Took Sherlock (my old Welsh D) along to this week's hunt as Moosie wasn't 100% sound. I wasn't sure what to expect but he was absolutely super! Not so keen on the jumping but he had a hoot charging about the place! Massive thanks to the Coakham team and to all the landowners!
For anyone worried about what we are hunting ~ the Coakham are a "clean boot" hunt, which means the hounds follow the natural scent of human runners who set off ahead of the pack - no other scent is used (whether animal or synthetic) and there is no killing involved - the runners just get licked at the end of each hunt.

Thanks so much for this video. Bloodhounds and the clean boot are definitely on my bucket list. I am Australian. If I had a magic wand, I would spirit my behemoth and I over for a few years of fun.

What a surprise, I live in Medway and never knew that in Kent there was a Hunt. I saw Meopham and know it well and thought this cant be, but it is true.
