    I need to check my videos before uploading. At 7:15 it's supposed to say:
    1. Find solved corner & edge
    2. Align unsolved pieces
    3. Insert pair rotationless

    • @KushTheGamer

      J Perm Alternatively you could add annotations there

    • @JPerm
      @JPerm  8 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      +Kushagra Jha Yeah, but they don't show up on mobile and you can't have an end screen and annotations at the same time (weird huh). So for consistency I just kept it the way it is.

    2:45 (I'm still a noob with CFOP, sorry!)
    What I do to determine if a corner+edge is aligned nicely:
    - If they share two colors the colors need to be paired up so that the colors match.
    - If they share one color, they need to be paired so that color does not match up.
    - If they share no colors, treat opposite colors (red/orange, yellow/white, blue/green) as the same colors and pretend they are the first case.
    This is easier for me than looking at the side colors because I just need to pay attention to the pieces that I'm trying to orient
    Again, I'm still learning CFOP, so let me know if I missed anything important ^~^ I'm coming from a background of other solving techniques, and trying to blend them where I can :P My greatest CFOP accomplishment was recognizing an un-oriented LL and doing the OLL+PLL in 8 quarter turns because I knew it from the edges-first method :P

  • @iurigrang
    @iurigrang 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hmmm, I thought of another recog system, but I don't know if it is viable.
    If the multislotting is a D/D' type of multislotting, I can pretend the color that differs in the corner and the edge (e.g.: blue and green) is the same, the case I really have is this one with a flipped edge.
    For D2 type of multislotting, just invert the non-cross colors or either the corner or the edge, then you already have your case.

    • @JPerm
      @JPerm  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's actually a great idea! I don't use that recog system, but I have thought of the same thing before. The reason I use my recog system is because it's consistent and I can use it just for recognizing cases in general (when I'm not doing keyhole).

    Hey J Perm. I was trying this out on my own and I already had done multislotting once, leaving me with two more slots. I tried to do it once more but I couldn't find a way without breaking a pair up. Is this because I haven't figured it out or is it not possible at all?

      there needs to be exactly 1 corner and 1 edge to solve for multislotting to work with this

    Is multislotting better than advanced f2l

    What if we can't get/ create any multi slotting cases?

      +Phoenix1128 just keyhole is also good for solving edges or corners when you have other open slots. like if a corner is solved and u just want to insert the edge. multislotting is like a special case of keyhole where you're doing keyhole on 2 slots at once

    It's very hard for me to decide whether the edge is flip or not. Can u give me some tips?

      I have an entire recognition method explained in the video.
      If that doesn't work for you, then try to get the colors to "mismatch". For example, if the corner(1) has red/blue and the edge(2) has red/green, then when you make the pair make sure red(1) touches green(2) and blue(1) touches red(2).
