HOLY SHIT, RUSTY LAKE, I AM HYPED! Also, there are more games, and all of them connect to the original 9 of this collection. Also, each game/collection has missable achievements that add to the universe and the story. Can’t wait until you get to games like Rusty Lake Roots or Rusty Lake paradise. As you get further into the series, you will see just how insane the timeline of events really is. There are 11 standalone games in the series, plus the 9 in this collection for a total of 20 games in the series, plus a short film that relates to one game’s second half and 2 ARGs for two different games’ secret achievements and endings. Also, Rusty Lake is both the studio and the series. And as a final addendum, all of the games in this collection were originally flash games released on Kongregate back in the day.
The first couple Cube Escape games are definitely a bit janky at times, but there are some real gems later on once the developers have figured out the formula. I especially recommend Rusty Lake Roots, Rusty Lake Paradise and Cube Escape Paradox
One of my favourite game series, hope to see you play them all. I think the dev put out an "recommended play order" list somewhere if you get confused which to play next, which i think is mostly, if not fully, in release order. There are some secrets that are even needed for achievements in some of them, which require codes from previous games, or even future ones if i am not mistaken, I don't expect you to get 100% without a guide, but just playing through the games' main puzzles and getting that lore is super worth
seeing as you're doing some point-and-click puzzle games now, I highly recommend the work of Mateusz Skutnik, especially the Submachine series. One of my all-time favorite point-and-click puzzle game makers
@@crazyabe4571 yesss i was so happy when i saw that. he even added a new section to replace Submachine Universe, as well as hints of a further game that will come out... The Engine.
Rusty Lake is such an interesting series. You will be finding yourself returning to previous games to solve meta puzzles in future games, and past games as well. The series was well thought out since Early Games have alternate solutions that future games hint to, such as a second combination for the safe in the nightstand. And savingg Harvey from being killed is extremely important for the overall story.
please continue this series, i have played parts of this series and never have been able to find the full story and never understood the story, id love to see how this ends and where this goes
"The past is never dead, it's not even past." I am so happy to see Tyler playing these games, and I really hope we get a series out of them (especially with the newest release, Underground Blossom). My siblings and I love them, and we always have fun playing them again even after knowing the puzzle solutions. Also, who else named the fuzzy void man here? We named him Jeremy, and that's been his name in our heads ever since.
1: You upload pretty often! Good for you! 2: The Rusty Lake series is amazing, I seriously suggest playing all of their games if you haven't already. I had a lot of fun with them, and you probably would too!
YOOOO RUSTY LAKE IS MY FAVORITE ESCAPE GAME SERIES!! I got really into it when the series was being actively updated and watched Mattshea play them all to completion, so I can't wait to do the same again for you!!
OMG YES FINALLY SOME ATTENTION TO RUSTY LAKE THESE GAMES ARE SO GOOD!!!!! (Also Tyler, these games get scary around the 4th or 5th so jumpscare and gore warning)
I love those old adventure games. I have one recomendation - game named "Still There". I am not sure if it will be great fit for you. But it is deduction game that I really loved. It has like 5 hours of game time but is also story based. Game is about deducting how to operate different machines only with non descriptive manual in a remote space station.
Oh man, have you ever played MoTaS (Mystery of Time and Space)? It's an absurd point-n-click flash puzzle game much like this with a mystery/scifi theme, and I think you'll love it. It's one of only a dozen or so flash games that I can still readily name as being memorable.
Ive already played the entire rusty lake series. The collection, Roots, Paradise, Hotel, Paradox, The past whithin, The white door, Samsara room, and Underground blossom. So yeah, I'm experienced.
I don't want to exaggerate, but I've been waiting for this for YEARS. Cube Escape is is such a cool series and so few people are covering it on TH-cam.
Make sure to play them in release date order! That means sometimes taking a break from the collection to do Hotel/Roots/Paradise accordingly! The lore won't make as much sense otherwise.
LET'S GO RUSTY LAKE WOOOOOOOO Literally my favorite puzzle game franchise thank you for playing this, please play the whole cube escape collection if you can
I remember I played either this or another one of their games online in my aunt's house (just give him computer so he is not bored kindof situation). And one scene really stuck out to me and made me scared probably years after
!!! I always figured Tyler would pass these games up since they’re more story-based, and I don’t think I’ve seen him play any inventory object puzzles. There is, though, a variety of puzzle mini-games, depending on the game. These are my absolute favorite games. It definitely feeds the part of my brain that loves collecting and loves things that match, finding connections between the different games. And I love the aesthetic. Personally, I do not enjoy horror. I don’t know what that says about me or these games. Are they less scary or intense? Does the art style balance out any body horror? It’s exciting to see how the quality has improved over time as the popularity has increased. The music is really good. (I was really shocked when I saw TH-camrs using “the cube escape soundtrack” until I went and looked it up to see that Seasons uses the free music from Incompetech by Kevin MacLeod.) The fan community is awesome. I believe they just did another egg design contest for Easter. I get a kick out of the Actual Reality Games that have you checking out their social media which prompts me to look at all the cool fan art. And finding clues in the html of their made-up websites. Hope Tyler enjoys!
I'd be hyped to see you play through the Submachine series, if we're talking about older puzzle games with a creepy atmosphere. I think they're on steam in a big collection?
tyler is the type of person to be the person that says ''hold on give me a sec'' when someone is at the door, and it would take a few hours cause he turned every room in his house into a escape room game
Lopk up the recommended play order! There are a few other Rusty Lake games you should play in between a couple of the Cube Escape titles, mainly Rusty Lake Hotel, and Roots
well this was unexpected. i never expected tyler to begin playing cube escape/rusty lake but here we are. i seriously hope you enjoy it because some of the later games are some of the better puzzle solving games i've played (RL Paradise and CE Paradox are some of the best ones i've played). also just so you know, CE Lake is a VERY short game, you might want to lump that one together with the next game in the collection (lumping it with Seasons would've been ideal since they released at around the same point).
NO WAY TYLER IS PLAYING THE RUSTY LAKE SERIES THIS IS GONNA BE SOOOO GOOD
Meh I'm sure this video was recorded on Apirl 1st. Right? Right!?

You have fantastic taste
but he still has to play ALL of them, if he continues playing them, since they're all important to the story

With the amount of times this game scares Tyler, I don’t want to know what happens when he plays a horror game
