I remember I went into a cosmetics store with my wife and the sales lady there kept giving her so many products to test and even gave free samples without once asking us to buy anything... this experienced left me wanting to buy something. My wife was contemplating not buying anything and I was like, I'm not leaving this store without buying anything. Alex's hack of 'give, give, give, give, give, get, give ,give' is definitely really powerful.

@@miguetranwisdom My understanding is that you keep on giving without wanting or asking for anything in return... The person receiving from you would then feel really compelled to give you something back in return, and quite likely buy your offer without you having to ask at all. Does that make sense?

No half measures - either sell or don't sell. If you're going to ask, make it know that you're asking. Ask hard.
Also, even better is the power of goodwill - if you give, and keep giving, and hold on the "ask", you will get.

This reminds me off the time I bombed so hard at an industry conference. It was for my new start up. We had only just developed the technology and I was asked to speak In front of 250 people. Stumbled through how it works and how it helped them but my delivery was awful. No confidence, not enough relatable human story. What’s pained me so bad is that I’m usually a confident public speaker and I trained as a lawyer! People were coming up to me afterwards and trying to encourage me as I must have looked so broken. One if the most embarrassing humiliating experiences of my life! Feel you Alex!

@@miguetranwisdom Goodwill is a phenomenal long-term strategy. Podcasts, TH-cam videos, IG posts, etc. That's why you see people like Lewis Howes, Alex Homozi, Jim Kwik, Jason Capital, Roland Frasier, Dan Sullivan, Russell Brunson, all giving away tons of amazing content away for free.
In terms of relationships, I don't like to ask for anything early from people who I want to build long-term relationships with unless the ask is of massive value to the other person.
You do need to provide exceptional value for what you charge. Goodwill is still built in your product because if you want to have an exceptional business, you will GIVE 10x more value in the product than what they paid for.
