I loved this! I have my surgery next month. One of the things I’m most excited about is being able to walk through a restaurant to my table without having to be strategic about what chairs I can scoot through without threatening someone’s head with my backside. 🤦♀️🍑 That will be a victory for me!!
Thank you so much for your videos. I'm even before the beginning of this sort of weight loss journey. In two weeks, I'll have an appointment with my doctor to discuss all of the options, the pros, and the cons of weight loss surgery. But I'm a little bit on the older side to be doing this. I just want to spend the next 20 or 25 years feeling good and being healthy. The thing that really hit home for me in this video was when you mentioned confidence. I realized I don't have it.
Love how you are so real. You have such a bubbly personality. A lot that you said reminds me of myself as I’m sure it does for pretty much all of us. I fear stairs, walking great distance, standing or sitting is it going to break on me. I have had my fair share of embarrassing moments. I haven’t had my surgery yet but I am looking forward to it. I have a 3 yr old granddaughter who I adore but Hate having to tell her I can’t sit on the floor, get in her Princess House, run, play for long time and the list goes on. Not much quality of life when you are always having to say sorry but I can’t. Wish I could but hurting too much with my Fibromyalgia and Rheumatoid arthritis which has been so hard to deal with with the excess weight brought on my limitations. I stopped dating for a while because of my weight and the men who just don’t care you have feelings and that you are a human being. I want my Life back. I want a different, Life from this pain, hating what I see in the mirror, and not taking pictures with my growing Granddaughter. I look forward to surgery and hopefully get through it as well as you did with such a positive attitude. Keep up the great work. You look Amazing!
I am 29 and I had surgery a few days ago, and I've been struggling mentally. I'm still at my heavy weight but seeing this video put a smile on my face, and I have some things to look forward to now! You seem like a genuinely nice person and I hope you keep the videos coming 😊they are super motivating, and I wish you lots of success with your continued journey!
I wish you lots of luck! It gets better - the first few weeks are rough! Know that you will likely stall at week three - but the weight loss will come again.
You are an inspiration to me. I love how you deliver your message in your videos, very really and honest. I had VSG Sept 12, 2023 and I am finding its the non-scale victories that hit home the most. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for posting all your videos!!!! I'm 34 years old, 286lbs and 5'9, and I'm scheduled for RYN surgery in about 3 weeks. I love watching all of your videos, super inspirational. I'm terrified of having the surgery, but I'm so excited for all the things you have shown me that come afterwards. Thank you again so much!
I feel you on all those things. I’m almost 3 weeks post op VSG and I now starting to build up my walking endurance. You are an inspiration and I love your candor and ability to share very vulnerable things with such a cute and perky attitude. Love it💗💗💗
struggled with my weight for years, and Nicole's journey resonates deeply. Hearing about her positive changes post-gastric bypass surgery is inspiring. It's remarkable how everyday activities become more manageable, like tying shoes or crossing legs effortlessly. As someone who has faced similar challenges, I can relate to the joy in those seemingly simple moments. Nicole's openness about her experiences, from confidently sharing her weight to embracing activities like hiking, reflects a newfound confidence. It's a reminder that the journey to better health is unique for everyone, and each small victory matters. The aspect of health she highlights is a testament to the transformative power of such journeys.
😊 I'm not trying to detract from your win. Just FYI I'm shorter like you, smaller, and pretty fit. And I still have trouble getting in to lifted trucks. Your torso and leg length are also factors that come into account.
Your videos have been so inspiring to me! Keep them coming😊I have initial consult on Mar 14. I am very concerned about my age and current health issues. Being 54 is a scary thought but staying 260lbs and being 5'4 "isn't a good prognosis either.
Loved this video! I'm 2 months post op and have hit some of the same milestones but looking forward to hitting many that you mentioned. Will have to find a lifted truck though. Lol
Great stuff! I love how you ended it with that message about confidence. That's one of the major things I'd like to gain with my upcoming duodenal switch surgery. Thanks for showing it's possible!
@@nicoleislosingit Thank you, Nicole! Years ago, I wrote a weight-loss column. Bet you'll never guess what it was called. Give up? Drum roll .... "NicoleisLosingIt." Kidding! It was just "Losing It!" Because I was such a yo-yo dieter, I used to jokingly call it job security because I could keep writing about my weight-loss efforts forever. I really enjoy your videos! And congrats on being able to get into a lifted truck like a champ! Oh, by the way. I wrote a Jazz book a few years ago. I'd be honored to give you a copy.
I am 3,5 months Postop now and I can feel the difference in my body now. And it was nice to hear you talk about those things. Mybe some don't think it's something, but they mybe never had that type of struggle themselfes. Stay safe and hope the new year start well for you ❤
Congratulations!! I'm 7 weeks post op tomorrow and exercising more !! I live in nw wisconsin and our temps are in the 20s .. You need a running board on the truck we have them
Oh, this video is great. I resonate with it all! I am almost 4 weeks post-op right now. I love when you jump up on the counter, and the dogs are all wondering what's happening! Lol! And as for the online dating thing....I met my husband of 17 years online! Don't give up - give it lots of time! ❤
I am still Pre-op, my surgeon said Feb or March, but I have no clear date yet. I'm about the same height as you 5'3" short and starting out was about the same weight as you also 100 pounds ago. I've lost 30 pounds with the pre-diet so far and I've noticed big differences already like I can reach better to shave my legs etc. I had a similar experience when I was dating and my BF at the time was taking me to a gown/black tie event, I was so excited, and then he showed up in his brother's jacked-up jeep. Then he clasped his hands together for me to step up and I was afraid I'd hurt him, I tried crawling up in it, I think I wriggled myself into the floorboard first and I had a dress on and it was not very pretty but I did get up in there, The whole time I was there though I was thinking about how was I going to get back into that jeep elegantly because I'm not at home away from prying eyes now. That's about all I thought of the whole time. I'm looking forward to the new changes you described. Thanks for continuing to post your journey.
30 pounds is amazing - congratulations! Oh, that story hits so close to home - strangely comforting that I'm not the only one. :) Thank you for sharing - you are a great writer!
I hope one day i can do that too 😂 i ll get rny surgery in feb or march. They ll tell me the final date in 2 weeks. Your Videos are so interesting and funny. Thank you ❤
It's so normal to be scared - it took me about 4 years from when I had my very first consultation to when I felt ready to go back to further pursue having surgery. There are definitely some scary complications that are possible with the surgery, but there are also complications related to obesity. Do your research, talk to your doctors and don't let anyone pressure you - make sure you do what you feel is right for YOU. :)
Thank you for the encouragement. I have to do something. 5'4", 280lbs. Recent Type II diagnosis. Been on Metformin and Ozempic since August, no weight loss from that. I haven't been below 200lbs since 1999.
When ever I go to a restaurant, I always have to ask for a table as I couldn't fit in most booths. I hate it when the hostess would take me to table cause she knew I wouldn't fit without asking, I looking forward to the day when I can fit.

I'm so glad you are doing so well post-op!
I am sure it was a very vulnerable video to make, thank you for sharing!
You are so welcome!
You always make me laugh! My journey starts Jan 19! I'm 5'3" and 204 on a good day.
I'm so excited for you - you've got this!

Working up to having surgery, your videos are a godsend!

You've got this - so excited to have you on this journey with me!
I'm approved for gastric bypass but am so scared of the complications that I haven't followed up with the doctor.

You seem so sincere and an inspiration. My surgery is in two weeks. Can we be friends? I’d love it if you would be a mentor to me
Definitely!

I’m scheduled for my surgery in March. You are such an inspiration.
You've got this!
How much did you lose
I am down 108 pounds as of today.
