One of my buddies printed me some arm motors protector/ feet things with a steel ball bearing in the center so it will slide really smooth on anything you touch down on. Its pretty sweet
I love things that fly so drones were one of my favorite toys since I was 8. I am now 13 and want to build a cheap drone because I am a kid and don't have that much money. I saw this video and was in love. Not only is it a drone it is an fpv drone so I am super happy to start building!!
that is surprisingly cheap. Here in Europe it would be a struggle to find a decent half alive used 5' drone for that price. In my story I just got lucky, 200eur I got full racing 6s drone with 2 extra frames, 5 batteries, charger, a bucket of props, hand-full of spare arms, extra 5 motors, screws, etc etc.. So from my experience I would say that buying somebody's "cleanup bundle" is always the best from financial side. Some are upgrading to HD and just getting rid of all analog.. Good times for those who are fine with analog :) Got eachine ev800d 60eur and betafpv literadio 2 elrs 40eur :D So 300eur full setup with bunch of extra parts. Oh, and GoPro session 5 100usd, so 400. Full summer of beating, only broken one arm :D
I assume most are only frames with motors and props, and probably with at least an esc, at most with a stack, but without elrs receiver and video receiver and camera, which makes it slightly cheaper, though still impressive
I built a budget quad using that frame a few months ago and I think it's pretty decent for the money. Do yourself a favor and buy an extra one so you have all the parts you need to repair it, since it's only $30 for the whole frame. I haven't broken any arms yet but I have broke the top plate. I also used the same VTX and it works really well just make sure you secure your antenna really well. I had a crash where the antenna ripped off and broke the MMCX connector on the VTX. That stack looks pretty good for how much it is. On mine I used the Speedy Bee F4 50 amp stack.
Hey, thanks for all of this. Some of the parts are out of stock, but I think I found the exact same ones at different shops or ones that are at least equivalent or even slightly better. I am a *complete* newbie and the one thing that is missing for me is: what propellers should I get? I assume the type of propellor is based on the weight of the aircraft, desired speed, desired efficiency and kv of the motors, but since I am new I have no idea what propellers would be good for this build. Also since I am new I assume I need an RC controller to control the drone and since it is an FPV drone I would need some video goggles or at least a video screen. What would be good options for those? Edit: I just realized there is no mention of batteries at all. What batteries should I get and where do I mount them. You mention a self-built power supply, but I assume that is just used on the bench in lieu of plugging in a charged battery, but still, I would like some info on what battery to get. Edit2: Also your parts list doesn't list the capacitor and I don't even know what it is for. Edit3: My FC didn't have a plug for my camera and I had to get a different camera because the one in your list was out of stock at where I was ordering everything at (to save on shipping). I had to search all over the web to figure out how to wire it up. It had the standard 3 wires, and then another 2 wires for I guess an OSD key-press board? I'm still not sure if I got it right. I think I got the 3 important things right. The only SpeedyBee FC with a plug for analog video is their high-end one: www.speedybee.com/speedybee-f7-v3-flight-controller/. I can't find any other on their site with a plug for analog video.
can i use the Axisflying ELRS 2.4Ghz Radio Receiver? and the Camra is out of stock any recordation's for another analog camera that will fit the frame?
I had no idea you could still find those DYS Samguk motors. Pretty great motors for the price. You can literally order 6 (two spares) for the average price of 4 normally priced motors. The c-clip is annoying but at least there’s a spare in the box.
Thanks for sharing this budget build. This will be my first build in a long time. I'd like to set this up with my FrSky transmitter but I'm not sure what receiver I need to buy and how to connect if I want an analog setup. Any suggestions?
HELP!!! I have a YUNEEC Q500 ST10+ quad that i purchased around 2015 and I can't find support for this drone anywhere. I need to update the firmware, it will fly but has no functions like "RTH". Can i simply replace the STACK and start over?
Hola Drainman, I just build a quad with the same stack. But I have a small problem, when I arm the quad is arming too high, it should be on idel. How can I fix it?
It would be awesome to have vacuum suction cups on these guys with air tight vacuum to stick on glass or metal and more! Maybe like pontoon floats w/cams below the floats am Nd surface? That’d be cool
Great video, thanks for the valuable info! With a $150 budget (about 12,609 INR), it seems challenging to complete the drone project. I'd recommend setting aside around 20,000 INR for a more realistic approach. For a proper FPV setup, accessories like goggles, a remote controller, and other essential equipment are needed. Considering all of these, the total cost could go up to around 50,000 INR here in India, which would be about $606.6-not a cheap investment in India!
Hello,I have an TCMMRC UR26 Mermaid 220 drone but I don't have any 3d prints and I want some but I don't know which one fit my frame.Do you have any clue ?
I just broke one of my 5 inch and frame is put of stock so I bought a source one v5 last week to fly until my frame comes in stock....so much room in thr frame.
I prefer flying 4s and 6s on the same Quad. 4s motors with a throttle limit of 66 on 6s. Flys great, and you're not left out flying 1 type of battery when you have more 4s than 6s.
You helped me a lot, let me try to help you: You get flickering from your ceiling lamp. If you Film in a PAL or SECAM country try setting your camera to 30 FPS 1/33, 1/50 or 1/100 or 60 FPS 1/100 Or shoot at 25, 50 or 100 FPS at any shutterspeed. No safe Combination for 120 FPS unfortunately. In an NTSC country (North America, the North of South America): 25 FPS 1/60, 1/120 50 FPS 1/60 or better 1/120 Or 24, 30, 60 or 120 at any speed And now I have to find a way to wiggle my power cable and XT60 around the VTX😅
I do like speedy bee but the customer service directly from speedybee sucks. F405 stack no black box, potential ESC problems one lit on fire but I cannot say it was there fault directly it lit up after 2 months and I own3 or more iflight ESC,s that were my daily fliers never a problem, and a TX800 that never worked, and I went back and for for a year. They never even read a complete e-mail and wanted me to start trouble shooting from step one over and over, I threw it in the garbage. I like what they are doing for the money and ordered a new f405 stack. Hope they worked out the problems.
One of my buddies printed me some arm motors protector/ feet things with a steel ball bearing in the center so it will slide really smooth on anything you touch down on. Its pretty sweet
Any chance you or your buddy have the stl for em? Would be killer if I could print em for my new SourceOne frame😬
@C0RT1Z so I found it but every time a comment the url even when broken up with spaces it automatically gets deleted.
Just Google 16 x 16 drone skid steel ball bearings
Thats a really cool adaptation. Great idea
@@Chillin-fpv just got it from thingiverse. What a cool idea! Thanks
I love things that fly so drones were one of my favorite toys since I was 8. I am now 13 and want to build a cheap drone because I am a kid and don't have that much money. I saw this video and was in love. Not only is it a drone it is an fpv drone so I am super happy to start building!!
How’s it going? I built my drone at the same age as
love a good budget build.
2024 build in December is wild

True mate.
What's the flight range? How long does a battery last on that
Wow so simple i guess next step is your betaflight setting and ready to go really .What would you recommend to make it winter snow proof ?
Could we possibly get a 3-4 inch 2024 build I'm not ready to commit to a 5 yet 😅
I knew I'd like this video, and the channel, as soon as I saw those walls! God damn, what a collection! 😁
This is so sick dude. Added everything to my cart and ordering tomorrow once payday hits! 😄
What’s ur jobe
He’s got 100k worth of drones on his wall
He’s willy droneka
I assume most are only frames with motors and props, and probably with at least an esc, at most with a stack, but without elrs receiver and video receiver and camera, which makes it slightly cheaper, though still impressive
I have those motors and they have been great so far. They still run great and haven’t burnt out from crashing and bashing.
Keep the information coming, well explained and not boring. Yes to BF video. Thanks
Great vid
God bless you man! For every tutorial you make.
Hello, thank you for this video! But frame is no longer available, can you recommend another i can buy?
Hi, I have a question. By mistake I bought stack that have 60A instead of 55A, but its still dedicated for 6S drones. Do you think it will be okey ?
I built a budget quad using that frame a few months ago and I think it's pretty decent for the money. Dig it man. Just got back into fpv after 5 years off.
Dude couple questions.
Im just learning.
Is there no antena?
How do i decide props?
And what material are you printing for your parts?
what about the goggles and remote or does it come with the other things?
do you have the print file for the tweezers?
Bad ass i didn't think that would be possible in 2024 150$ bucks heck ya let's go!

Cant find googels in the description. What are some good cheap googles to use with this setup
Few questions,
Battery’s? How long do they run, where to buy
Can u link DJI o3 or something
Props, where to buy,
Thanks 👍
What battery should I use?
I’m checking the links that were provided in the video and they are all sold out. Does anyone have links to places where they aren’t sold out? Thanks
What speed can you get with this build? Thinking about making it
can i use the Axisflying ELRS 2.4Ghz Radio Receiver? and the Camra is out of stock any recordation's for another analog camera that will fit the frame?
Is that Melbourne? I'm up in Titusville.
Just wondering what kind of controller and goggles should I use if I build this for cheap?
Nice friggin work Drain Man.
Quality video.
im a teenager and im wanting to get into something like this appreciate the video!!
what battery back do i use?
Sick build. Thanks for the parts list, my friend! Nice flight. Keep sending.
Will try building this. Battery, google ?

Great build! Could you do a cinewhoop (analog of course) for similarish amounts?
Thanks for sharing this budget build. This will be my first build in a long time. I'd like to set this up with my FrSky transmitter but I'm not sure what receiver I need to buy and how to connect if I want an analog setup. Any suggestions?

It doesn’t have a gos so it doesn’t have rth.

What would be a good digital starter setup goggles and camera? Budget friendly

I live in Wyoming at 5500 ft elevation. Would I need different motor speeds or greater pitch props? Any help would be appreciated
Nah you would probably be good I think I'm not a expert tho
Appreciated! Astute on point. As always, an immersive tutorial.
Ia the video at the end by a gopro or the camera he fixed can someone reply?

Do I program it
What's up Drainman? Keep it going Brother.🤙🏾
Hurray NOT HD ! subscribed just for that fact ! So how clear is that VTX ? Better than TBS ?
hi :) just want to ask if you can pair the radiomaster tx16s with the DJI o3 air unit ?
Hello,I have an TCMMRC UR26 Mermaid 220 drone but I don't have any 3d prints and I want some but I don't know which one fit my frame.Do you have any clue ?
I wanna see you do a build video with the Vanny Pro 🤘
Great video bro, thank you👍
Cheers 🎉

Outro was awesome
How well does this drone fly?

do you have the myFPVstore in melbourne FL?
I would use a smoke stopper to test it first because I don’t trust my soldering. lol. Nice build though.
You helped me a lot, let me try to help you:

where is the links
How do you guys get these price i pay mee then 50 for the frame alone

sickass build bro holy
Sweet quad . Love red
Great video brother
love this tutorial, plan on building
did u build? - how did it go
Thanks. Will be taping RPG rockets to one of these soon 👍
So will I, and I don't even live in Ukraine.
the word budget got me
Must have raised the prices, I get it to 199,78 USD excl. shipping. Without the 3d parts.
I do like speedy bee but the customer service directly from speedybee sucks. this is awesome
But how much is the controller how much is the batteries this video is not complete sorry sir!
I think you installed the vtx upsidedown. (Maybe)😮
The intro really should give us just the tiniest idea of what we can expect from this build other than "the best!"....
Awesome
You're so awesome
🔥 🔥
With all those parts the price for me is a little over 200$ and it might ruin my chance at gov because I can’t spend that much what do a do.
Damn not only do i live in Europe but all the parts on the list are out of stock😢
I need you to build one for me.
Bruh you have so many damn quads 😂😂😂
Hey drainman could you help me out
Hi there just saw your channel, awesome, was wanting to no, can you build me a 8s racing drone for $250 if I sent you the money, thanks
Soft mounting was a troll. Drop it!
Especially living near the beach .. we get whale and dolphin. Sea bass, fluke, blues, strippers, seals and otter even. Sharks? YUP.
current price of the drone is 320$
before upgrades
Thats frame is as thick as Tana frame from rotor riots, know of a dead cat frame built that thick?
I would have used Emax Eco motors instead of these ancient sanguk motos
150$ my ass the first four things on your list is 168$ 😂😂😂
i got roasted for wanting 10 thousand kv motors 💀
The radio remote cost 250$ , it wont fly without it so thats more than 150 ~
Congrats on your botgrinder ranking 😂
😁 Bot was pretty harsh with Rotor Riot.😂😂
Little harsh on Bardwell to 😄 🤣
Can i get one of your deones pls i have no money but i wanna have fpv drone😢🥺
Love the tutorial but that is not $150
That's what I've seen a lot of with these build videos. I started buying parts for different "150$" and it has turned closer to 250$
