Dear Soda Springs, Please send all the snow you don't want to the Adirondacks, as we haven't had s**t since the winter of '07-'08... Sincerely, Adirondacks
our 8.5 and 9.5 hp husky st 124 and the 327 blowers kept breaking down all winter this year wich sucks but its gonna make some differance with a 15.5hp br with a 30inch blower attachment
An Ariens Rapid Track is certainly the right tool for clearing mountains of snow. A snow plow for that amount of snow is not the right tool for clearing the streets. A loader mounted industrial snowblower would be much more effective.
I've lived here for many years, and here is my #1 bit of advice: BE PREPARED. It's simple, really. I won't bother to address the morons stuck on Donner Pass, but for those of us who live here, just re-think your priorities. Do you really have to drive anywhere? Stock up on groceries, and forget about TV and the internet for a few days. I have 3 different employers, but I didn't have to go to work because they were all closed...no surprise, there! You don't have to be hearty, just smart.
I would say that 70% of my neighbors who are full-time residents are retired "old geezers" who have learned to adapt, and to actually embrace a few days where they can have an escape from the idiocy of the 21st century.@@davidortega357
People get heart attack while shoveling the snow because cold temperature increases adrenaline in the body and on top of that you are working hard so if you’re not physically fit then you get heart attack.
That was an amazing blizzard! I’m glad you didn’t have a power outage or any damage! I’m down Hwy 50 just west of Placerville and no snow this low from the storm. My grandkids are waiting for Heavenly to open so they can snowboard. We love your updates.
Watched all the videos You posted and enjoyed them all , I am in Connecticut and plow snow here , I can appreciate what Your showing and what the road crews are doing .Stay Safe and enjoy the Snow since it’s not going anywhere 😎👍
Thank you for these videos. I worked at Squaw (Palisades) one winter in the early 70's and miss the snow. So. California has wonderful weather but alas no snow...except the local mountains . Happy to find your channel.
Thank you for all your hard work to put all these videos together and work so hard clearing snow. It is really hard when that much snow is in play. The winds add a whole different anxiety.
Definitely is, it’s foothill life as well and for me all summer long is filled with anxiety. Lived here over 30 years, it was obviously always on my mind but nowadays it’s not so much the dry conditions or fire growth rates that scare me as it is how many fires are started by man whether on accident or otherwise. Anyone who saw the guy’s videos who lit the King Fire will understand. One little match and you can act like a god in these tinderbox forests! Disturbing thought.
I live in Blue Earth Minnesota right on Interstate 90 in the middle of the state I have a very large snowblower similar to yours 30-in cut 15 horse motor I've used it once this winter for 3 in of snow and that was in January when we had a 2-week stretch of cold weather otherwise we have not had a winner in Minnesota at all temperatures in the 40s and '50s a large majority of the time '70s now I may have jinxed it but I put the snowblower away on Friday it appears we're going into a very bad drought something that's going to be very bad for the farmers
62 and thee worst winter I've ever been a part off! Southern Minny here too, got to use my snowmobile once! And had to trailer south to lower Wisconsin, really sucked this year!!!
Why do you ask? FYI, I don't own an EV, but if I did, I would recharge it easily because during this 4-day storm, my power was out for a total of 7 minutes. But like most uneducated haters, you will never form an original thought on the subject.
I've never lived anywhere w/ snow levels like that....but now I know that a blowtorch and carports is mandatory equipment. I'm in W. WA. state....no bueno for the deep stuff.
YT brought me here on recommendation. Nice recommendation on out kiwi swandrai's that your dogs are wearing. You got yourself a new sub. It looks rather cold there, Not here just now! Lol. Cheers from 🇳🇿 😎
I love seeing snow. Amazing video. I'm both envious and glad I don't have to deal with 10-ft in NJ. Great job to the cleaning crews. Worth every dollar they make.
Just a question. Those lorries are so huge. Do you have a load restriction in America. Is there a maximum weight and size for the trucks. My Dad used to drive large loads, like sectio of aircraft, during the war, and he had to have a police motorcycle escort. I love all those heavy vehicles and what they do. Not too keen on all the snow though! Best of luck to you all. ❤
Had a place in Soda Springs in the 80's and 90's. If you can still see where a car is under the snow it didn't snow much. This storm looked very windy and lasted a long time but I'm not impressed with the depth.
Well done. Lot of work. You could wait till August, then you don’t have to shovel it. 😊 Btw it’s pronounced- rooooof not roff. It has two o s in it Just saying 🇨🇦
Did someone say you were whining? I never thought that you were, it seems to me that you are ok with the whole thing. Is it a pain? Yup, but it's magical!
😅That's a whole lot of shovelling indeed😊got bad news for ya..there's another milder storm behind & u need to re-fuel your snow blower. Hey. ..know any private cabin or camp for rent as l am saving money to hike up The Sierra one fine day...of course😊❤ love the alpines there.❤Thanks😊
Yall got more snow this weekend than we did all winter in western mass... been a strange winter.. warm.. no snow.. 2 minor storms of like a half a foot or so all season.. not complaining.. hate plowing/snow removal in general but its been strange.
Snow is falling here on the Oregon Coast in Florence. Monday 5am its 29* We are minutes from the beach. I exited Sacramento, Ca 3 years ago and was told snow never falls here. Every winter for three years we have snow at the beach! Yes, only 3" but it's snow. The giant sand dunes are amazing when covered in white. Enjoy your environment !
Thanks again for taking us along for a ride through your Tahoe Mountain Life (and your sled run :). Great footage and liked the time-lapses. Such a beautiful place in any day, and any season. Impressed with that Honda 1132 blower! That was quite the system that came in from the west. The short bit of sunshine was so nice, but more on the way later this week.
More great stuff, love the mixture of sow scenes, cleaning, and a bit of sledding fun. You never come across as whiney by the way, it seems like you always approach it with gusto and a great attitude.
THANKS so much for keeping us informed! Beautiful up there, for the prepared!
Key word... "PREPARED" 😮😊
Dear Soda Springs,
Please send all the snow you don't want to the Adirondacks, as we haven't had s**t since the winter of '07-'08...
Sincerely,
Adirondacks
You should ask the Rainmaker for some snow then.....
nice one!
Just another day in Tahoe
I am always amazed that a machine little bigger than a lawn mower can chomp its way through snow that deep. You live in a beautiful place.
Try it with WET SNOW.
If you close up the space on the impeller discharge they'll work just fine on what snow@@michaeld53
me too! We feel fortunate to be here!

Yay! Driftcutters in an upload!
Looks like fun.
What part of Tahoe is this? Its beautiful
I didn't see a mimosa or bloody Mary in that brunch 😢
haha! what were we thinking
get a cab kit to put on your snowblower. keeps the cold snow and wind off you.
thanks, will look into that
You can't just let it melt when it warms up?
you could but you may not be able to leave your house
What is going to do when he gets to old to clear out all that snow.
build a garage and pay for a service to clear it or move
@@tahoemountainlife Don't think your going to find anyone that will clear up snow the way
you want it done. Especially the roof.
Your Blinders are showing.@@NOBlinders
@@tomhurley6096 I lived in the snow and did the removal myself. Then paid two different people
to do it and of course I had to go out and finish.
H E Y !!! LOL ISN'T THAT SUPPOSED TO BE A N ELECTRIC SNOW - BLOWER IN CALIFORNIA ??? AFTER ALL SOMEBODY VOTED I N GOVERNOR NONESENSE ??? LOL ???
Pretty much a average powder day on the east coast what’s all the hype about 🤷🏽♂️😂😂😂😂😂😂 jk jk heading that way soon!!!
hahha nice. Enjoy!
It's cute that Chicago and NYC think that only they have blizzards.
chicago rarely has blizzards that are actually good. any time we get a blizzard warning it only drops like 4 inches of snow which melts a day later
I have always wanted to live at Tahoe , but after watching these I dont think I'm hearty enough !!! Thats WORK !!
Tahoe is for young in heart for old gizer like me forgetaboutit

When you can't ski or bike shoveling snow is a great way to stay in shape (or have a heart attack).
Or pull your back out.
People get heart attack while shoveling the snow because cold temperature increases adrenaline in the body and on top of that you are working hard so if you’re not physically fit then you get heart attack.
Thanks for sharing the carnage 😂😂😂 people love to see the crazy snow.. myself included 👍👍
No problem 👍
That was an amazing blizzard! I’m glad you didn’t have a power outage or any damage! I’m down Hwy 50 just west of Placerville and no snow this low from the storm. My grandkids are waiting for Heavenly to open so they can snowboard. We love your updates.

Watching this from Hawaii, man I don’t miss snow and cold at all 😂 used to live on mainland with snow I hate it

I am from Colorado! Lived in a lot of snow. I live now in San Diego. Snow is beautiful !
Love your TH-cam ❤🌬️
thank you!
Good thing you dug out the Prius! Never know when you're gonna need to go 25mph in a 45 really quietly.
haha
You’re earning your dinners this weekend Dan. Hope the snow wans a bit and you get back to skiing rather than digging. Cheers.
sure did! Thanks Janet!
Your roof needs better insulation I think maybe?

What The Hell ! Your Snow Blowers are Gas Operated ?
Never thought you didn't do what you do out f love. One has to love their environment to do it so well.
well said!
10:16 Thank you for that. Signed---The Rainmaker
yea soda springs and NW of the lake got more out of this storm for sure
Thank you for all your hard work to put all these videos together and work so hard clearing snow. It is really hard when that much snow is in play. The winds add a whole different anxiety.
THanks and well said!
You never talk about the Wild Fires that I could find. The scaring of the forests. Just curious. That's "Tahoe Mountain life" too?
Definitely is, it’s foothill life as well and for me all summer long is filled with anxiety. You see more of the burn scar in his spring and summer bike videos.
The first time you see it,breath taking😥😥
It is a part of TML for sure. Since starting the channel we haven't had any close fires. If there is I will be sure to post about it.
Great footage, love Tahoe, the snow is beautiful but a lot of work . Enjoy the peace !
thank you!
Problème de lumières la souffleuse ou c'est l'effet de l'illusion de la caméra ??? Et aussi j'aime bien ton emplacement très belle endroit !!! 👏👌🤘🫶👍✌️

How the Electric Cars Working out for you Folks ?

Nothing like last year.
That view of the end of the driveway. Khrist! And the best part is, they will come through a few more times so that you will have to redo it.
spot on
Ca snow level already passed average and still going up.
yep
My cordless would never. Great job. 👍❄️
haha. Thanks!

agreed but this one storm cycle was pretty impressive!

If you live there, why don't you have a snow blower?
we do have 3 snow blowers!
COWBOY MUSIC.........UGH........
Such a great snap shot of the blizzard.
It was a wild one!
Leave alittle snow along the house for installation 😂
you know it!
Aloha hugs 🤗 love the time lapse and music snowshoes in your back pack for sliding walk back. We gave our Granddaughter a snow blower in ND
aloha!
love the smell of small engine exhaust in the morning.
not for the faint of heart
Why dig out the Prius it’s not going to run anyway
It is able to head out of the neighborhood now!

I think I would be utilizing that snow blower a bit more.
Must be nice knowing y'all aren't in any danger at all
The reason is that snow is very light powder. Cheers!
Ahhh snow blowing, I remember that awful activity ! I will never complain about plowing snow again (In my heated cab tractor)
very nice!
It’s gorgeous where you live.
thank you
wow
I love big snowstorms.
Just think. Come July, this will be a distant memory!!!
sure will be but we hopefully can still be skiing into Early May now!
Priusburgsickle!
More great stuff, love the mixture of sow scenes, cleaning, and a bit of sledding fun. You never come across as whiney by the way, it seems like you always approach it with gusto and a great attitude.
thank you so much!
How man feets at your pad?
hard to tell but probably 3-4 feet.
What is a "man feets?"
