A straight baller all the way around plays defense. Caitlin is an offensive threat, but a liability on defense. The Iowa coach does a good job of hiding her defensively.

A lot of the NBA playoffs games weren’t even being televised when they came into the league. Games that were were often on tape delay, due networks not wanting to play the games in prime time, since rating were so low, also most teams were losing money, think of the WNBA today, but quite as bad. The game exploded during the 80’s due to Magic and Bird. Jordan also helped when he entered the league in the mid 80’s. But, he didn’t take over until the early 90’s when the Bulls won 6 championships. The Lakers, Celtics, and then Pistons owned the 80’s. Lynette Woodard wasn't ignored, unfortunately, her points came under 2 different sanctioning bodies, the AIAW and NCAA, because Kansas switched in '82 when the NCAA began women's tournaments. And Lynette isn't the high scorer of either. If you included the AIAW then Pearl Moore, the all-college all-time leader takes over with 4061 points. But the biggest hypocrisy of this issue is Grace Beyer of the NAIA just finished her collegiate career as their leading scorer 100 points shy of Pearl with 3,961 points during the same time as Caitlin was chasing Plum.

Has anyone actually ever been to a WNBA game? Has anyone actually watch old video of the WNBA back in the early years and up to today? The game has improved so much since the days of Swoopes - if you watch old tape of Swoopes you would soon realize that she technically would not be as good today in the WNBA. But with even that said - the WNBA is just flat out hard to watch - which makes it even harder to pay to go watch. I've did so for about 3-4 times a year for 3 years because of my daughters (who played basketball) but when they turned 15 & 16 they said they would rather go watch the NBA, men's college or even the local high school boys play. The game lacks speed, athleticism, creativity, excitement. Caitlin seems to have the ability to create excitement - but the pettiness of Swoopes reared her ugliness and tried to blow out a flame that could help the WNBA. The woke ALWAYS ends up destroying everything they touch.
