This is too crazy, I literally had a job EXACTLY like this a couple weeks ago- walked into the same thing, a shower full of 'sewage'. When I asked the guy how long it had been like this he said "a couple days"... Why the hell would you keep using the toilet when the stuff is coming up in the shower is beyond me (forget the fact that it meant he hadn't showered in that time), especially when you rent and have a landlord (me) to call to foot the bill! Renters never cease to amaze... I wish youtube would let you post pictures in the comments so I could share my pain lol

You have some strange plumping down under. We have separate lines for bath , showers, basins and toilets. They all join in the gully so you wont ever have crap coming out the shower drain.

Drain Addict > You should invest in a couple of UHF Handheld Radio's that would be good on jobs where you use an extra person to let you know what's happening on job's such as this one , have a look on Ebay or at any Repco Store for the cheap ones , as that way you can communicate with the person inside the hose or Structure without them having to go back & forth to you to report whether or not the area is over flowing , (Shower Base , under a house or structure etc ) this is just a thought !!
I try and watch all of the ads that are 40 secomds or less. I did watch one that was almost 3 minutes. I hate that they're demontizing your account on some of the videos. Just doing my little part to help the channel I love so much! Everyone watch an ad or two to help Ollie out 👌

A house I was renting some years back had this exact same thing happen and my landlords didn't seem all that concerned about it at the time. Septic tank needed pumped and they didn't think I had the wherewithal to make the call myself. They weren't too happen when I took em the bill.
Always happens to be that way. But it never looks like fecal matter to me. Always like chilly or chocolate. I guess the really disgusting part would be the smell. We are programmed to not want to eat if we smell that as dodo food gets you sick.

That's one of the biggest problems with these low flow toilets. They never put enough water down to keep the waste moving the way the older toilets did. They may save you money. But in the end all of the money you saved ends up going to the plumber to unclog the lines. That's why every couple of months I'll pour a big 5 gallon bucket full water down each toilet to flush the line and help keep things clear.
