Spray sealants are nice but do not last as long and require regular maintenance. Stoners Car Care Ceramic Glass Coating is a consumer version ceramic coating and I suspect it should last a few months with proper upkeep. J-Man, it’s winter here in the rest of 49 states.. So this is good timing to coat up those windshields. Just like ceramic paint coatings, it’s all in the prep! Get us a 3 month update.
Will Do. Thanks
@@HawaiiDetailinghow’s the 3 month update coming?
First time viewer, this was a fantastic video. Clear and to the point. You gained a follower !!!
Thank You
Great video! What a great demonstration on using the polisher with the Glass Stripper. A lot of people have asked that question before so I am glad you showed the ease of use it has when busting out the rupes! Thanks for the review :)
A Stoner!
You're so good at making these videos. Appreciated!
Glad you like them!
Great video as usual Jeremy. I used the Stoner Glass Stripper when I removed an existing glass coating in order to apply a new coating to all the windows on my car. Unfortunately, I wasn't thinking about ease of use and didn't use my DA when stripping the old coating. It was a little more of a workout than what I expected. Keep up the great content!
Thanks. Yes it is. The DA is a huge help. Thanks for sharing your exp.
Great video Jeremy! I’m with you I don’t think I’ve ever seen a video where the flashing of the ceramic coating is so clear. Always killing it sir. 🚵
Thanks. Yeah. I was happy with the flashing part.
I installed this on my car about 4 months ago. I absolutely love it! Hardly ever need my wipers after 25-30mph. Super easy and satisfying seeing the results in the rain. I bet this might help with the snow as well for us in the northeast!
Yes it should make melted snow roll off better too. Thanks
Thank you for the terrific video. I'm excited to see durability.
Thanks. Will check back in a month or 2
Great vid and demo as always. Cheers!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Great review Jeremey!! Thanks for this!!
Thank you.
😂😂😂 Jeremy , that was a great boom at the end !!! It’s exclusive to you only and love as I always laugh . 😂 great video as always .
Thanks. Glad you enjoy the channel.
Great job my Hawaiian friend! Thank you for sharing your videos. Happy Thanksgiving to and your family.
Thank you! Happy Thanksgiving
missed seeing you’re content, keep it up these great videos 👍
Thanks, will do!
Ive used the stoners bug and tar remover plenty. Great product. I'll have to give this a try as well. Thanks for the review brother!
Thanks. I appreciate it
I haven't used my wipers in over 5 years. Tesla Model 3 windshield angle aids well to glass coatings. I've been using Glaco DX on all glass and that stuff is amazing. ty
Yeah the rain peels right off
For the past 20 or so years I’ve been using Rain-X for similar results. I believe its main ingredient is a silicon based compound (ie, ceramic). From Wikipedia “Rain-X's primary active ingredient are polysiloxanes, the primary one being hydroxy-terminated polydimethylsiloxane.[9] The polysiloxanes have functional groups that bind to the hydroxyl group of the glass surface.”
Nice one! Have a good day Jeremy!
Thanks, you too!
Thanks man! Just subbed!
Thanks for the sub!
Even on a holiday, if i see that notification... I am watching!
Thanks. I really Appreciate it
Good video ! But you should try NanoSkin hyper suds! It’s a 800:1 dilution! And maybe you can do that foam soap vs Adam’s mega foam 👍
Following.🙌🏾awesome bro 💪🏾
Thanks. I appreciate it
Good use of the Rupes 🎉
Yeah it made it wayyyyy easier for sure. I wanted to show that it can be done without it but definitely a lot of elbow grease. Thanks.
Finding I’m still using wipers because I’m stuck in Chicago traffic when it rains. When I do get to actually drive the windshield is amaze-ballz. Side windows are phenomenal however.
Thanks for sharing your real world exp.
They have a maintenance spray as well. Using it in the interim will prolong the life of the coating.
Love this vid. What would you say is the product that has left your windshield the slickest?
In terms of a coating this one is pretty slick but does not reach the crazy slickness level of a drying aid or equivalent.
I like Stoner products, but my favorite glass coating was the Meguiars which they seem to have discontinued
Dude, man you been hitting the gym!
A little for sure. Thanks
what do you think about turtle wax hybrid solution ceramic graphe past wax?
to clean glass--> brake cleaner.
hydrophobic coating ---> rub a candle, polish till it dissapear.
the hotter the glass is, the easier it is.
done.
Love your videos what can you recommend to remove the water spot from my car windows I have tried 0000 steel wool it did not work
Happy new year
Happy new year. This with a DA polisher or some good old elbow grease. amzn.to/47qiNub
Put Stoners on my windshield a year ago. Still holding up good.
Awesome. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for the informative video. Would you know the silicon dioxide content of this product? I’m up in the air as to which one to use. NexGen has 13% for reference.
Sorry I don’t know that stat. It’s still going strong on my windshield.
Jeremy, you dirty animal.. you had my ocd going crazy when you went straight into coating the window with all that left over residue and water from polishing! Wiper management is super key to maintaining a coating and often times I refuse to set mine to auto for that reason. Awhile back I also relied on Beadmaker for three months because I broke the wiper arm and it worked great.
After the polish and wet clean I used the invisible glass and buffed to as clean as it could be. Dirty animal. Hahaha. Good spray sealants definitely work well.
If only rain and the roads here were that clean... I have used Gyeon wax, ceramic detailer, even bead maker. It's just too dirty here to not use the wipers lol
I understand. Thanks for sharing
At 11:37 Smash the gas at 35 MPH "Wooosh" all the beads are gone 👍
At 12:55 See you in the next one 💪 Yeahhhh 💪 that was Awesome
Thanks. I appreciate it
Man I love that you also have some points for those crying men, that don’t like to do extra cleaning 😂😂
Hahaha
What glass coatings get a score of 5 from you?
😎
It’s bin a while since I saw any new videos. Hey bra looks like you bin 💪 up or just wearing a smaller shirt. Like your reviews on products .
Eating good and working out a few days a week. Thanks
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving
Thanks for the support.
I wonder how this will hold up on my cracked windshield in -30F this winter 😅.
??? Hahaha.
Could P&S Clarity Cream also be used to prep the glass instead of the stripper or do you still need the stripper?
Yes for sure.
Think this would also infill/cleanup that annoying micro pitting you get overtime from road dirt kickup?
I don’t think so???
1. How does this differ from tried and true Rain-X?
2. Why 2 different towels during the towel test on windshield?🤔
RainX is a extremely temporary spray on product. A ceramic coating hardens and fills in porous surfaces making for a better result. It is also more durable and is intended to last way longer.
The 2 towels was just an after thought but the concept is the same. Sticky clean glass before and slick after.
My problem is the interior fogging on my tinted windows. Any suggestions?
Get them as clean as possible.
Just wondering do you have to use the stripper?
Prep is the key to a good application
Can you do ceramic coating over a tinted window yes or no
Yes
What if we have a number of rock chips? I've got them all over the place - should we still apply this anyway to prevent more chips? And will it actually do that?
it will not prevent chips.
Thank you - I need to figure this one out first.
Does it make the blades skip on the windshield at all or is it pretty smooth?
Mine is smooth and is lasting a long time.
If you use the clay, do you still have to strip the glass using the glass stripper?
Depends how bad it is.
I dunno. I've been using Rain X for a long time. It's cheap, and easy to put on.
Stay with it if you are happy. Thanks for watching
what's the shelf life once open?
Not sure but I would not let it sit too long before using it up. Maybe these guys can answer for you. @Stonercarcare
Hey Jeremy! This is Michael from MAD CAR Care! Just wanted to follow up with you I sent you an email!
lol bro you talk and sound like Rob Van Dam the wrestler lol.
Do not know who that is but hopefully he is a cool dude.
Why didn’t he throw the same microfiber cloth in the before and after.. 10:13 10:20
I threw what I had in my hand?
Second 😂
Why hasn’t the detailing world come up with an affordable hydrophobic tear off w/ say 3-4mos of durability?
Happy Thanksgiving all! Love the channel
Good question. Thanks a lot. Happy Thankgiving
When applied the coating, it filled in all the micro pits on the windshield that you couldn’t see before the coating application. Now I have a windshield that look alike its been in a sandstorm. I tried clay/polish to remove the coating, but since they are below the surface, they can’t be removed. So, i need to replace the windshield; I use OEM whenever possible, which will run me roughly $1300 dollars because will need all the collision avoidance tech recalculated etc. I would strongly advise to either skip coating the windshield, or make sure you do it to a brand new windshield.
I reached out to stoners directly and asked them to look into this. I have never experienced anything but super easy to use with great results here. Sorry to hear you had issues with your glass.
First
There he is. Thanks man
Thanks for always being first
