Girl. In exactly one week I’m having gastric bypass surgery. I needed this video. You’re the only person on TH-cam I felt like I could relate to. Thank you so much for being vulnerable and saying these things. ❤
I can totally relate and I'd be surprised if most of your watchers don't also relate. My surgery is tomorrow. Thank you for your videos, they are extremely helpful!
SO MANY OF YOUR HOPES AND FEARS ARE MINE. I AM JUST STARTING THE JOURNEY AND HOPE IT STARTS SOON. I LIVE IN FRESNO CALIF. AND I FEEL PRETTY SURE ABOUT MY DR.
Your fears are reasonable and your hopes are achievable. Remember that this surgery is only a tool. Keep working on your relationship with food and focus on loving yourself no matter what. You're going to do great! I am 3 weeks post op today and I'm very happy that I made the move towards better health . I had about 200 pounds to lose. I've lost 73 prior to surgery (took me years) and another 13 since surgery so far. 14 pounds left til I hit my first 100 pounds loss. YOU CAN DO THIS!
I’m 10 days post op and I can relate to your worries/hopes and I share some of your experiences but you will be fine. Remember this is a journey and you’re not alone. Trust the process, do the work and most of all believe in yourself. Along with others, you have my support! We can do this!
I've started the process to get vsg. I don't have a date yet. I have a lot of similar fears. I think it's probably healthy and normal to have fear of a big surgery, especially for something that is so life-changing. I can't wait to see how it goes for you. I too am hoping to lose 100 lbs.
I could be wrong, but I think "foamies" happens to people having the sleeve, not RNY. I also fear the surgery wont work for me at all and that if it does, that I will also gain it all back - like I always have. ugh Did you tell us how tall you are?
I think it made my skin look healthier but didn’t do much for the sagging/looseness. But I did give up on it a few months ago - maybe I should give it another go…

One of my biggest hopes is to NOT be a “prisoner of food.” You really nailed that.

We've got this! :)

I don't think I have mentioned how tall I am. I'm 5' 0" - a shortie! lol
Do you think the dry brushing helped?
I think it made my skin look healthier but didn’t do much for the sagging/looseness. But I did give up on it a few months ago - maybe I should give it another go…
