  • Joe explores the Chinese made and designed Roxon S801S Storm multi-tool and gives a brief overview of its 16 tools. For $45-50 you get quite a bit of value but long term testing will be the real measure of this multitool.

    i have the older version S801 since 3-4 years ago. until today all tools works wonderfully. from using the magnetic bits to assemble my furniture, fixing my bike, cutting down a hand-size branch with it's saw, and man, its scissor cut through 2mm thick leather like a paper. i always thought to get a higher end multitool like Leatherman's. But this bad boy always stop me from doing it. for its price around 40$, this multitool worth every penny.

      I will definitely test the saw, scissors, and pliers on my Roxon, so I’m glad to know it will perform! Thanks

    Best tool I have ever had. You will never need another and you will give up looking for anything better. Absolutely fantastic.

    i been using this tool for 3 years now and its pretty cool very handy.. it helps me alot almost everyday, for many years i havent encountered any problem with this tool so i highly recomend this one.. i gave my first ever roxon to my bother since he keeps on asking me to give that tool to him and i bought a new one roxon storm.. i keep on looking for a new multitool and theres a hundred of them but roxon storm for me stand out the most.. and its not expensive.

    Fun fact about those scissors, they work a lot better if you hold them the other way round. I have the S802 and the scissors on that thing kick ass

    I think you can use the filing, metal sandtexture by setting it by the side when not using the flat screwdriver and do not get in the way of the glass breaker.

      Good idea, that does sound possible 👍

    Very unique... those scissors intrigue me. Will be curious to see how they hold up if you choose to do a year use review like your Leatherman Free one.

      Right now it’s living on my kitchen counter 😎 the scissors are very different, but useful so far

      I agree I’m interested in it because of the scissors it’s the only multi tool I’ve seen with scissors that size

    There’s a newer model S802, which has replaceable blades (looks like other differences as well). The large scissors and replaceable blades are interesting innovations. But then there’s the comically bad awl and fake replaceable wire cutters... At least they’re trying to do something new, in terms of design.

      I saw a different knife from Roxon with the interchangeable blades, I didn’t know they also put that feature in a multitool! I like that they give you a diverse tool set even if some of them aren’t stellar. The can opener for instance is terrible to use 😂

    Actually the leverage for vine opening is other way around try it

    I’d get that just for the scissors and just keep in night stand

  • @jaredharris1970
    @jaredharris1970 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I’d get that just for scissors I’d keep that in nightstand and use the scissors when I can’t find larger pair I don’t think that will be as durable as a leather man or gerber tool I can see that beginning to fail after a year or so because well it’s Chinese made

      So far it’s holding up well and I stabbed a steel drum with the awl today. Just because the materials are cheap doesn’t mean the design or manufacturing will fail prematurely. My Leatherman Free P4 failed its first ever plier cut and I had to get a whole new tool from Warranty. And that’s why I actually test shit instead of speculating! You never know
