    Cocktail sauce is the best! It's my go-to for chicken, but the wife was all about the fry-sauce.

    *_tater tots_* - I get why tater tots are popular in Idaho because of all the potatoes and tater tots are, well, awesome but why do Minnesotans love tater tots (hot dish) so much, Joc? I know you've spent lots of time in Minnesota.
    *_chicken fried steak fingers_* - Ha. I mentioned them (as well as cocktail sauce) in the Wyoming Eats video last week. Border states...makes sense.
    *_huckleberry ice cream_* - So, you were about to say Mark ate some every day, eh? 😀 I did the same in Rome. Gelato every single day. Yup. And pralines every single day in Belgium. And kolaczki twice a day every day in Poland. When you're on vacation, enjoy!

      Tater tots are crispy fried deliciousness, that's why! It's the satisfying crunch. Yes, he did! And we eat out weight in gelato. Some days I let the kids have 2 or 3 🤷‍♀️😆

      @Simply Jocelyn "crispy fried deliciousness..." Exactly! That answers your own question about why tater tots are so popular in Idaho! 👍

    There is a large Basque population in Idaho with a number of Basque restaurants in Boise. Should try and hit one of those when traveling through Idaho.

      Connie's in Island Park Idaho was excellent as was Trout Hunter. If you want to have a great fishing experience, book with Big Sky Anglers out of West Yellowstone. Our friend, Joe is a co-owner and dang, they take you on some great outings!! I have video on fishing with them. It was the highlight of my trip!

      This was filmed near Island Park. We have enjoyed Idaho and will likely be in your neck of the woods this summer.

    This video literally showed some of the exact same dishes as the what to eat in Montana video. Makes me think it’s not authentic.

    • @WoltersWorldEats
      @WoltersWorldEats  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope, they just share a similar food culture.

    • @dl1662

      @@WoltersWorldEats You mean, “yep, the same dish was shown due to similar food cultures”.
      The Idaho video at 25 seconds shows exactly the same video of exactly the same dish from exactly the same restaurant as the Montana video at 44 seconds. Mashed potatoes, gravy, toast and steak garnished with green onions and maybe some cheese. What restaurant was this from? A border town, lol.
