How did it taste?
Instead of corn starch I used coconut milk and it worked perfectly (i figure any plant based milk will work, not sure about diary).
That’s interesting! The coconut milk must have elevated the flavor of the sauce.....yummmmy!!!!!

You can also try coconut syrup. It might be good if you use shredded coconut.
Any fruit can be used.

I put the cornstarch, in a slurry of about 3 tablespoons of water. The cornstarch gets incorporated into the sauce faster, because it's already dissolved.

Hi Danix! You can rehydrate the berries by soaking it in water for a few hours before cooking. It won’t taste the same as the sauce made with fresh berries. Thanks for watching!!

Could I use Honey as a thickener and a sweetener instead of using cornstarch and sugar? I think itd be healthiee but im kinda new to the whole cooking thing
Hi Justice. I’ve never actually tried using honey in this recipe, but I feel the honey flavor might overpower the blueberry flavor. But you can certainly give it a shot, as let me know how it turned out for you.

Hi, if keep the puree in refrigerator , how about the texture ya? Bcs it has cornstarch in the puree, i was made bfre, the texture become jelly type & cant be as liquid as well 😂

I used 1 1/2 cups for this recipe, but this is such an easy recipe you can adjust it to suit your needs.

Hopefully you dont eat this every morning because even though very small amounts may not be bad for your health consuming cornstarch is not good for you may be she can find a different alternative to cornstarch
