Sorry; I spoke with Carbtune directly the other day and they do NOT recommend alcohol. They say it can make the rods stickier sometimes. Instead, they recommend BRILLO, (yes).. used lightly on the rods, then wash carefully afterwards. Same as the guides, (if needed)- a little swatch of BRILLO again, on a long matchstick or long swab, into the tube gently. Then rinse fully.

Hey there, I used 3 vacuum tees and connected all four of the tubes to one vacuum source recently and found that my Carbtune was out of calibration. The nuts were the bottom of the springs sit can be adjusted or washers installed to bring all tubes into sync. Cleaning the rods makes them all work nice and smoothly....Thanks Sir....

I would suspect the length of all passages would effect that reading doing it that way. Keeping all lines exactly the same I would simply connect one at a time to the same source and take readings. Cleaning should be the only thing needed.

@@TwoWheelObsession doesnt work, i tried to connect one at a time, to same vacuum source and difference was 4cmhg. Strange i have tested 2 gauges one mine and one of my friend. Start think that carbtune is garbage

How do you know if your rods need cleaning? like did you notice the rod sticking?

Yes, as I showed. When using it it will start to stick.
