Joshua manipulating that pile of 1911's is maybe my favorite part of any game, ever. Lots of detail and great work from the writers and animators. It's refreshing to watch.

Hey Ox, your enunciation is usually impeccable, but being a gun enthusiast I have to correct one thing. Say it with me. M nineteen-eleven. This has been a fantastic series and I've enjoyed it thoroughly.
On the Survivalist's Rifle, probably it was battle damage and Mr. Clark was so used to the gun he didn't want to swap it out. This is not unusual. Soldiers often have lucky talismans. Audie Murphy (most highly decorated service man from the US in WWII and later a movie star) had a "lucky" M-1 carbine he carried that had been picked up by a fellow soldier who was killed by a mortar (I think) round and cracked the stock while he was holding it. When Murphy got back to his unit he so loved that carbine that he wrapped the wrist (where it was cracked) in wire and used it for the rest of his hitch. So, if it got damaged (say deflecting a stray Chinese round) it would be totally in character for him to keep it that way. I guess it has something to do with the old "there are no atheists in foxholes" joke. You take any edge (real or imagined) you can get to stay alive.

the submachine gun is the iconic "tommy gun" or more speficly the military version used in WWII. its heavy weight is accurate as it's extremely heavy compared to other submachine gun's. the reason why you find it with the 20 round stick mag is because that's its military standard mod, the drum made rattling sounds when moving, this may be partly responsible for the "storm drum" nickname as it would (from my assumptions) sound like rumbling thunder.

Lora Elstad: I don't have the money or computer to play it sadly. I have the base game on my 360, but it can't connect to the internet since a storm knocked out the cords. I did play through all of the DLC in Fallout 3 at a friend's house, but he doesn't have the money for the DLC for New Vegas. And, I actually haven't completed the main story of New Vegas. Could never decide on an ending.
Detective, That's rude. Not everyone has the money to buy what they want. Please at least try and be nice, or just stop commenting on posts. Edit: You do need internet to buy the DLC anymore, because finding the disks with the DLC is near impossible around me.
Lora Elstad: Thanks for being nice. It happens. I just hope they can learn to at least try to be nice. I'll probably play it at some point. The whole not being able to continue after beating the game is one reason I never finished it. Thanks for the thought~
The M-1911 (pronounced nineteen-eleven) is a John Moses Browning design. Mr. Browning created the prototype and patented his .45 automatic in 1905. He then sold the rights to Colt who mass produced it for the US military. The military adopted the Colt .45 automatic and it's ammo .45 Colt ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) in 1911, hence the nomenclature M-1911. It's one of the most popular pistol designs of all time and my personal favorite. John Browning developed and manufactured many various weapon designs including the first pump action shotgun. Some under the Browning name like the auto pistol Browning 9mm High Power, others he sold to Colt, Winchester and later to the FN arms company (Fabrique Nationale) of Belgium. Colt may have won the west but did it with the aid of several Browning designs.
I just want to thank you ox. You're videos have helped me though difficult times just by always bringing well made videos with your own personal insight. Whilst I don't always agree with your choices and morals you do help me see things from a different point of view or to reevaluate my own. Seeing your notification always makes me smile. Keep up the good work.
Hey man, i just wanna say i love your fallout series. Going in-depth into the lore and all that, and cannot wait until you cover OWB and Lonesome Road ^^
As always thanks for doing these videos Ox. It's been years since I played FONV and I missed bits of it. You show me what I missed and give me better insight into what I did. Great video, always enjoy them.
It's level based. If you go in their at low levels you're unlikely to even find a trail carbine. At higher levels they'll be packing 12.7 mm smgs, brush guns and anti materiel rifles. You'll always find the Tommy guns on some of them regardless though.
Love that they mentioned in alluding to John Browning with the .45 pistol as this is one of many successful and iconic designs. There is also an interesting parallel to a real life .50 caliber AR-15 rifle, it is called the .50 Beowulf. It is not the same .50 as the browning heavy machine gun round like the M2 and the Barret uses, but it is a powerful but loud round that was made by Alexander Arms for the AR-15. An example of this appears in the Ubisoft game Tom Clancy’s Rainbow six siege for one of the operators.
Oxhorn i really love your videos and your personality, you encourage a good wholesome community and the comments really show it, most youtubes i cannot read their comment sections for fear of being angered or disgusted so thank you for sharing your awesome talents!
I've actually been to the empty lot where Long Branch Arsenal was, used to live in that area. It's neat how they included that in a game based so far away. The lot has some woods, some fields and a water tower on it.
The "Stro Drum" names for th The Thompson SMG was called that because of the drum magazine. The drums were heavy and rattled when fired, giving off a drum-like impression.

Actually many of the weapons in the game are based on Brownings designs. The lever shotgun is a Winchester (Browning) 1897, cowboy rifle is a Winchester 1892, brush gun is also a Winchester (not 100% the model). 9mm pistol is a Browning High Power. Probably more that I missed.
Im fairly sure that the retexture mod you use, I think its had lore friendly in the name, was what changed Salt Apon Wound's helmet. It also makes the eye slits in the Desert Ranger Armour glow green.
Detective John Kimble well the Tesla armour is pretty useful, in new vegas( along with 1-3) power armour is just another piece of armour which is what I prefer. I didn't like the whole fusion core and power armour thing in fallout 4
Hey, Ox, the Gannon Family Tesla Armor is classified as a medium armor and has a DT of 28 edit: Misread chart, it has a DT of 26. Thanks Big Boy for the correction! End Edit. Making the Gannon Tesla Armor the holder of that title, not the elite riot gear/desert ranger armor.
20:26 there are two markings on the left horn og Salt-Upon-Wounds Helmet one is Odal which the Nazis used as a corrupted version of the Othala Rune, difference being Odal has the "feet" than the standard marking of Othala ᛟ and the other is the rune Sigel ᛋ, there is also a third before the Odal which looks like the Eihwaz rune ᛇ but turned about 90 degrees anti-clockwise. - - - - (This is on the modded version though, not the unmodded one)
Your comments about John Browning as so true and even today I am so amazed at what a genius weapons designer John Browning was. His designs were so good that they are still in use today by the U.S. Military. The most prolific weapon that is still in use is the Browning M2 Heavy Machine Gun. Just a quick note about the Survivalist Rifle though which the game makers got wrong, it states that it is 12.7mm and that is not a possible caliber for that type of rifle. The 12.7mm is about the same caliber as the .50 caliber round (1/2 inch in diameter) that is used in the M2 Heavy MG and the Barrett .50 Cal Sniper Rifle. Do love your videos.
You missed something about "A light shining in the darkness". It's not particularly great in most builds, but it "shines" in crit builds. The 2x crit chance and 144 crit damage make it one of the best crit guns in the entire game.
Joshua Graham's 1911 .45 is similar to the Commander 1911. Essentially a more compact version than 4-5" barrel 1911. The Commander can be a 3" barrel. 1911 is pronounced like Nineteen Eleven. The caliber is forty five Automatic Colt Pistol (.45ACP) John Moses Browning made many designs. Benny's pistol Maria is the Browning Hi Power. Browning died before finishing this design in 9mm. Another man finished his design . One of the first pistols to use a 13rd magazine. It's model number is the P-35. 12.7mm is similar to .50 Beowolf caliber for the AR.
I've been following your stuff for a while, but I'm glad to have seen this series in particular. I'm sure it's largely because I'm just profoundly thick, but I really didn't get that much out of it. I had found Joshua to be a butcher and Daniel to be someone who clouded their long-term planning by outsourcing his thinking to his deity and was leading the Sorrows to a slaughter. Then again, I missed out on a ton of story in the DLC, which really hurt the context for everything. Hell, I never even found the Survivalist's anything.
The bent iron sight attached to Randal Clarks gun just shows how much complexity and dedication Fallout has had.

Waterproof Goose No i think She's Embrace and similar weapons look derpy
I can imagine :P
I really enjoy these dlc series so far. Keep up the good work Oxhorn!
Your nomenclature for Browning's guns is off. The m variants are years and are said as much. Just letting you know!
I love when he does a series on a DLC. Can't wait for more from New Vegas. I sadly never got the chance to play any of it's DLCs.
Thanks for the thought~
www.amazon.com/Fallout-New-Vegas-Ultimate-Xbox-360/dp/B0065NP6NC. You can thank me latter.
Joshua, sorry. I can't buy anything online. My card never works for some reason. Thanks though.
Will there be a Primm video coming soon? I've been really looking forward to hearing about all the outcomes and information :)
Don't forget about the unique revolver Lucky, a broken but repairable EDE, and the quest for the missing 9mm submachine gun.
Not much else though🤔
I just want to thank you ox. You're videos have helped me though difficult times just by always bringing well made videos with your own personal insight. Whilst I don't always agree with your choices and morals you do help me see things from a different point of view or to reevaluate my own. Seeing your notification always makes me smile. Keep up the good work.
The vanilla salt upon wounds helmet looks like a modified skull dozer helmet
The desert ranger armor is so badass, my most favorite armor in, probably all of fallout new vegas
I love this series, glad to see your wonderful work. I can't wait to see it all
Man I love that music and the beginning, it's so chilling but beautiful
Why is everyone saying A light shining in darkness wrong? :D
I realized there's no IN in the name
FUCKING HELL ITS A LIGHT SHINING IN DARKNESS, NOT A LIGHT IN SHINING DARKNESS
Hey man, i just wanna say i love your fallout series. Going in-depth into the lore and all that, and cannot wait until you cover OWB and Lonesome Road ^^
Fun fact about Joshua's armor, it's DT is actually lower than Joshua's own DT. I take it to mean most of his DT score comes from him.
Lol He read the effects all wrong at 26:25 for the Wasteland Tequila
As always thanks for doing these videos Ox. It's been years since I played FONV and I missed bits of it. You show me what I missed and give me better insight into what I did. Great video, always enjoy them.
The Storm Drummers use a 12.7mm Sub machine gun, not the .45 Auto Sub. Even though the .45 auto fits the description more.
Screwsy You better, lol.
Detective John Kimble its based after the P90
A fuckin .50 smg?
I thought they were called white legs and they call their gun storm drums
Abigail Rose Cottman Damn good comments I agree
I've actually been to the empty lot where Long Branch Arsenal was, used to live in that area. It's neat how they included that in a game based so far away. The lot has some woods, some fields and a water tower on it.
Today's my birthday love your videos ox
Happy Birthday dude
Fallout Gamer happy birthday
PlanetCheat it's the 2nd of September today?
PlanetCheat wow, does this mean I'm technically speaking from the future?
Thanks everyone
The "Stro Drum" names for th The Thompson SMG was called that because of the drum magazine. The drums were heavy and rattled when fired, giving off a drum-like impression.
Oxhorn thank you for making videos
This dlc was generally beautiful, both it’s environmental surroundings and loot
(darn I'm late)
===Radio NCR===
*Static *
Behold, it is I, the toaster!
*Mwahahahahaha*
Now puny NCR, I have come to announce my imminent takeover!
*Mwahahahahahaha*
My army shall burn the world, with the death Ray of...Death!
March upon the world my toaster army!
Courier: you mean those 2 toasters you asked me to install batteries on? How did you even draw faces on them?
Silence! Destroy him!!
(One of the toasters slowly heats up)
Courier: boop
Damn you, WE SHALL MEET AGAIN!!!!!
TIE Fighter nice job dude!
I wish you could've put the toaster holotape into a securatron
Wait, so Joshua Graham is a descendent of John Browning? LET'S FUCKING GOOOOO
How does a 50 cal. fit inside an AR-15
Liberty Prime there are a few 50 calibre AR platform rifles
Augustus Mussolini It was based off of the .50 caliber Beowulf AR-15 conversion
Or, to be more comical; very carefully
Probably a .50 beuwolf
just needed a quadstack mag to fit the bullets.
robert20351 exactly or if we use 50 action express for a pistol round which definitely should fit in
Actually many of the weapons in the game are based on Brownings designs. The lever shotgun is a Winchester (Browning) 1897, cowboy rifle is a Winchester 1892, brush gun is also a Winchester (not 100% the model). 9mm pistol is a Browning High Power. Probably more that I missed.
God, stories about Canada gives me the chills.
Gavin Luhezz Me too.
Im fairly sure that the retexture mod you use, I think its had lore friendly in the name, was what changed Salt Apon Wound's helmet. It also makes the eye slits in the Desert Ranger Armour glow green.
You said that the desert ranger armour had the highest DT in the game however there is the Tesla armour that has a DT of 28.
Detective John Kimble well the Tesla armour is pretty useful, in new vegas( along with 1-3) power armour is just another piece of armour which is what I prefer. I didn't like the whole fusion core and power armour thing in fallout 4
I said it has the highest DT of any MEDIUM armor in the game.
Oxhorn Apologies, I did not notice you saying medium armour.
KaBar41 I think the Gannon family Tesla armour has 26DT instead of the regular Tesla armour which had 28 to balance the heavey-medium change
Make me wonder why the New Canaanites don't use the Browning auto-5 or the BAR.Browning made those guns too.
its kinda cool my father had a pistol almost just like Joshua Graham's
Zak Kerr wow it's not as if the 1911 is an extremely common pistol or anything
I love A Light Shining In Darkness. I use it throughout my entire playthrough. I always play Honest Hearts first just to get the gun.
OX PLS NOTICE IM A BIG FAN dude I love your lore series thank u so much for good vids 😆
Salt-Upon-Wounds' helmet retexture is from Legion Will Ryse.
I play fallout and got a follower named oxhorn
Modz
20:26 there are two markings on the left horn og Salt-Upon-Wounds Helmet one is Odal which the Nazis used as a corrupted version of the Othala Rune, difference being Odal has the "feet" than the standard marking of Othala ᛟ and the other is the rune Sigel ᛋ, there is also a third before the Odal which looks like the Eihwaz rune ᛇ but turned about 90 degrees anti-clockwise. - - - - (This is on the modded version though, not the unmodded one)
I like the moded helmet better
Do love your videos.
great work oxhorn. can't wait for the last two dlc's. mother ship zada dlc an point look out is going to be awesome.
You missed something about "A light shining in the darkness". It's not particularly great in most builds, but it "shines" in crit builds. The 2x crit chance and 144 crit damage make it one of the best crit guns in the entire game.
im crying tears of happiness for utah us famous
yeah dude it was so cool to hear what happened to my home in the fallout universe.
Awesome series. I knew I would want to binge watch it, so I waited until you had most of them done. Thank you!
Oxhorn can speak greek? Thats definitely not something I expected but a nice surprise though
It was a surprise seeing greek in fallout and you did better than what I expected with the pronunciation
6:05 what is happening on the left?
Joshua Graham's 1911 .45 is similar to the Commander 1911. Essentially a more compact version than 4-5" barrel 1911. The Commander can be a 3" barrel.
1911 is pronounced like Nineteen Eleven. The caliber is forty five Automatic Colt Pistol (.45ACP)
John Moses Browning made many designs.
Great. Now do the New Vegas Super Mutants and Lily please
