I wonder if flipping them the other way would be better so it’s not sucking bugs and debris into them. I ride in the country a lot and those would fill up quickly here. Lol.

Maybe sometime in the future we can catch up for a beer. The build have been put on rest. I do have the ideas and dreams ready for my build, but I do have to get my business running up first. Hello great videos I have a question I'm about to get a killer deal on this roll its a 50" x25Y Carbon Fiber PrePreg 12k 2x2Twill Weave I was doing some research and it said I don't need a vacuum to make the parts that I want to make is that possible also how can I dry this kind of carbon-fiber can I just use a heat gun or will it just dry on its own after I put it on whatever Parts I want to put it on if you don't mind me asking or helping me out with this thank you
Hey man! Sounds like a scam. Is it from China? I never heard or seen prepreg used without compressed pressure or vacuum. That just not exist. Also if you thinking to use the prepreg to skin parts don’t do that. The prepreg not designed for that. The prepreg need a consistent temperature for curing. The data sheet should tell you how long and what temperature. The heat gun won’t work. What job would you like to carry out with CF?

So the roll is from Composite envisions and its new 50"×25Y the person went out of business and he is hooking me up for just $100 for it so do you think I should not get it? Keep in mind I don't have a shop im planning on DIY it myself
Hey man! I wouldn’t buy it. The prepreg carbon fiber has a use before date. It has to be stored in freezer because of the resin inside. The resin will hardens slowly if it isn’t stored properly. It will be just rubbish. If you would like to skin parts there is a lot cheaper way. Could you please send me those video links. I’m very curious. 👊🤟

I don't understand how the overlapping sections of prepeg didn't delaminate under vacuum without using an internal vacuum bag?

I just used a slightly larger vacuum bag and pushed all the excess into the mould.
