I disagree with the first minute or so, it should not be about "where were Caitlin's teammates?," it's MORE important WHERE WAS THE REFEREEING.
The WNBA/Commissioner are THE ONES who must be in charge. The comments about "punching someone in retaliation" is brainless because it will make the WNBA even more unwatchable. This is NOT prison ball: it is a professional sport. More so, many of these women in the WNBA are criminals and may take the violence outside the court.
USE YOUR BRAINS, please (this is to anyone supporting actual violence).

That was not a foul. That was physical assault, nothing to do with basketball.
Had CC been trying to shoot the ball or driving to the hoop or something I MIGHT be able to call it a hard foul and that’s part of the game. Not this.
This is a Ron Artest-Draymond Green type of assault situation.
The worst part is though, the referees didn't do or say anything, neither her team mates.

In Australia there is a law that is commonly called the cowards punch law that carries with it a minimum jail term of several years. Essentially if someone comes from behind another person and punchs them and they fall the risk of serious head injury is high- it has resulted in several deaths. The reason for this is that there is a high risk that as they fall they will strike their head on the ground causing brain injury. The risk is higher in females because they have less neck muscle and tend not to be as adept at protecting their heads. In the case of this "foul" if Caitlyn had struck her head on the court surface which being wood is unforgiving she could well have been severely injured. In sports like soccer that have studied concusssion injuries this it has been well established. In a sport like basketball falls are inevitable but this did not occur accidentially during play but was a deliberate action. If this occurred in Australia and a police complaint was made Carter would be looking at a possible 5-6 years jail term.

In presenting it as a "way of sports" that could be true but in this case, is an outright lie. Case in point: Everyone for the assault cheered and even hugged the woman who did the bullying act. If someone fights for a win, they fight for a win in a non-evil way. Competition and games can be tough and rough but there is a line that this act crosses that removes it from the innocence of a rough sportsman(woman)ship.

If you are young and have never seen Lieberman play, or seen Ann Donovan play, look at the YT footage of them playing. They played physical just like men and TOOK their place on the squads they played on. Lieberman on the Lakers squad under Pat Riley was ICONIC WOMEN’S BASKETBALL IN THE MEN’S LEAGUE. I am not supportive of cheap shots, I am supportive of leveling up the WNBA money so that these new young talented women never know what it’s like to drive across country in a van with 8 players to a game, wash your jersey in a motel room sink, drape it out the window of the van so it can dry before your next game tomorrow night. That is what season 1, 2, 3 of the WNBA was like. And it is exactly what it can be again if this nonsense keeps up.

5:09 Glad to see that Nancy Lieberman, one of the living legends of WNBA History, is not afraid to use the “J” word (new N-word for women), JEALOUSY. Lord forbid any male use it (even though it’s true) in 2024. 😂

I would love to see Nancy in the NBA or WNBA. She would be a great coach for the Fever. She would protect her players. It's no secret the current coach hates CC and wishes she was gone and running the offense so CC gas a harder time running the floor and getting more easy open shots. CC isn't going anywhere so hopefully the coach will. Front office needs to decide if they want CC or the coach and what is best for the team.

Caitlin is the best all around female basketball player in the world. She's a gift that these women can't except! Women just get in their own way! The NBA welcomed Bird and Johnson because it meant all of basketball would benefit from them coming into the league and had Jordan picked up from there
