I also really like how Hammer mixes the episode theme and Crockett's song intot the final scene. Great score. You really don't see this in shows these days.
Fantastic scene from a great episode. Jan Hammer's episode theme really creates a sense that something is closing in around Crockett. Thank you very much for posting!
As usual, Edward James Olmos plays it brilliantly. He seems to say so much with just raising an eyebrow. And he was in Blade Runner, too. How slick is that! :)
Best damn episode ever inculding this scene where Crockett sees the blue bag of millions of cash and being set-up by the agent played by Graham Beckel and Dan Hedaya plays the drug dealer who gets shot, fanastic cinematography of the boat fight sequence, and Jan Hammer's score it's so intense that i just can't get enough, but the really sad thing is that Crockett had a choice either get shot or throw the cash to the agent and that's why Crockett did the opposite thrown the bag to Graham's character.
Wow. Totally forgot about this episode. I remember thinking that Crockett had no way out after this. I know it came back to bite him in one future episode, but I wish they'd made more out of this plot. He could have had people popping up all through the rest of the series trying to get the money back or kill him..
What is the music during the boat fight? The Miami Vice soundtrack annoys me as like the Scarface soundtrack not all the songs are the ones from the TV show :/
I've seen this episode-clip before! Today's cop shows have nothing on MIAMI VICE! Shows like CSI & even MOTIVE all tend to copy each other with all this forensics shit! I would rather see some action!
sigh sigh.... if only our safety was to be protected by intelligent cops like these ones we will be living in an ideal world! Cops actually looking for the real criminals instead of some small time idiocy! I bet a few men out there and women join the forces thinking it will be like Miami Vice LOL This show was TOP GUN of its time and it will never ever be another show like this again just like V invasion of the 80s, the new one is just rubbish, rubbish actors rubbish everything. Nothing like the original! It's like all this tribute bands trying to relive, for example and a very good one, the life and music of The Doors! I'm sorry I tried but I don't subscribe to tribute bands pretending to "act" like the real deal
Lol, we have the Australian Doors Show over here ( Ray Manzarek gives them the thumbs up). I was a bit doubtful, but you're never going to see the real thing, so just go with the flow!
One of the greatest scenes in Miami vice history. Puts everything into context.
Payback was a GREAT episode.

Excelente os episódios do Miami Vice na nossa infância e adolescência, é uma pena não serem mais exibidos na atualidade.
Fantastic scene from a great episode. Jan Hammer's episode theme really creates a sense that something is closing in around Crockett.

Number 1 show ever, ever, ever. Nothings better.
😂🤣😆
miami vice is still the best show
I love how Zito totally dates the show by mentioning how he'd donate money to the Statue of Liberty! I remember that big restoration project - wow!

Only Don Johnson can wear pink trousers and look Uber stylish macho & sexy! 😎😉!
Gotta love the fact that Commander Adama and Colonel Fisk sat at the table decades before Battlestar Galactica was revisited...its just awesome.
My favorite movie is Heat and Favorite TV series is Miami Vice, both by Michael Mann.

one of the best scenes in tv history
great episode. man I was so bummed that the movie sucked
great ending
"This is suicide." "Tell me another way."
Que lindos actores son vale Saludos Ofelia
Desde Uruguay vale ofelia
Crockett have the best haircut :D
Television isn't the same w/o this show.

1:29 Hahaha, yeah!
5:54 This must have been the most expensive episode of Miami Vice... :-p
ma série préférée
Awesome episode but it never gets resolved does it?
No. There was supposed to be a part 2 episode however Frank Zappa (Fuente) was terminally ill by that time so he couldn't film his scenes.
What is the music during the boat fight?
The Miami Vice soundtrack annoys me as like the Scarface soundtrack not all the songs are the ones from the TV show :/
hands down
This should've ended Season 2. Would've been a great cliffhanger. But they never revisited it, makes no sense.

SONY.ESTA..
EN PELIGRO..,😚
oops - i was caught on multiple youtube tabs, wrong episode for this comment, lol
either Zappa WAS 6,' Johnson is a short man (don't think so) or camera angles were used to beef up FZ's height.
My favorite TV series is Miami Vice too, but my favorite Michael Mann film would have to be The Last of The Mohicans, hands down.
Mine "Thief".
Hey, isn't the bad guy Bob Beckel's brother?
anyone got a fishing net???
listen to castillio man, he knows.
yeah same here, he seemed to really have meant it, that's why this show is not black and white , unlike CSI
@vargas37 top 5 episode
This episode still confuses the heck out of me. It makes no sense why Cates did this to set Sonny up. No one knew Cates had the money not even Fuentes
It probably would have been cleared up in the part 2 episode that got cancelled...
Who was your mate last year this time??? LOL
I thought he said "maid", not "mate".
5:26 camera ;)

Where do you think these shows get their ideas?
Miami Vice the movie wasn't......the worst thing I have ever seen. The new V......was the worst thing I have ever seen.

Then again: The Prodigal Son Theory at the end. Is perhaps the most realistic one.
I do think it is a cop crusher . And still actual today.
Ha. Adama sits at a table with the guy who ended up playing XO Fisk from the Pegasus in Battlestar Galactica. weird.
Disgusting. He shot the the guy driving the boat. now feels so bad.
