How hard are these on the upper control arms/ball joints? Every leveled f150 I have had was hard on the upper ball joints. It would be cool if Ford would include corrected geometry upper control arms in these kits.
I bought these and got them installed in my Powerboost. And I did notice the truck more predictable in its ride but really comfortable. Actually drives like BMW SUV. Incredible. This is a solid piece and warrantied by Ford if installed by the dealership which I did. So it is shown in the CARFAX.

@@8Caps895 You can get this kit for ~$1400 off 3rd party sites compared to the $1700 Ford wants. My local dealership charges ~$220/hr for labor. I'm assuming about 3 hours to install, so probably around $2000-2400 installed.
It would have been a better video with A driving comparison between the two on and off road. How does each suspension work over washboard roads? What about dealing with ruts? Or traversing rocks/rutted roads. Street is one thing, but off road is where I want more information.
All of the Fox/Roush leveling kits for 4WD say they are adjustable from 0-2 inches. So, I don't think you would be able to get more level than the Ford Performance kit if the FP kit is still not fully level at 2.5.
This is just the Bilstein 6112/5160 setup with a Ford Performance label & price increase. Better to buy the actual Bilstein product save some money and get their lifetime warranty vs the Ford 3 yr/36 mo warranty. I have the 6112/5160 combo on my F150 and they are fantastic.
The normal 5160 shocks only have a 2yr warranty from Bilstein, plus with the Ford Performance kit you get the strut mount assembly for the fronts preinstalled, and the aluminum reservoir bracket for the rear shocks. They ARE also valved differently than the off the shelf 6112/5160 combo. Not saying there isn't a price difference, but to have bolt-on ready assemblies is nice, and yes I have the Ford Performance kit on my truck.
@@C1Vette I bought new top mounts for mine, I think it was around $100 for both. I also bought the aluminum rear brackets which I think were $80. The 6112 still gets the lifetime through Bilstein (which are the more expensive of the two).
@@CandyMan69007 i’ve had it on the truck for over 50,000 miles now, and it is great. Definitely better than stock. I especially like that the rear end doesn’t get Squirrley going over bumps like it used to with the stock set up.
I'll be putting this the Ford Performance kit on my new 2023 F150 and upgrading the rims n tires package to 18"x9" KMC Enduro rim with Wildpeak 265/70 tires.... can't wait to see the truck with new shoes.
I have a 2019 F150 Roush with the Fox 2.0 shocks. And, while they’re great for body control, especially on tight, fast turns, they definitely ride rough. But, they’ve done me well off road. But, I like the higher lift and rear reservoir on the Ford Performance shocks. Can the Ford Performance shocks be put on the 2015-2020 F150’s, too?
I have 35’s (295/65r20) on my ‘23 Lariat with only a 2.5 leveling kit on the original wheels & it looks much better than those 34’s! And I only had to do a small bit of trimming.

The fox on the first generation raptor were pure junk. They leaked at the top and not warranted. They cost over a grand a piece before install. I got rid of the truck.

I have the eibach kit on my 2021 powerboost and it has been great. I have used it offroad and on unmaintained logging roads. The highway driving is far better as well.
Not sure if I agree with trimming the crash bars on a new or any vehicle just to fit bigger wheels/ tires… my family’s safety is far more important that how my truck looks!
I installed a leveling kit and ran 295/70 R18 AT3s. Took the crash bars, notched out where they were rubbing, flipped the notched metal and welded back in. Stronger than factory and didn't sacrifice safety.
What makes the heavy duty payload package for the f150? I know it’s about an 2k for the package but what goes into it ? How does the factory do it? Do they use f250 leaf springs ? With upgraded bump stops ? Os the bed reenforced some how ? And can T/C Customs build that ??
Hey guys. I have a question. I have a 23 Lariat 4x4. With the smart towing on board scales. What if anything do I have to look for when either leveling or lifting it. As pertaining to the sensor attached to the upper control arm. I want to either level the front 2.5 inch or lift the the front only 3 in. with the proper kit including control arms. The concern on the 2.5 inch kit is the increased angle/stress on the upper ball joint. The reason I was looking to do control arms that’s accommodate the relief in angles. And what if any do I have to do with the sensors on the on board scales on my powerboost. I’ve watched almost every video on leveling and lifting the 21-23 f150. And no video I’ve found covers this concern. Also what about the brake lines, abs wires and sway bar endlinks.
wonder how long those uca boots will last with the 2.5" FP kit.. they look awfully compressed. Can anyone speak on it? I have a tundra with a 2.5" suspension lift and my stock uca's are leaking at the balljoint

How is the ride quality like with the bilstein 5100 compared to the FX4 suspension package? Right now my 22 floats like a dream, but the stance leaves quite a bit to be desired.
After adding either of these kits, are there any reports of IWE troubles, I did a 2 inch level on a 2016 F150 and had a few issues, it would make grinding noises once in a while

Both options are BADLY overpriced! Look around online you will find WAY cheaper stuff that is just as good, get it installed by an independent mechanic and save yourself a thousand dollars! I am running Bilsteins 6112 and 5100 for rears on 2018 f150 5.0. 35k miles on them and have been solid performers. You can find them for under $1,250.
I think to avoid cutting the crash bars is best to downside on the rim and tires. Maybe slap some 18s on 33 all terrains
had to do 20’s with 33’s on my 21 platinum

hows the ride i have a 2023 just got it this past December. It only has 4k miles I'm ready to do mods to it.

A Bilstein over Fox for sure! Eibach or Reiger are much better than Fox also. Love Ford but they need to get away from Fox suspension asap!

FX4 is only a trim level upgrade and has a useless skid plate. Yes it works on The F150

2.6 diameter > 5100 2.0 diameter

IWE issues are just a common issue with these trucks unfortunately, both my 14 and 18. The lift should have any effect on the IWE system IMO.
