This does look very well made but FYI it is based on the Cosworth RSP20, as seen in many IRL race cars. Also PSE state it has 2x 7 way switches, ie. Funky switches?
A very nice looking bit of kit Dave. I use a Stream Deck XL as a button box which works well for me, but I must admit this would look nice on the rig. I like the mounting solution they have gone with.
LOVE this device. I have a steamdeck XL as well, but I am not sure it will provide all the sim hub functionality the PSP does. Maybe I am wrong? I am specially looking for the traffic and flags visuals.
It’s a fantastic looking piece of kit that goes a long way towards looking the part when you bolt it onto a rig. I only wish that the buttons could offer the same layered functionality as a Stream Deck 🤷♂️
Same here, i have a streamdeck, and i cat justify using anything else, including this button box, looks amazing but it basically cant compete with the versatibility that the stream deck has
Have to admit, I was super hesitant about buying one but I trust Dave and his opinions. I think some of you are missing the point to this device. Its the SIM HUB integration for me that was the selling feature. Now that I have it all setup and profiled to what I am looking for out of it, I couldn't be happier with the purchase. Simon from PSE reached out to me multiple times to answer my questions, the service was stellar. Exactly the kind of people I want to do business with. Big thumbs up to both Dave and Simon!!! Well done. Might give their wheels a go at it too. Very happy with the quality. Thank you Dave for the Thoughts
Surely another fine recipient of an "Official DaveCam 'Nice Things' Award"? Love Dave's 4 step, Looks/Quality/Performance/Value system, could be used for buying practically anything, although maybe it's one reason Julie doesn't let Dave do the weekly groceries - he'll take 4 times as long!
These things always make me feel sorry for myself for going the VR route for Simracing - then I hear the price and I am like 'Good riddance, sticking with VR:D'
Same haha. When i look at my Fanatec Clubsport Formula V2.5 with all the lights and the switches. I'm sad i can't see then in VR. But i feel it's totally worth the sacrifice for the immersion of VR.
Thank you for the review and info Dave! Looks good, I will be placing an order with them Friday when release. I just checked their site now, it is not available yet. Keep up the great work! I do enjoy your videos!!
Nice, it would be good if one of you guys can make some videos on all the things you need to become a sim streamer, i.e. Computers, cameras, mic's, what software is needed, how to use the software etc. etc. lots of people has done bits and pieces but nobody has done anything to help those dummies like me getting it right.
I'm interested in the macro elrment as already have a button box but not for macros. Does it work well with ACC? Does it support macros at the OS level (i.e. starfing apps)?
I like nice things too. I remember when you got that crappy button box as i got a crappy tk wind sim from srs at the same time. i am very wary now and would prefer to pay twice the amount for quality products with good service.
Damn... I tried a few days to withstand to not buy it because I dont NEED it but I've lost the fight. Thanks for blasting a big hole into my wallet Dave 😅 I did let them know at my order where I was coming from. I think you're missing the selling point of this unit. I'm pretty sure the streamdeck doesn't have simhub integration or rotaries/funky switches. I've got a stream deck and mine doesn't 😁
@@davecamyt You may be right, it certainly doesn't have rotaries and I agree it is a lovely box. But stickers feel a little old skool to me. (doesn't mean I don't want one though). Keep up the great work - love your channel.

@@Simlife101 well they are both buttons in a box but ones designed for bloggers and the other is a replica of a cosworth switch panel. I own both the build quality of the PSE is way higher. Yes I don't see why not although you would have to have your wheelbase mount a little lower maybe? I mount mine in the closest slot to me on the outside.

I think the Elgato XL for £185 is possibly a better deal as it gives you more options for the buttons and you don't need to add stickers but this does look good with the flashing
It’s a good option, however I have owned the small stream deck and quality wise, don’t think it was super well made etc and I do think the biggest selling feature of this is the integration with the sim, flags and animations(buttons lighting up in reaction to a different button press)

Honestly looking for something similar and I must say the build quality on this thing looks perfect but not sure if that's worth the extra cash. EDIT: Assuming stream deck also has simhub integration with the flags etc?
Woah, woah, woah there Dave! Don't get too presumptuous that I am a sim racer! I am but a neophyte, a baby, a n00b, and absolute trash when it comes to sim racing. But if this made me better at racecraft.. well then. ;D
pretty sure it was simply to do with spending 500 pounds on a button box that shouldn't cost more than a third of that (and with that they would still make a good profit).
