- A look at some of Elsa Dutton’s most unforgettable moments on 1883.
#ParamountPlus #1883
1883, a Yellowstone origin story, follows the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America. From Academy Award nominee Taylor Sheridan, co-creator of Yellowstone, 1883 is a stark retelling of Western expansion, and an intense study of one family fleeing poverty to seek a better future in America’s promised land - Montana.

Elsa made 1883 amazing. Her life was just too short. I would have loved to see much more of her.
If you watch Yellowstone you will see Elsa in Beth. They were both free spirited and independent. They both were lightening with yellow hair.
Yeho
They just wrote her off n made her life unbearable but she's going to fight the grid and write her own story

What is this about ?
We got a real treat with Elsa narrating this series. The only thing I hate is that she wont get to narrate other seasons....but that makes it more special.
Isabel May narrated the first episode of 1923
And gave some narration from episode 2 to 6
I couldn’t believe they killed her off after only one season!! Ruined the whole thing for me.
@@toddferguson4571makes the whole special. Wonderful series.
I was heart sick and completely disappointed that she had to die
My heart breaks when Elsa dies but instead of being a forgotten burial mound along the Oregon trail, she is buried on the Dutton homestead. She represents the dreamers who never made it to California or Oregon but like the gorgeous yellow sun, she radiated all that was good and wild and free. The ending scene (which is not included here) where her version of heaven is that it is always morning, her beloved is by her side and the two of them race on horseback under the rising sun is so powerful. Still makes me cry.
Where can I watch the movie?
@@aroastoican7336 this was an HBO 10-part series. I think its only available now on MAX streaming....
@@aroastoican7336 1883 is on paramount+ but it's not a movie
1883 is one of the very best Westerns I've ever seen. Great intro to 1923.

I ugly cried when Elsa died. She embodied the fire in all of us, the desire to be brave, bold, free, and to love with all the passion in our hearts. I aspire to be her.
Very very sad when Elsa lost her cowboy boyfriend but when she died it
Was a lasting sadness .... She was a beautiful character. ❤
❤ anche a me è spiaciuto che è morta ,la vedevo già con Sem il nativo libera con lui per sempre 😢
I ugly cried when she died too. Gut wrenching 😢

Tokala Black Elk is such a great actor! I hope this gets him more roles. To go from, what must have been blinding anger to understanding humanity in a matter of seconds is not easy to portray convincingly. But he delivers.
He's great. I hope he gets a main role of some kinds in the future. He sure does look fierce.
What was that? Never got to see the whole series sadly
He has a great voice and a good face 😊
This series should have swept the Emmys. It was spectacular
Yeah I agree too...🎉
I am losing favor of award shows! The best have to be on yrs to be noticed & most are over looked for a reason
The narration by Elsa added so much meaning to this series. It would have been interesting to see a continuation of Elsa and Sam.
I love how she didn’t just rescue herself. She wasn’t about to let her younger brother suffer and he knew to get his dad immediately. Those two were raised right.
i love that she also fought back. she knew she could easily die there, that man might kill her and she was going to make sure she left some marks on him to remember her by.
Love the way Sam talks to her in his language !!
What a perfect couple
One of the most powerful shows ever created. It grips you emotionally in a deep, unexpected way. Beautifully done.

Beautiful poetry too! Literally never cared for these kinda shows before. Now I’m obsessed lol
I feel exactly the same way 😢!!!!!!! This one was the best!!!!!! Plus I only got to see the first episode when Elsea died 😢!!! I’ll never understand why they make these wonderful shows and kill off the best characters and don’t show anymore of the series!!!!!!! It’s history and needed to keep going for that fact alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😢Producers just don’t understand what the people want and need to watch!!!!!!!!!!!

"Elsa" was amazing what a soulful character, she stole the show. Was very pleasantly surprised by Tim and Faith's roles also! Sorry to see the show end.

I think the scene that really sold me for Elsa's character was when that man attacked her in her bed. The man was after her, she knew what he was gonna do, but the first thing she did was make sure that John got away safely.
I love 1883 . I've lost count of the amount of times I've watched it. It will always be my favorite over 1923 and Yellowstone .
I CANT WAIT TO ORDER THIS MOVIE.. i feel her pain . cancer at age of 56 .. diying . my Very First love . Married 34 years . i FEEL HER PAIN
She is the “wild of me” I could never be. My family crushed “my wild”.
My favourite on screen character of my life… 60 years. She is exceptional.

It ain’t too late to be wild again, Darlin’. We just need to find that spunk again.❤️
My family never crushed my wild, people at Canada did in 22 century disgusting discriminative nasty society under volonisation of England, who recharged freedom for holding people in mental dark ..they do stuff like in 15 century disgusting how they trumpeting freedom out of world who believed this propaganda ,they suppressing hsppines, freedom and kindness under Engl8sh brain washing no doubth Canada look like it is in this times
The main Lakota actor did a great job with his limit screen time. His facial reaction to Elsa speaking Comanche alone was incredible. Its subtle but you can see the shock and confusion wash right through him.
Don’t understand how this show did not win all awards
Truly. It was a good miniseries but I’ll never watch it again because it’s so gut wrenching from start to finish
Bad timing of release; during COVID
I thought Yellowstone was good, 1883 is amazing! Tim and Faith are amazing, so is elsa's character, the whole series is soooooo good. ❤ I'm hooked! only thing is I WANT MORE!!❤
We loved the lightening with yellow hair
The heart and soul of 1883! Lightning with the yellow hair
The heart and soul of the Dutton family I'd say

That tornado scene was one of my favorites in the show if not my favorite!!

i've lived through a tornado just 3 mil away - no one would be kissing someone like that in a 'nado
Poetry by beautiful Elsa in the rough times of wild, wild west. What an experience..
Watching this show alongside 1923 you can totally see where Beth gets her courage and fight 💖
Thanks for the love and support for being my son lovely fans together we can wipe out imposters 🙏
1923 isn't a patch on 1883
Beth is a goddess monster, Elsa was a warrior and a strong woman, two different things
Awww.. this is the first I've seen Elsa and Ennis's relationship grow... so special ❤
Elsa made this show. Period.
This series is absolutely amazing... I have watched it 3 times all 10 Episodes !!!
I wish this was a book series so much!
This and the sequel are two of the best shows made in the last 20 years…

Stop spamming this shit on every comment, idiot bot
You have to watch the complete series to really get everything but this is some highlights of Elsa.
She made this series.
She was amazing at narrating this.
I loved that character. Southern cowgirls dont often see characters we can relate to in spirit and love for nature. Most women on TV seem silly to me. They don't understand the cycle of life and how temporary we are on this planet. She lives life.
Shes amazing! The best character in this yellowstone universe. This show ripped my heart out with that ending
Did Sam die before Elsa?
Great Actress!
Elsa is drop dead gorgeous
Such an interesting voice. Just loved listening her talk.
I Like this drama very Sa'd when she past away ..she is stronger girl iam never forget her .
I wish they could make a part two with her in it. Beautiful movie, I LOVE THIS MOVIE.
@@marisol7933 Yellowstone 1883
Best voice ever
The VF (french version) is also amazing , her voice is so pure and fit perfectly Elsa 👌
I love Yellowstone 💛💛💛
She loved him and i think in reality she would have gone with her husband that loved her really truly without forcing her to go or stay with him a really true free love. How beautiful.
Just watched this week. Loved it. And Elsa...👸🏼🙌😍
Elsa loved her ,also 1923 n Yellowstone
Great show, bummer of an ending
She's a game changer. She lives on past, 111
I actually think the ending was quite fitting, sad but fitting.
1883 is the best of all the Yellowstone
Elsa was the best at narrating.
Life was so hard back then. Hard and mostly not long, for most people.
I totally bawled 😲😭😭 my 👀 eyes out when Elsa died that was sooo damn sad, imagine being the Mama & having to stay back n not be with your child as she dies, heart breaking 💔💔💔 absolutely loved the series & she made it a very enjoyable awesome watch. I wish sum how she could of lived so there could of been another series or 4, so we could see Elsa & Sam "Sam" his name 😂cmu cos for an Indian with a name like Sam"🤣🤣 together having babies & making a life for themselves. 10/10🏆
Best TV show I've ever seen.
These actresses are beautiful & act so well
I fell in love with her character...she is just awesome.....so well played by Isabel May and I hope we get to see more of her in flashbacks from 1923 and 1944....just found out Spencer, her brother that she never knew, carries her knife in 1923! Also the time line is a little messed up....when she says she's 18....she isn't.....she turns 17 on April 9 but she was born in 1866, not 1865, so when she dies at the end of the series, she's only about 17 1/2.....
What an adorable girl...
What more could we have learned from the indigenous peoples of this giant continent?
Continue Elsa and Sam story .. where they ride together again with the sunset and holding hands while on their horses
Love the one part a wolf shows up when the 2 young characters husband, wife, the girl, last name chow, she's part Cherokee, front n Caroline, so naturally beauty, a wolf shows up, while they are making out, he says, let him watch! Them it comes around,as quiet, the young handsome guy talks to the wolf as cattle are uneasy, he tells wolf he can have the forest but the valley belongs to him, where animals are, as he threatens to kill, " we are not friends" he tells the wolf he will kill him if he goes after his cattle.wolfs are smart, they can tell body language, for those who don't fear wild animals but show respect,a understanding, they know, they perceive your energy, intentions,as horses do
He's so protective n fearless.
Beautiful dreamer
I wish neither one of them died I think they would been a love 💕
If Elsa had grew up as a teenager in the 1960s she would have been a free spirited hippy.
❤vorrei vedere tutte le puntate..
i really enjoyed this movie.
Where are you guys watching this I got hooked watching the clips
Paramount +
His fury was so magnificent…… it reminds me of the scene with a Kevin Costner when the man was holding his love between the buildings, unbridled wreaths and hatred, pure fury, he shot that man to death…… Sometimes in life, you protect, without question the things that matter to you the most to you.. with total disregard………… as it should be!
Loved love 1883 ❤❤❤
16:52. She did the fk out of that scene! Amazingly authentic
Santa Algorithm recommended me a short from 1923 and I was hooked immediately, just by seeing that cute Sussex princess air-salute that american hunter with an invisible hat, my second mainstream/mellow victorian serie-love at 1st sight with Parade's End (everything Wuthering Heights doesn't count), but I checked that and Oh, c'mon.. A love-story with an indian, I should have expected that, now I realise how naïve I was, checking that kind of serie innocently. How original.
this was intense
A very rarely watch something more than once. This I did
I still think that if it wasn't for that damn dress, she and many others would have lived.. Still, beautifully done.
😢
Love that they allowed to ride astride!
Louca aqui pra assistir os novos episódios ❤
I wish they had started the whole thing here and taken it all the way through present time. Would have been the lingest running series of all time. Instead I just wTch 1883 i er aand o er. LOVED IT!
I still blame Margret for Elsa's death, if she hadn't forced her to wear "white" clothes the outcome would have been different.
This 100%
I agree, they should have let her go topless, with nothing but a Commanches bone breastplate (partially) concealing her "Frontier Silly Cones."
I LOVED THIS SERIES!!!❤🎉
I hate Paramount+ ABSCONDED IT!!!
Dang they didn’t include the scene she’s saying goodbye to sam. I thought that scene was absolutely beautiful!
I was all about Sam and Elsa I wish they could of been left alone ant the insecurities of her mother wouldn't of made her come along with them just to be killed of Sam would of went with them to protect her.😢 11:16
I agree, either she should have stayed or Sam gone with them, but I guess both felt obligations to help their own families/people. I guess she needed to know where they would wind up/settle if she ever was going to see them again too. I always hated the thought of her not showing up in the spring and Sam thinking she was with someone else. I wondered if James got word to him somehow? I also blamed her mom for having her put on that dress. Maybe if she kept on the native vest he gave her….the attack could have been avoided. Of course if everything works out and there are no conflicts…..you wouldn’t have a show, lol.
Her mother is a massive prob.
Her fav thing in life, RACING!
If she disconnects fm white mustache n her parents, she will live on.
@@anneb889 my take is Sam died too thats why he was waiting for her and there spirits rode off together

And our God given lanscapes. Wild West n a world without cellphones. When ppl takes to each other and had to move to survive and establish themselves to create a beautiful family.

"It was like watching a lion hurl itself into a deer."
Which is something that she would have never been privy to witnessing on the plains of North America. And she certainly didn't watch it on Nat Geo 🙄
Come on, writers, use your brains. Wow.
And before anyone says, "well she could have been talking about a mountain lion," no. They called them wildcats and Panthers back in those days.

The first 2 clips weren't the best and you skipped over some good ones.
when is the new season coming?
1883 is over. It was just one season. That's all it was meant to be. I think Taylor Sheridan was kicking himself for that. But Season 2 of 1923 (which will be the conclusion) is in pre-production now. It looks like it will be out late 2024.
Hi@@BostonAmy, any chance you might know when the new yellowstone season will be released?
@@gnoscyde Yup. The second half of Season 5 (which will be the series finale) is scheduled to be released in November.(Without Kevin Costner, which I'm still pissed about.)
@@BostonAmy Oh shit, this is the first I'm hearing of this, yeah that sucks hard. I thought it was gonna be released Nov2023 that's why I commented the question. How the hell they tie the knots without J.Dutton.
@@gnoscyde I know, right?I don't know how they're gonna do it. There was a lot of behind the scenes drama between Costner and Sheridan over shooting schedules. I'm kinda over Costner. I've always been a big fan but I think he's acting like a self important diva. The drama is that Costner has a passion project that was green lighted where he writes, directs and stars. Because of the writers strike, Yellowstone production was stopped like everyone else. There were six more episodes to shoot for the back half of Season 5 (the final season) and Costner was only willing to give a week of his time. Sheridan said no so Costner quit. I'm just pissed because Yellowstone has kick-started Costner's career. His fans supported him and he gained fans from the younger generations. He really couldn't make it work for the fans? Really? He couldn't commit to the last six episodes because he's too busy with his own project (which, let's face it, was approved because of his popularity from Yellowstone) Maybe I'm being petty but I won't invest my time on any of his future projects.
Can you just make season 2 of 1923 already
