Having watched all 4 seasons of Yellowstone ( all coming late to the show ) this is a must see. The writing, acting and soundtrack are superb! Reminds me so much of Dances with Wolves. Thank you Taylor Sheridan.

The scene where the sheriff of Fort worth shoots up all the bandits in the bar and then says to the crowd:
"dance with the girls, have a drink at the bar, but if you fancy yourself a gunman...
You're in the wrong town, because there's only one killer in Fort Worth at that's me"
A harrowing scene, but very magnanimous. Amazing show.
Billy Bob Thornton is a f**king badass as always. I wish there was more of him, but at the same time this small role makes it perfect.

I was and still are big fun of Yellowstone..,but 1883 is more than everything I have expected from the miracle creater Taylor Sharidan. It is a story that is so profound do full of historical background of USA nation ..stories of hope, of fight for freedom, stories that explain so tight bonds between the people who came to the States, tho ones who were owner of its planes and hills.....the story of a creation. Excellent....as a European I realised better some facts that were the parts of hope the nation was made., 👏👏👏👏👏

Tim McGraw, the vacant expression of his eyes as James Dutton in 1883 drives my attention to the last satisfy the hunger of adequate memory of my life and also leaves a lot interrogations of looking forward
my parents got married to “it’s your love” in 1997, almost 25 years later we are still listening and watching

Before I started Yellowstone, a buddy said it was kinda like a rated R version of ‘The Ranch’ (Sam’s show). Then the first scene of Y with Lloyd, i thought it was Sam. Just coincidental. Both were meant for these types of roles & could pass as brothers.
Can't wait!! No wokeness no cancel culture, just a dam good western!!!!!

I've watched the first 3 episodes of this and have only found out it's a prequel, I might binge Yellowstone first as I didn't even know the show existed 😅 from what I've heard it's very good.

I love this show, I also am a gun nut, in this opening scene with Tim McGraw where he dispatched the 3 bandits with his (if I am not mistaken) 1885 Winchester High Wall, a rifle that was not in production until 1885 this film is set in the summer of 1883 ????

Have watched and watching all three series and seasons of The Yellowstone's origin stories. It all really is a depiction of the extremely harsh conditions and reality of the first pioneers and settlers of The United States West. It was definitely scattered with bodies along the way. The Dutton family Montana origin story in The United States of America. They obviously didn't like Tennessee. That's another series if want to. Mention because of slavery, and maybe their first family members in The USA were European indentured servants. Other new European countries immigrants traveling with them on The Oregon Trail, to the west, also mention to be free.

Actually if its Oregon you are heading there is no-one except of course Burns Paiute the Coos ,Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw tribes Not to mention the Klamath, Siletz, Umatilla and Grande Ronde. But then we cant let historical fact get in the way of the Western mythology. That would be woke.
