New Speed Record!! Flying our Cherokee Six to Hilton Head - Part 1

- We fly our Cherokee Six-300 airplane to Hilton Head Island to escape winter for a week of sunshine and fun. On the second leg of the flight, we encounter 40-50 mph winds and set a new personal ground speed record of over 200kts. The speed on this trip was incredible, and we absolutely loved traveling in our Cherokee Six. To date, this is our fastest Cherokee Six flight. No, this is a fixed gear Cherokee. We have numerous Lopresti speed mods that enhance performance over a standard Six, including some improvement in cruise speed. The significant tail wind didn’t hurt a bit either.😊
