    Good handling. Especially of the last collapse the pilot released the bar just when the collapse started.

    the last on on full speed - I hope you know why there are handles on the B risers 🙂

      So you can hold on for your dear life? 🤔 I handled it with brakes. It didn't cascade. It didn't change flight direction. It didn't cravat. I am happy. Can I be quicker and more sensitive, so I don't have to release Bs? I certainly strive in that direction. Meanwhile, I take it as a good outcome.

      @@SkyMaxOne lol you remove the reflex profile by using the brakes... so you probably even made the wing collapse by your actions

    • @SkyMaxOne

      @@JANI137 have you even watched the video? The collapse happens while I am still holding b-risers. Could I have caught it with b-risers? Probably, but since my first reaction was to release the speedbar, it didn't matter much after that. Easier to deal with the brakes. The glider didn't spin, didn't cascade, didn't change the direction. Since my goal wasn't winning the comp, a little bit of slowing down was not a big deal. I was back on the bar shortly after.
      While I appreciate superman reflexes you exhibit in your flying videos, I am ok with the outcome in mine.

      @@SkyMaxOne No offense, I see what you're saying but if you learn to active fly on speed bar you can prevent these kind of collapses.
      Sure you can "deal" with them on the brakes but why do that if you can simply not have a collapse at all ;-P?

    • @SkyMaxOne

      @@jonathansummerfield8390 none taken. If you can prevent all collapses before they happen - good for you. All I am saying, if collapse already happened, dealing with it with the brakes is easier and I don't see anything wrong with it. To me, the outcome is important here. It didn't cascade, it didn't change direction etc etc. The pilot happily continued with the flight.

    Do you have any reflections on your inputs @SkyMax?

    • @SkyMaxOne

      All things considered, they weren't too bad. The main thing, I let the wing fly. The initial event didn't cascade, flight path didn't change much. Can it be improved? Most likely. But I am happy with the outcome as it is.

    Many thanks for your video Sky Max. I also fly the Klimber 2 20 (78kg) at about 76kg. You fly at 88 kg all in the 21 (93 kg). I think if you add about 3 kg more, the glider will be more solid and less prone to collapse

    • @SkyMaxOne

      Awesome! Thank you for your perspective.
      88kg is already with some ballast 🙂 I also heard different reports of rough behavior when loading klimber to the top. In any case, it's my hike and fly wing, I just wanted to get it through different conditions so I knew what to expect. It's definitely not a competition wing. That being said, I consider the glider really well behaved. It was some really rough air and it opened without a problem, cravats, or sticky ears.

    Why!? I am a fairly new pilot and get this quite a lot when there are strong thermals, and I am only using an EN-B-

    • @SkyMaxOne

      Why it collapses? We are flying soft, ram air wings. Any abrupt change in air speed can cause a loss of pressure and, as a result, loss of wing structure. Transition into a strong thermal can easily create that speed change. That's why active piloting is important, you want to re-pressurize the wing as fast as possible, and regain the airspeed. Flying en-b requires a little bit less input, and the wing usually reopens on its own, if you let it. With high aspect ratio wings, a little bit more input is needed as the wing might not reopen on its own. Klimber is really well behaving wing in that regard

    • @haukeplambeck

      Thank you for sharing. With active flying it behaves surprisingly well. Was very impressed by the full speedbar collapse reaction. Niviuk does a good job and it seems their gliders don't cravat as easy as other 2-liners out there.
