  • I have been using the DJI Avata 2 drone for the last three weeks, so this is my review as a complete beginner with no prior experience with FPV. I even took it with me on a client shoot to test out the new possibilities and to show how it performs in the hands of an FPV beginner.

Thank you for sharing your positive experience with the DJI Avata 2 and the goggles. We're glad to hear that you found it easy to learn and that the goggles added convenience to your flights. If you have any more feedback or questions, feel free to reach out. Happy flying!

1st comment!!! one more time hahaha.... OMG I am very very tempted on getting the Avata 2 as my first FPV, I've got little demon Henrink on my shoulder whispering to my ear "buy it" 🤣

Really like your down to earth posts! Have never flown FPV, and waiting for delivery of my Avata 2. Decided to get the fly combo because it also works with my Mini 4 Pro so saving some cash there! In the US here will have to find some ways to fly without an observer other than my back yard…will figure that out later. Will first flights indoors anyway until I get comfortable with using goggles/controller flying. (Another leap of faith there!) Thanks for you and what you do for others! Care Fresh a must!

Awesome review 🤜🤛 The shots you got super low to the ground look really nice 👍

Yes, for some reason, it feels quite natural to go close to the ground

Excellent video, thank you, if you could pick one drone for overall use, would you go avata 2 or mini 4 pro? I have a mavic 2 zoom for 4 years and 9 months now I fly saturdays and sundays and am still running my stock props

All of you videos are excellent and the give us a real and objective view of DJI products. Many of us DJI Mini4 Pro owners are considering buying the Googles 3 but there are no in depth reviews yet on this way of flying the drone. Do all the features on the Mini4 Pro still work? Does Obstacle Avoidance still work. Can you easily switch back the video to the RC2 etc? Does PIP work when you fly the Mini4 Pro? I have also heard that you can use these googles to watch a video say on a long flight by putting in a micro SD card holding the film and using the USB connection to a pair of digital headphones. I am sure an in depth video will generate a lot of interest (please!)

does the quality get better if you use wide and standard field of view instead of ultra wide?

    I time-traveled from a Mavic Pro to an Avata 2. Dayum, I need a waterfall! 😄

I bought the avata 2 a week ago can anyone clarify that you can adjust the camera during the flight in normal or sport mode ? Because I can't only when the drone is seating on the ground but not during the flight thinking or returning the drone

Is it possible to upload a short raw footage of Avata 2 shot on not “ultra wide” but normal angle mode 4K and share it on a Drive link? I would like to compare with my Air 2’s footage quality

I picked up the Avata 2 the morning it came out and have flown 25 flights in the 2 weeks. It's just a great update from the OG Avata. Just fun to fly! Go to for short flights in my fleet (Mavic 3, Mini 3 Pro, Air 2S , 2- OG Avatas). NOTE: In Easy Acro if you maintain your speed while making the movement (faster is better) it's really smooth and looks natural. Thanks for sharing! Like #13

On the contrary Avata 2 4K30 D-LOG M is fully comparable with Mini 4 Pro similar settings with post production in DJI Lightcut app color correction. Even the Mini 3 Pro original 4K30 is good enough IMO ❤️

I will give you that 40 seconds to get it in air is great, but what about the "Time to first Karen Appears" time Henrik? 😀 Nice video, thank you once again.

Seems to me that one of the first Avata 2 videos I watched showed that you could use the Goggles 2 with your RC 2 controller. When you pair them together, along with your Mini 4 Pro, The screen on the RC 2 shuts off and you use the goggles. I don't know if this works with the Avata 2.

Unless you have a spotter with you, it's illegal to fly FPV in Australia.

What law in Australia r u referring to Sir? Or is it rules and regulations by the airspace authorities u're referring to? Can you sir distinguish between rules and regulations vs laws and legislation my little mother asks? 🙈😁😂

Isn't this show some kinda follow up on Olsen-banden in Denmark? Why leaving out EU EASA remote ID broadcast requirements on C1 class UAVs? 🤔

  • @Teflonfilmare

Two axis gimbal mount you say Sir? Whut? What? What kind of nice recreational herbs are you smoking today? From DJI AVATA 2 specs: "Gimbal ; Stabilization. Single-axis mechanical gimbal (tilt) ; Mechanical Range. Tilt: -95° to 90° ; Controllable Range. Tilt: -85° to 80° ; Max Control Speed (tilt)." 😂😅
