You can do it! Same method, just hold your ball between your index and middle fingers (extended) and then make the wraps

How do you know how many wraps are needed for different size ball, like "1.5 for example

Just got to eye it up on the first pass so it looks like the full width. Better one pass more than one pass less.

1inch ball 5 rounds. 1,5 inch ball 5x1,5=7,5 rounds... pretty simple...
Sorry, was a joke.
I did 4 or 5 of these with pinball balls inside at free hand. Its more difficult for me calculate the length of the rope thata I go to need than the round. Do some rounds and when you think that goes to cover the ball side, do one more round

Informative vid though. I've just made my first monkey fist using a 3/4 inch ball bearing. It's not bad for a first attempt, but the only way is up 🙂

its a fid and they screw on to the end of the cord. theyre a very handy tool in many different weaves.
