I just read an article where some owners are adding higher voltage outlets and separate sewage systems to their current property. This attracts RV'rs and people from cities with electric cars. It actually makes sense because in rural and near-rural there is barely any charging infrastructure for people looking for a glamping experience. Some even booked their property for a separate motorhome visitor two increase revenue on the same sight.

This was a great talk on a few levels. Also, you are a really polished interviewee - on message, clear, thoughtful. I really appreciated watching this. For my own background, I grew up in very rural northern New England- town of about 300 people, two room schoolhouse. I spent a lot of time in the woods. I'm no stranger to "real" minimalist camping, hunting, etc. I absolutely love traveling by motorcycle with minimal gear, wild camping, BLM desert stays, the whole nine yards. On the other hand, I also run a successful market research and consulting agency, work with Fortune 500 senior executives, and have the good fortune to experience higher end travel on occasion. I discovered glamping several years ago and absolutely fell in love with it. It really is all about the unique experience in a special location. I feel like glamping has really enriched my experience of travel overall and added something special in between the ultra minimalist and higher end accommodations. Now that I've jumped on the bandwagon, I have really been inspired to create something of my own in this space. I know there's a long way to go to make that happen, but I know that I'll feel a lot more fulfilled by that journey in the long run. I really hope that glamping continues to grow and local communities start to see the benefits of supporting responsible operators who aren't just in this to try to make a quick cash grab (which never works out in the long run anyway)

That was a great interview 👏 Although $500 a night is high, I've paid close to that for a specific hotel suit for the experience. In the end, it was nice! But it was still a room in the hotel, which I only slep in. I would pay for that same experience Glamping. Think about the prices of cruise ship cabins!
