New sub! Thank you so much. Ive been researching aluminium rigs forever and I finally feel confident on picking one. I Also wont cheap out on the seat, comfort is important! Thank you!
Awesome video thankyou! My rig turns up In two weeks so this is so helpful, I’m so torn as to what distance to have the screen, right on top of the wheel shaft or behind the base.
Glad you found it useful! It’s probably not as big a deal as you think. I had my screens above the wheelbase shaft for 2yrs and enjoyed the closeness of the screen. When I needed to push it back behind the wheelbase with my Simucube, I was concerned I’d really feel the difference. In all honesty, once I adjusted the FoV, it probably took 10-15mins to feel normal again. Go with what feels right and you can always adjust later. Enjoy the build!
Thankyou for the reply, I’ve gone with Simucube as well. I’ll see how much space I have between the wheel and the base, thankfully that looks like the last thing you positioned. Haha I really don’t think I’m going to enjoy the build 😂, but I’ll enjoy it once it’s done. Your cable management section of the video was really cool, I’m gonna enjoy that part…… I think.
@@granta27 Yeah cable management is weirdly satisfying IMO, especially when you uncover some of the tricks around power cable routing and wireless dongles
H, great tutorial as always. I’m upgrading a 34” ultra-wide to triple 32s. What way would you recommend connecting to the PC. Should all screens by on a display port?
What’s your GPU? My 4090 has 3xDP and 1xHDMI so I put the triples through the DP ports for consistency, I don’t think it’d matter if 1 was connected to the HDMI but I’ve never tried it
My understanding is VRR should work fine on current specs of DP and HDMI, in the past I think there was sometimes issues getting VRR working on earlier versions of the HDMI standard
Samsung G5 Odyssey 32in 144hz. Kinda wish I’d bought the equivalent spec G-Sync monitors rather than freesync as I run an nvidia GPU but they’ve worked well
What are you using as a shelf under your pedal tray to hold the Bass Shaker amp? Is that an old pedal tray that's flipped upside down? I was just trying to figure out the best way to do that exact solution. Thanks!
That is a great spot! It's the original pedal tray from the sim-lab GT1 EVO cockpit which I swapped out for the one from the P1X when I upgraded to heusinkveld ultimates. Seemed liked a good way to keep it in use. Should've just gone with a P1X originally but you live and learn!
This is a very informative and clear great video, I needed this 2 years ago😅. I hope people new to sim racing find your video in time.
Glad it was helpful! I hope so too :-)
I just got my prime lite today and this popped up as soon as I open TH-cam 🙌🙌🤣
Perfect timing! Enjoy the build
The message on the wall ❤
I know, kids have their moments :-)
Brilliantly explained. Going to readjust my rig. I could listen to you all day long. Hopefully we will see more :)
Glad you found it helpful and enjoyable! There will be more to come :-)
Today my rig will arrive, you're video is the way .. thanks brother
Awesome, enjoy the setup! I love building it all up, such a feeling of accomplishment once it’s done!
A lot of good info here, thanks for putting this out.
Thanks for taking the time to check it out!
Great video for someone setting up a rig.
Happy to hear it was helpful!
Good video, check out the Getail design shaft extension to get the monitor in front of the base
Thanks for the tip! I’ll take a look

great vid, thanks mate
Cheers! Glad you found it helpful.
Thanks for the informative video! Looks like my Rig Metal monitor stand.
Did you get yours from sim-lab? All of my frame pieces are from that company, found them to be great to buy from

@@S1Races it’s a 3080 and have checked there, it has 3x DPs and 1x HDMI, so straightforward then. Newbie to triples, probably daft question. Thanks.
Very helpful thank you.

What front mount is that for your base?
clean setup! what monitors are you using?

Great video.
Are you a audiophile?
No, I don't think I'd class myself in that category! I do enjoy good audio though so always open to learning more :-)
oh gosh i build my setup 1 week ago 😂
Don't worry, you'll be tweaking it for years to come, haha! How did it go?
we are not interested in your face, put yourself less in the center of the video. And the rest is okm
