I don't think it gets better than this. The most beautiful harmonies complemented by stunning guitar work from Albert Lee. Phil Everly will be missed and the contribution these guys made to popular music is immeasurable.

The memories remain.. that is good.. At age 12 I saw them for the first time on June 10, 1989.. 1991 and 1995 followed.. Great singers.. and now I can watch youtube to see all these nice rare clips. I have two small kids now and I let them grow up with "All I have to do is dream" and "Down in the willow garden".. they grow up so nice in a world without worry. Let it be like that always,
With Mark writing this tune and Albert on guitar how could this help but be an Everly Brothers standard. The Mark and Emmylou version is so beautiful it almost hurts. But, this is a song that was designed and destined to reach its greatest interpretation by Don and Phil.

Albert Lee tells some very funny and GREAT stories about touring with the boys, Don at first, then both after they reunited. He shared a great deal about their blow ups, even exiting the stage and leaving in different cars and staying at different hotels. He became Phil's.friend first, then though stand offish at first, Don's good friend. What an amazing journey he had with them.
When I saw the Everly Brothers in concert at Radio City Music Hall in the early 1990s, it disappointed me that they did not perform any songs from their reunion albums E.B.84, BORN YESTERDAY, and SOME HEARTS. I would have loved it had they done their cover of Dire Straits' "Why Worry," from the sublime BORN YESTERDAY.
