I love seeing supermarkets overseas. I guess it’s a snapshot of how similar & yet intriguingly different we are. Variations of everyday life, condensed. ❤
Ken you do make me laugh, I like your wit. Thank you both for listing the music you play, very helpful. Over the last week or so ,I have found myself repeatedly binge watching your channel and enjoying it very much.
Couldn't agree more Ken, finding that perfect park up just to sit, relax and watch the world go by, brilliant. I'm not sure about that shower idea Ken, your frighten the wildlife 🤣🤣
Hari OM Blissful, that first stopover. The peace and tranquility shone through the screen. And I had flashbacks to history lessons at Claydon Secondary Modern and learning about the technological advancement generated by war that was the longbow... a joy as ever to ride with you both! YAM xx
My favorite thing about watching your videos is seeing both of you. Love your humor, Ken, and amazed at how you make the food look so delicious. Tiramisu is my favorite dessert - YUMMY! Enjoyed seeing the beautiful scenery, professional video (of course)! Thanks so much for sharing your adventures. ❤
Y’all got me giggling with this one….from chicken donuts to outdoor showers, and more….THANK YOU for the laughs and the pleasure of sharing another bit of your journeys. Best wishes and safe, healthy travels!
Very enjoyable series of travelling through France and watching both of you with the basic everyday things in the van. Remarkable scenic park up that you found and I doubt that places like that will increase in numbers across the country.
I really appreciate your videos, taste testing seems to be Ken's favourite thing. The trick I found to stop me driving off and leaving my expensive off road grip mats is to attach chains to them and clip the other end to the vehicle (out of the way so you don't catch the chain) or as you do have your passenger watch and collect them
Just found this channel and stuff bscribbed. Always amazed how many ordinary folk can make such great programs from filming to editing to presenting. You’d are very professional and yes very relaxing.
Thanks for another lovely vlog, I'm really enjoying this French series. I have a card with CHOCKS written on it - I put it on the dash over the speedo when the chocks are in use. Very hard to forget. Keep the card with the chocks when you pack them away.
I hope you both are around making videos for many years to come. I always enjoy your humor, history lessons, and drone footage. It’s a bummer about the laws changing with regards to drones. A bit overkill in my opinion, but that’s politicians! Mary
good point on the leaving the Chalks... I've left many of my high end coats and what you would call "jumpers" behind on my end when I take them off to dine in lol
Hey team, dunno if this has already been mentioned but a nice easy way to make sure you don’t drive off the chocks or leave them behind is to put a small note or Post-it on the speedo so when you start the engine you will see it. Works for us! Lovely Vlog by the way
Even top chefs called it "CHOR ITZO " as it sounds..but the pronunciation as its sounds is "CHOR RITHO" ...Nice video as always...put TOLEDO on your to-go list...Carol loves a bit of history,,she won't be disappointed
I'm sure it was a typical English unintentional slip of the tongue, but Welsh longbowmen also contributed to the pivotal role of these solders at Crécy. Thanks for yet another lovely (and thoughtful) video from you both.
I’ve visited 2 historical battlefields, Pearl Harbor and culloden, I never want to go to another, it was chilling with an overwhelming sense of sadness, almost suffocating.
I loved hearing the history of the battlefield. Longbows vs crossbows!? That’s going waaaay back! On the west coast of the USA, anything in the 1800’s seems like ancient history. I also love the cooking parts of your videos - you always have great systems for getting it all put together.
As usual, very informative, very entertaining, just the right amount of “chillaxation” and with a dusting of comedy. We always enjoy your videos, thank you so much❤️
its nice being with both of you, it makes the day interesting 😊 always beautiful views. and yummy 😋 food it takes me away from all the stress and worry, that we have to look forward to we are going back in time. stay safe and take care 🙂 ❤
Hello 🖐 ... I love love love 😍 your wee red van, your fabulous videos, and your beautiful wife ... oh and you're not so bad yourself! 😄 Looking forward to seeing more 😀 ... Hugs Valerie ❤ 🍁👵🇨🇦
I absolutly love your channel. Its so relaxed, so much fun. I especially like the fact that you show us that travelling in a small van is no problem. It doesn't have to be a 7mtr long big camper with everything you have at home. In a year from now i will have saved enough to buy a Ford Nugget pop up camper. I will be travelling for 9 months a year in my van and 3 months with my family in the Netherlands. I look forward to going back to living in a van like i did many years ago. Perhaps we will meet on the road.
We love the Ford Nugget so its a great van to go for. There is a channel called Cali Camper Family and they are worth a watch about the Nugget. Perfect size for mobility with comfort 😁👍
Couldn't sleep so I'm watching this in bed at 1.45 am. Such a beautiful idyllic spot you got for your park up. The bear feet looked nice and along with a cup of tea would hit the right spot for me. XX ❤️💙
We have just bought a ridge monkey after watching you for a while. Very good. Great watching as always thank you for sharing. Choice of music delightful.
Yes you are indeed the most sedate van lifers I have watched on TH-cam no rushing from one place to another at break neck speed : I did a 10 days road trip with my family and never managed to breath in between hotels all though the experience was enjoyable it was a little too fast for my 70 year old body it would have been nice to stop and take in the beauty of Spain and France : I’ll stick to my touring caravan where the pace is slower next stop North Yorkshire in all its beauty 😊
After a wet disaster with a pota loo took your advice and got a bivvy loo and pee bottle. So much easier and less room needed. Got a dog so no issue bagging poo. Plus no chemical smell. Thanks
We should make the effort to visit Crecy as it is only 30 minutes away from our French house. Azincourt is only 5 or 6 minutes away. The visitor centre there is great, I couldn't imagine us making such an effort in the UK to celebrate a battle where we were so comprehensively beaten. When we first started visiting France 25 year ago the Croque Monsieur or Madame available in the bars were our go to lunch choice, but recently the Madame has pretty much disappeared and the Monsieur has always been a disappointment. Glad that you found a decent supermarket version.
The Battle of Hastings site has a museum, Abbey and the battlefield at what was a successful invasion of England that changed the course of our history. 😁👍
Pizza looked excellent. The drone situation is a worry. I hadn’t heard that. You have the food prep down to a fine art. I am like you Ken. Drink very little (Graham). Carol and the wine 😂🤣. No shower please Ken. 😂 nice little history lesson 👍🙏🧙♂️
In Sweden there is a huge cheap shopping center mostly with clothing for women (Ullared/Gekås). The women can roam around for hours doing bargain shopping. Therefore the shopping center also has a "parking spot" area for men where they can play computer games, have a beer or watch football on TV whilst waiting for their better half finish shopping. A sort of man cave.
I really enjoy watching your trips, I'm from Israel and minicampers are very rare here, I turned a Citroen Berlingo into a minicamper myself, our country is very small so my wife and I do short trips with the camper, I learned a number of things from your videos, thank you and keep up the fun trips.
Thanks for watching and hope you are having lots of fun travelling in your Berlingo. Have you seen The-Other-Windsors and their converted Citroen Berlingo, Buddy th-cam.com/channels/RUQu6a6TPY9dktx03IQbRQ.html 🙂
@@LifeistooshortCK Yes, of course I saw them, they are mature people and get along with a small camper, very impressive, by the way I find a lot in common between you and me, I also retired from the police and I also fly a drone for fun.
After working my trade show this weekend, I stopped by the grocer n picked up 10 more fresh pineapple. They are chopped n sitting in the rum marinade. I’ll leave them for 24 hours then dehydrate. I also love the French supermarkets. Glad you filmed in E Leclerc. They are so large and sell literally everything. I’d almost go to France only just for the supermarkets 😀. Nothing like that here in Holland. Once again I enjoyed the video and your cosy red van 🚗. 🙋♀️
well, i hope you do not give up on drone flights. you might shorten them... up, plan around, down, and move on. you are very good at it. spaghetti wise, more sugar... that surprised me, but you are in a different part in the world. you really do enjoy life, thanks for sharing.

I really enjoyed this vlog. It had everything in it! Travel, food, info and comedy! Thanks Carol and Ken.

It's true Ken your videos are very relaxing, so much so, I've slept through them all. Only joking. I love them. Your drone work is excellent.

They did indeed. Edward III's army totalled about 13,500, of which about half were archers; 4,500 English and 2,000 Welsh.
