The things you had to weigh in the ear were symbolic of the anatomical parts of the human ear, by the way: the eardrum, the stirrup bone, the hammer bone, the anvil bone, the ear labyrinth, the cochlea (spiral-shaped) and the auditory tube.
so glad you are actually going through with the rusty lake series. i highly recommend going back and trying to get all of the achievements, there are some really good meta puzzles i think you’ll enjoy
There's actually two endings for the fishing one, you did the secret route and got the good ending, but if you used the diamond instead you'll get the true ending which is... well lets just say it doesn't go as well for the main character.
The man you play in the second game is Vincent van Gogh, a famed artist who went a bit crazy and famously cut off his ear. Edit: Oh lol, you mention him a minute later
I think the way you describe him as "went a bit crazy" is insensitive he didnt "go crazy", he had severe mental illness, and couldn't get help for it because those resources weren't really available when he was alive, and his mental illness spiraled so much he ended up ending his own life iirc his most Famous painting, Starry Night, was of a view he had when he was in a mental hospital-
Was looking forward to this episode since watching the first episode. Really enjoyed the concept of changing the future by altering the past through very minor changed
The sunflowers, the portraits, the absinthe, Paul Gauguin bringing the palette, the whole room literally being the one from ‘Bedroom in Arles’, the ear… oh Tyler, this was hard to watch 😂 I’m surprised the editor didn’t give him shade for any of that.
Oooh yay more Cube Escape/Rusty Lake and a twofer at that! Yeah, the Lake is pretty short, especially going with the Emerald ending. Thank you for actually going back into Seasons and finding that easter egg though :D Arles is one of my favorites to replay because I love both the painting puzzle and the liquids puzzle.
“Diamonds don’t grow on trees.” That’s correct, but there is a species of tree that serves as an indicator that the soil has the right composition which makes the presence of diamonds more likely.
I hate it when room escape games hide stuff in the floorboards, it's basically trial and error even if you do know where the items are, thankfully Rusty Lake only really does it one time but I remembered as a kid just how many room escape games did that sorta thing.
i have ben playing the rusty lake/cube escape games for a couple years now and have been loving them. so i hope you do too. though i have a question, what order are you gonna play them?
🔹4:00 wow very cool how new symbol math😍🆕, also 3:53 wth what did mean '6'? look like 👃? or 🔭?… why??🤔🤔 🔸160th! I'm 21 hours start video and too end video
One thing I noticed is that you don't seem to be familiar with the heraldic practice of representing colors by hatching, like with the lines you mention at 13:35, as well as another representation which is to put shorthand writing into the respective field representing the color it is to be filled with. As soon as there were letters on colored objects I was immediately thinking "this tells you what colors the b/w drawings should be filled with",
Tyler not knowing anything about Van Gogh hurt my soul lol
The main laso?
he did tho
He gotta know about Van Gogh
@@mr_dodex He didn't recognize the self portraits or the mirror of him that cut his ear off *until* he saw starry night lol
Who?

Who said the true ending was the bad ending
@@bennettdees853 I'm trying not to spoil it too much.
@@omegahaxors9-11 I'm pretty sure the ending he got was the true ending
@@bennettdees853 The diamond is the true ending, he got the emerald from the box which you can only open up with information from the other game.
@@omegahaxors9-11 so? Why does that matter?
8:12 balatro brain rot
PAINT BRUSH +1 HAND SIZE GRAHH
real though !!
9:46 the flowers were originally big…

yknow, this is finally a way i can consume rusty lake content without being scared
im not joking the only cube escape game i played scared me so much
I honestly don't blame you, I went in with very little foreknowledge and they're FREAKY
5:30 Welcome to the Cube Escape series. Enjoy your stay at Rusty Lake.
This isnt the woke Mass Transit game wtf💀
@@aturchomicz821 what "woke" mass transit game
Was looking forward to this episode since watching the first episode. Really enjoyed the concept of changing the future by altering the past through very minor changed
Changing the past becomes a more integral part of the story much later
The sunflowers, the portraits, the absinthe, Paul Gauguin bringing the palette, the whole room literally being the one from ‘Bedroom in Arles’, the ear… oh Tyler, this was hard to watch 😂 I’m surprised the editor didn’t give him shade for any of that.
8:18 "Some dude" I'm dying
2:34 SLIGHT JUMPSCARE!!
Cheers to the great editors. I know what will happen next but you made it better and still got me 😂
I dont think tyler is ready for how good these games get and how far the lore rabbithole goes
Problem is that he's not a big story man. He might defy the odds with this series but i wouldn't be so sure
These games are reminding me of when me and my sister would just play escape the room type games on our phones all the time
I'd recommend going for 100% completion with Rusty Lake, there are some very interesting Easter eggs and cross-game puzzles
Drinking glass after glass of Absinthe. "Wait a minute, every time I drink something weird happens!" - yes, yes it does.
I love this series I’m so happy you’re going over this
Thank you for covering this sieires and giving it some love. The best one is Rusty Lake: Paradox
It’s the Last one tho, so won’t be getting there too soon
I'm currently replaying the Cube Escape games, and seeing you upload not 1 but 2 games in one video was a treat!
So glad to see more of this series, can't wait for rusty lake hotel!
I was looking foward to this!! Thanks for the upload, Tyler!
YES MORE TYLER RUSTY LAKE!! :D
He played 2!!! *Happ noises*

14:15 I knew the guy looked like Vincent van gogh
Boys, we're getting closer and closer to the day when Tyler just starts doing escape games on addictive games
15:00 Oh I get it! Ear drums!
Also got the anvil, hammer, and stirrup
@@Sol_Aureus Now if only someone could explain where in my head the inner ear is.
And the 2 shells are the oval and round windows
I hoped that I am not the one who spotted this😂
It felt so weird when me, a man of science that slept in history and art classes, recognized the paintings way before him
I am so absolutely here for Rusty Lake being covered here
If only there was a mending book
Vincent van Gogh famously drank absinthe.
4:52 “was that the bite of ‘87?”
That was my first instinct as well, 1987 will never not be associated with Markiplier saying those words to me
Man, I do like aliensrock's modes content but his videos from the 1800s really just hit different.
PLEASE get all of the achievements, you will LOVE the meta puzzles for some of them
Love the rusty lake series!
If anyone is wondering he does actually get the Van Gogh "sneaky refference" eventually just keep hanging in there
The girl with the camera is also from one of the rusty lake games.
“Diamonds don’t grow on trees.” That’s correct, but there is a species of tree that serves as an indicator that the soil has the right composition which makes the presence of diamonds more likely.
0:08 annullato doesn’t mean canceled in that sense lmao, a more appropriate word would be cancellato
LETS GOOOO ITS BECOMING A SERIES
Wooo yeah another rusty lake episode!!!
I know a game that came out a while ago called "missing Translation". It's a short game, but I find it sweet :)
Maybe Tyler could play it some day
LETS FREAKING GO!!! RUSTY LAKE HYPE!!! A BLESSING FROM TYLER!!!🎉
+1 hand size got me dying. Mr editor needs a raise
More rusty lake! Lets goooooo!
Oh my god aliensrock and rusty lake this is the greatest combination ever.
I probably shouldn't be watching these at 4am...

though i have a question, what order are you gonna play them?
Yayyy! More rusty lake!
The past is never dead. It is not even past.
14:46 those are all ear parts. Hammer, Anvil, Stirrup are bones, Snail = cochlea
C'mon you didn't even recognize your friend Paul Gauguin!
the dead guy's name is adam btw. you stole his apple.
The fish-tery, if you will
Van Gogh shows up
"Hey ,look a dude"😂
4:51
I'm pretty sure you mixed up the event here, dear Tyler
cube is always in the dead/not dead guy. So obvious! Where else would you put a cube?
FYI, to those who do not understand why the painting cut his own ear off, that’s Van Gogh. According to history he actually cut off his ear
It was a mirror, not a painting, but yes
Good luck in comprehending (I hope that’s right word) lore
406 views in 3 minutes? Tyler’s popping off
"Starry Starry night" lmao

I'm pretty sure Van Gogh only cut off the ear lobe, not the entire ear
Nope he cut off the whole thing
@@eliotoole4534 Okay, I just checked, and I got it reversed; he left the lobe. It seems to be that he removed around half of the top part of his ear.

Tyler too busy solving puzzles to pay attention in Art history class 😭
7:36 should have done the normal diamond too (its a different ending)
Tyler will you do bombe it isn’t a video worthy game but could work as a stream game it’s an extremely difficult minesweeper
Yessssss
I can't believe he didn't recognize Van Gogh
14:23 to impress the ladies when you it to them
No I cannot... Gave up in 40 seconds
Nuh uh
hi!
