I believe all Nissans with that v6 share that beautiful sound when modified it was always my favorite sounding car of that time period I agree it is beautiful
That black convertible is a 240SX early 90s late 80s. That originally came with a four-cylinder naturally aspirated truck engine around 140 hp. You can put almost any engine you want into those. A 4.1 stroker 240 Z would be pretty cool
Awesome build. Id definitely like to know more about it. As far as hp numbers, keep in mind i didnt soind like it was dynoed in the 1:1 gear ratio which is 4th which would yeild higher hp numbers. Also mustang dynos sometimes read low be as though they are load bearing dynos. Heat probably played a big factor also. Try doing a single 3 inch or maybe even a 3.5 along with a 92 mm camaro tb. Add some c85 and that should get you over 400whp
It needs more air. If you could swap the 75mm tb for a gm 90mm, you would've kept climbing past the 400whp mark. I think it would have made 370 on pump and like 410 on E.
I was considering that but from what the guys helping me with the build told me the bigger throttle body may reduce throttle response and cause electrical issues
Dude said I don’t know what that is but you drive a maxima. Bro come on. That’s a 240sx vert . They come with the ka24de motor from factory Iron block 2.4 liter that becomes monsters once boosted with quality build. Mine makes 420whp on 93 w 18lbs of boost.
Nice setup but you I can tell you have some restrictions you should look into gettin a bigger throttle and if you are not full 3inch exhaust you should do it
I feel like with better springs and cams it would run higher rpm and make over 400 whp with the added rpm range because hp is just torque multiplied by rpm so if you can hold the rpm higher with the torque steady you will make the 400
@@Strickland21samson do you know if the 7th gen max had vvl on exhaust and intake? Also can you point me in the direction of finding out the differences between the vq. Like how the Altima vq is rated at 270 but the max at about 300. I assumed probably had intake side

@@jax9074 the compression ratio is 11.5 to 1. It has JWT C9 and RZ1 cams. Those are some of the biggest on the market while retaining at least some drivability

Either way, as long as it’s reliable enough and fun to drive then the numbers don’t mean shit, I bet that thing is a handful being FWD.
The e85 numbers are way more impressive in one respect, the fact that the car was making much less torque than horse power on gas and almost matched the torque to HP numbers on e85, I have a 4 cylinder Fiat which actually makes more torque than HP this makes the motor pull super hard, torque in my opinion equals acceleration.
@@Strickland21samson I've been considering nitrous as well, but a small shot like 25 HP gets most of the time and a 50 shot for racing, I built my engine with forged everything pistons, rods and crank, wanted to be able to do whatever type of power adder I wanted, and went with 10.1 compression so it's still driveable, nos is very attractive for the cheap bang for the buck how else can you easily make 50 to 100 HP for less than a grand?
