, you know a way to help benefit all heroes and not just heroes like Sothe, Reinhardt, and Kagero.

Had about 1900 orbs and decided to plus ten edelgard, and I started to pull and got 4 byleths before the first spark somehow, I switched to working on byleth because apparently that's what fate wants, but then I got 3 edelgards from pools with no red orbs, so I just ended up being able to plus ten both. Somehow I didn't get any dimitris or yunakas besides the sparked ones but I can't complain.
#Question What are your thoughts on indie games like Pizza Tower and Dark Deception, or some mods/fangames like Sonic Triple Trouble and Plants Vs Zombies 2 Reflourished for example? Have you ever played anything like them?
I told myself i was gonna save but then i pulled 3 edelgards in one circle. Went ahead and went broke trying to +10. Got up to +6 with the spark in 400. RIP orbs. Hope she wins AHR in February so i can finish the merge project off!
Speaking of quality of life things, I really want IS to make it so if you fight a boss character in feh and there theme starts to play, it should stay the whole time until you defeat that character. Feh has so many great battle themes especially Gullveig’s battle theme, and yet you can’t even hear a good amount of it. Also another thing is we should be able to set our music for Aether Raids defense.

Wind Claude will not trigger Lethality on his first attack, then Winter Byleth will kill him with his special and it's DR pierce ignoring any DR Wind Claude gets from his Deep Star. He is a solid Wind Claude counter.
if his lethality is at 3 cd (has not been charged at all) his first attack's precharge will be "nullified" by byleth's first attack scowl. since both values are typically 3, it will result in claude not charging his special at all before his first attack. if you were to somehow have claude's lethality at 0 cd (fully charged before combat) claude would proc lethality on his first attack. The net of precharged and nothing is still precharged. Best way to think of in combat pre-charge vs scowl effects overall is as +1 and -1 (similar to auto follow up and follow up negation). At the start of combat you'll get a total of precharge value before an attack. if the total is positive you will precharge your special by that amount (ex +2 charges from B!Robin's Rally Spectrum vs -1 charges from Veyle's Fell Protection will result in +1 to the special). The reverse is true as well of course, up until the max special cooldown of the unit the effects are being applied to (If a slaying unit has their 1 cd special precharged, but are going against D!M!Byleth and he inflicts them with -3 charge, the special will end up at 1 cd in the end)

I NEED echoes of daybreak as a song in the game. It's the map theme for the first few chapters of Radiant Dawn. It's very under used and underrated for such a beautiful piece of music and my personal favorite map theme out of the entire series.
For me, I think music that I’m waiting for is Past (Below). I like that theme so much. Another one I want is Bright Sandstorm, and Enforcer of Knowledge (Ivy and Hortensia’s battle theme)
I think I'm getting Christmas luck with this game, during the Book VIII Banner, I got Rataoskr up to +2 Merge (2 units being free), and Rearmed Lucina 3 times. This Banner I got my girl Yunaka on the first summon! My target is to try to get more Yunaka summons including the 40th one, and possibly Edelgard. Both Yunaka and Rearmed Lucina got flawed atk IVs, thats something I plan to fix overtime.

My luck wasn't amazing overall in getting the focus Christmas units, but I got some decent off focus 5*. I got 2 B!Veronica, Karel, and Lewyn before the first spark. Was happy to finally get a +spd version of Lewyn. I sparked W!Yunaka. My luck got better and I finally got W!Dimitri, although he was -atk and several other off focus 5* (Louise, Claude, Sanaki, Ascended Idunn, Harken, Mage Eirika, and Ascended Celica) before sparking W!Byleth. PTSD from Arena 2018 is coming back to me. Didn't it take longer to do an arena run too?? Like 7 rounds instead of 5? I remember the times where OG!Veronica on the Tempest Trials map was the hardest boss. Oh AND having to reach 100,000 points for TT. That Tempest Trials is still the only trials I was never able to complete.
To answer the question of the day I really want Dhgensia's theme from Radiant Dawn, but hopefully that song is reserved for his mythic alt he deserves someday. I’ve only done 10 pulls so far and I’ll leave it there for now so I can see what’s coming up next for new year, but in my second circle I also got an ascended Tiki which was actually my first one so I’m really happy! The music I’d love for them to add is 'The Forgotten' theme for exploring Abyss in 3H. I’d use it for my menu theme as it’s super relaxing and it reminds me a bit of the Zora’s Domain theme from Ocarina of Time.
I wish they added the battle versions of the trial themes in engage, I love Trial of Binding (rise up). Trial of the Academy (Teach us), and Trial of the Sacred (Restore Calm)
QOTD: for me it definitely has to be "The Forgotten", Abbyss' theme from Three Houses. Such a beautiful and chill track, I used to listen to it on loop when I studied, I would love to have it as my menu theme.

For my FE music to listen to in the Concert Hall, it has to be Fortuna Entertainment from Tokyo Mirage Sessions. I know it's impossible because they need to get another agreement with Atlus to make it so, but it's a very nice song to listen to. And also the interaction team, which plays when the party's chatting outside the Idolasphere, and rings out lots of times.
My summons went pretty well. My previous summons gave me Annette, Brave Veronica, and Winter Edelgard(+Atk, -Spd). Then on my last 40th pull, I got Winter Byleth (+Atk, -Spd). I'm saving up my free spark because I don't know if I want Yunaka or Dimitri.
#Question What Fire Emblem spin-off games do you want to see? Do you want something that's akin to the FE Warriors series or Tokyo Mirage Sessions? Or do you want something more silly, like let's say, a tennis game or a racing game?
Went to spark, got edelgard on the way and then chose byleth. All 4 units look incredible so I pulled every colour to save orbs, but I think these two are the ones I wanted most so I'm happy. I think yunaka would be crazy for AR with disarm trap 4 but I dont even have 1 duo orochi let alone one I'd fodder. Dimitri wouldve also been really nice but I can't ask for too much given I have no orbs. Maybe ill do some Christmas summons but for now I'll wait.
"Wich FE Music you really want to be added in Concert Hall?" Fire Emblem Fates - End: Lost in the Waves. The absolute best version from the DLC Final Biss fight. Also, in less than 160 orbs, I robbed the Winter banner: I have all of them, except Edelgard (wich I don't want so, that's an absolute win lmao)
Congrats on the summons! I didn't pull more than my first circle for this banner because it's stacked but I'm annoyed with it being such a cash grab. It made it easy to save up orbs for Brave Soren and OG Ivy when she comes along. As far as songs I'd like to see Twilight of the Gods and Divine Decree Ablaze.
Ooh I like that new transition colors for Christmas. I still haven't summoned yet, but that Byleth is going to be an issue. For the regular maps and even the Chain Challenges, Edelgard and Dimitri were delt with pretty easily by my Summer Edelgard and Petrine. That Byleth, on the other hand, not so much.
I need Bright Sandstorm in the game already. Engage's OST overall is just alright imo, but Bright Sandstorm is absolutely a highlight and one of my faves in the series.

My luck on this banner was annoyingly atrocious, I got Byleth and a Constance at the second circle, then nothing else for the rest of the summon until the last circle where I got a fallen Rhea, I ultimately sparked yunaka cuz she was my most wanted, but I was pretty pissed about not getting much else

Hearing you talk about the time when you had to kill everyone with the focus unit in arena, brings back memories... that was when I +10d male Corrin, to use his refine and give a ton of extra stats to the bonus units. Every week he would divorce and get married to a different hero 😂
#Question Hey Pheonixmaster1, at this point of the game, do you think that banners like the Winter Banner are actually contraproductive to the longevity of the game with all its meta defining powercreep? To me I really don‘t like putting any effort into AR or SD anymore because every two months units get completely powercreeped by new units, for example Winter Edelgard following Ninja Zelgius in such a short time. #Question How would you feel if the game were to shift more into supports for feh. As it would allow you to still use your favorite units if you have the right supports and it would still get people to summon to get the new units for the new supports while using the units they want.

I have an important #question that you should be really honest about: Are you getting tired about the strict formula Heroes has been sticking with each Book? Every Book start always gives us a klutzy female OC as our heroine (complete with being a special limited character), the main villains of the book just finding a way to sideline Veronica and the Emblian Empire regardless of their allegiance, Midpoint OC typically dies, all male OCs and older siblings just die one way or another, and the high-strung formula set with Halloween, Christmas and New Years over the past few years since Three Houses began (Halloween always having a dragon, Christmas always having Three Houses, and New Years always having a Beast unit related to the Chinese zodiac, with dragons being the next one)... Are you getting burnt out on the formula Heroes has been doing, and not giving other things a chance?
Honestly, idk why they haven’t added Grey Waves / Azura’s theme yet. You’d think that would’ve been added a long time ago with how often it came up in Fates. Been waiting for that for forever…
Am i the only one who gets nervous when the focus charge is full? This was the first time I've ever had to use all four sparks just to get one of each... It's also the first time I've gotten the focus charge to max twice... I got two brave Chroms out of it though... But I find myself very nervous going after the one color and having to risk one summon when it doesn't show up... Because for whatever reason, when you just need one color it doesn't show up, but when you don't need the color, it always shows up...

Your summons were so on season that your first batch in the ftp account was only red and green. Happy holidays!
This is probably my best place to ask. To anyone with a winter Byleth, how does the interaction with Wind Claude go? Does he proc lethality or not?

I’ve only done 10 pulls so far and I’ll leave it there for now so I can see what’s coming up next for new year, but in my second circle I also got an ascended Tiki which was actually my first one so I’m really happy!
The music I’d love for them to add is 'The Forgotten' theme for exploring Abyss in 3H. I’d use it for my menu theme as it’s super relaxing and it reminds me a bit of the Zora’s Domain theme from Ocarina of Time.
I wish they added the battle versions of the trial themes in engage, I love Trial of Binding (rise up). Trial of the Academy (Teach us), and Trial of the Sacred (Restore Calm)

I got Edelgard, Yunaka and sparked for Byleth. Not bad on 40 pulls.
I did 3 sparks and got 2 copies of all units. Very happy i got great IV on them as well!
For my FE music to listen to in the Concert Hall, it has to be Fortuna Entertainment from Tokyo Mirage Sessions. I know it's impossible because they need to get another agreement with Atlus to make it so, but it's a very nice song to listen to. And also the interaction team, which plays when the party's chatting outside the Idolasphere, and rings out lots of times.

My summons went pretty well. My previous summons gave me Annette, Brave Veronica, and Winter Edelgard(+Atk, -Spd). Then on my last 40th pull, I got Winter Byleth (+Atk, -Spd). I'm saving up my free spark because I don't know if I want Yunaka or Dimitri.

What Fire Emblem spin-off games do you want to see? Do you want something that's akin to the FE Warriors series or Tokyo Mirage Sessions? Or do you want something more silly, like let's say, a tennis game or a racing game?
Went to spark, got edelgard on the way and then chose byleth. All 4 units look incredible so I pulled every colour to save orbs, but I think these two are the ones I wanted most so I'm happy. I think yunaka would be crazy for AR with disarm trap 4 but I dont even have 1 duo orochi let alone one I'd fodder. Dimitri wouldve also been really nice but I can't ask for too much given I have no orbs. Maybe ill do some Christmas summons but for now I'll wait.

Congrats on the summons! I didn't pull more than my first circle for this banner because it's stacked but I'm annoyed with it being such a cash grab. It made it easy to save up orbs for Brave Soren and OG Ivy when she comes along. As far as songs I'd like to see Twilight of the Gods and Divine Decree Ablaze.

Ooh I like that new transition colors for Christmas. I still haven't summoned yet, but that Byleth is going to be an issue. For the regular maps and even the Chain Challenges, Edelgard and Dimitri were delt with pretty easily by my Summer Edelgard and Petrine. That Byleth, on the other hand, not so much.

I need Bright Sandstorm in the game already. Engage's OST overall is just alright imo, but Bright Sandstorm is absolutely a highlight and one of my faves in the series.

My luck on this banner was annoyingly atrocious, I got Byleth and a Constance at the second circle, then nothing else for the rest of the summon until the last circle where I got a fallen Rhea, I ultimately sparked yunaka cuz she was my most wanted, but I was pretty pissed about not getting much else

#Question Hey Pheonixmaster1, at this point of the game, do you think that banners like the Winter Banner are actually contraproductive to the longevity of the game with all its meta defining powercreep? To me I really don‘t like putting any effort into AR or SD anymore because every two months units get completely powercreeped by new units, for example Winter Edelgard following Ninja Zelgius in such a short time. Many thanks for all your hard work and efforts, playing FEH wouldn‘t be the same without you.

How would you feel if the game were to shift more into supports for feh. As it would allow you to still use your favorite units if you have the right supports and it would still get people to summon to get the new units for the new supports while using the units they want.
I was really hoping no quarter would be inheritable to non armor beast and finally make Nailah insane. I'll at least take the win that shes on HoF this month, looking forward to the video

As a F2P player, I decided to go to 2 sparks on both CYL and the Winter banner. In those summons, the only focus unit I got was 1 W!Edelgard. My question is: do you think competitive F2P players should summon outside of Mythic (offensive) banners with the higher rate, or do we just save our orbs for those? Definitely want Good Company in Brodia, Dinner in Elusia, Tear Streaked(Ice), or Inconstant One(Frenzy) from Engage's OST. I would put Tea Party in Firene, but I listened to that song so much that I hate it now.

#Question What gamemodes give orbs? I feel like I see a lot of people get ~150 f2p orbs every month and some people talk about how you get 300 orbs a month, am I missing a gamemode or a secret or something?
From what I understand, those who are f2p tend to skip banners, so they end up saving a lot of orbs
You get about 300 F2P orbs per month if you play all the game modes and do all the quests.
I did 160 summons and got a bunch of off focus and 5 Byleth and 1 Dimitrie. I was mostly focused on Blue. I didn't get a single 5* until the 50th summon :(
I have an important #question that you should be really honest about:
Are you getting tired about the strict formula Heroes has been sticking with each Book? Every Book start always gives us a klutzy female OC as our heroine (complete with being a special limited character), the main villains of the book just finding a way to sideline Veronica and the Emblian Empire regardless of their allegiance, Midpoint OC typically dies, all male OCs and older siblings just die one way or another, and the high-strung formula set with Halloween, Christmas and New Years over the past few years since Three Houses began (Halloween always having a dragon, Christmas always having Three Houses, and New Years always having a Beast unit related to the Chinese zodiac, with dragons being the next one)... Are you getting burnt out on the formula Heroes has been doing, and not giving other things a chance?

Am i the only one who gets nervous when the focus charge is full? This was the first time I've ever had to use all four sparks just to get one of each... It's also the first time I've gotten the focus charge to max twice... I got two brave Chroms out of it though... But I find myself very nervous going after the one color and having to risk one summon when it doesn't show up... Because for whatever reason, when you just need one color it doesn't show up, but when you don't need the color, it always shows up...
I haven't played two years and I have all the paras and books for free orbs. Well most. I'm having fun for now.
