When you put the camera in the pipe followed by the hose and we saw the pipe going off to the left I said out loud "he's never going to get that up there!" meaning the hose, my Husband said" what on earth are you watching?" Honest I had tears I laughed that hard. Another great video.
Remember: HOW he fixed it, he lift his leg & pushed down the other sink with his foot that pushed the wig into the drain. Jokes apart...i respect his work.
I was the manager of a high rise apartment building and the plumber would use a shop vac to suck clogs out of pipes- especially the higher floors. Worked like a charm!!
Immature me: **giggles at the pump making fart-y noises** Edit: Apprentice guy, I think you're awesome! I loved hearing ya clean your boots on the doormat and the mini-tours of the outside of the building. :D
@@michaels5647 As an HVAC guy I agree with you there in my experience, been to a few that were bad. The one that Always sticks out is a chinese restaurant where the food inspector showed up and found a bunch of bad chicken and other items that he made them throw away, when we were done my dad/boss was talking to the inspector outside when we all three watched them go to the dumpster and pull all that food out and take it back inside lol they got shut down right then
This video is amazing to me every time I watch it. The wad of hair at the end was HUGE!! The owner should have a standing contract with you for clean out twice a year. Great video Ollie!!
That hair block would have made a great massive dreadlock for someone.. lol You had a right mess to do, and you succeeded. A job very well done by a man who knows what he's doing. Drain Addicts forever!!! ooh.. that nasty chemical smell was probably from hair dye, or straightener.. nasty stuff.
I remember when my parent's house was getting it's systems back up after many years of being dry. Our worst incident was when we had a major block and when I plunged the toilet, poop came out of my showerdrain. Basement had like 6 inches of poopwater everywhere. The whole plumbing system was wrecked. Got it fixed ourselves and haven't had too many issues after.
Also mold, mildew, algae and other things that love to grow in drains would make it come out dark like that. Both my wife and roommate have light colored hair but it always comes up black or dark grayish charcoal color out of the drains.
I'm india I live in one of the metro cities and people here have no idea what they're doing my flat drain is very old and gets clogged every now and then people just poke it with a huge bamboo stick and I've never seen them doing this, you're knowledge is amazing man, I wish we could have people like you here
LMAO!! OMG Ollie I ROARED when you put your foot in the sink beside you. I can see the feminine hairdresser guy being just horrified and getting his feathers ruffled at your toxic masculinity. Great job staying on it until you solved the problem. Thanks for another great upload!! 👍👍👍
The sounds that come out of that drain are horrific. They sound like something from a monster horror movie. Also, I'm here from Roger Wakefield's video. Great content, mate!
I.....the smell alone makes you a greater man then I. the way you always have a bright side to things is also somethin else. Love your vids and am now subbed and notified.
Well here I am, a newbie Drain Addict. Am enjoying my dinner (pork ribs & sweet potato) while Dude removes a Medusa of a hair ball ! It's not glamorous work, but we need good blokes w tools to repair, rebuild AND unclog stuff more so than more hair salons. Just sayin' .... Greetings from Ontario Canada. Still in lockdown mode due to C-19!
Wow! Not much more to say than, WOW!!! It always worries me some when your shooting water up the line and all of a sudden this big blob comes racing up at you!! I guess it reminds me of the old 1950’s horror movie, “ The Blob”!!! Lol. Tell Ratty hi!
That was bloody amazing nothing like DA to make your day. It is quite cathartic to watch the drain clear after you fine unscripted one liners. Gideon's dread does rate as the all time best though so far. So you need to lift it Ollie lol
I have wasted my whole life teaching Quantum field theory and critical phenomena, if I could start again I would be the guy you call to unblock your drain.
Damn!!! 😲😲 lol You went fishing for a clog and pulled out an 8 pound (3.6 kg) hair fish. These are really rare species and I hope the owner realized that in the USA there are people who pay up to Australia's 5 cent piece. Excellent video 👍; usually I don't like another cameraman but this one was cool.
I've worked as a pipefitter/plumber and worked in salons as a nail tech. I have never seen anything like that. There should have been drain screens put in those sinks. That was just gross.
🇳🇱NL. I once asked a friend who is a hairdresser how this can be done with them there is a filter on the drain that is regularly emptied so that no hair can come into the sewerage this filter is mandatory in the Netherlands so that this can not occur I take such as I usually watched my pet video for you at 2 p.m.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
In most places in America, Beauty Parlors MUST have hair interceptors (traps) in drains that accept waste from wash sinks. Lucky they have the Drain Addict to get them out of a problem that they made worse with drain cleaner and Draino. They never tell you that they put acid down until it burns your hands or it gets in your eyes
When the goggles come on, shit's about to go down!
GOLD MEDAL AWARDED
Or come up!
Or in this case, hair!
So true
"shits about to go wrong"
Now we know how the Drain Addict cleans his boots.
Just walk it off all over the floor of the salon.
Ahh i get it now.

His boots have seen some shit.

Hilarious! My husband would have done the same

Wow, a new glove.
Seems Christmas came early this year.
and it was DRY ...LOL
U super lol
I thought hair salons would have those special hair traps fitted to their sinks. Obviously not.
50 buck trap would of probably saved them 1000s in the end.
They usually do
Women lol
Liam Burke we do, but it still doesn’t keep all of it....like you rinse out loose hair after haircut for example.
Liam Burke lol fr
Still my favorite Drain Addict video after all these years. Miss the Just days back then!

I see Ratty wanted nothing to do with that one... No corn

Nick Nevi he was getting a back, sack and crack done upstairs 😂
You have to admit DA that’s probably one of the cleanest drain pipes you’ve ever cleared out lol
Good job
They should just get you in every 6 months for maintenance. You would think they build a better trap system for these basins.
Or just dump a bottle of Drano Hair Clog remover down each sink once a week...
Hair and bubbles, what a combo! Your videos never get old mates.

That hose reel is a beaut bit of engineering! Really impressed with the whole setup… you’ve invested heavily in that!
Easy to watch, no drama. Very professional.
"All good Jost" and a thumbs up is an understatement. That was one helluva blockage, great work mate.

And this is why this man gets hired to do the job right 👍🏾
Job well done 👍🏾👍🏾
Wow, the solution ended up being to shove your foot on the other drain while you pumped the first drain. Im very impressed!!
WOW!!! That was a hairy situation! I thank my drain in East Texas, USA is working better after that 2 foot or so hair boa came out!!!!
What, no blonde hair! 🤔.

Thanks for sharing.
Probably the hair becomes dyed with chemical reaction with the excess hair dyes washed down the drain.
Also mold, mildew, algae and other things that love to grow in drains would make it come out dark like that. Both my wife and roommate have light colored hair but it always comes up black or dark grayish charcoal color out of the drains.
