I still had to disconnect the a c. Lines. I didnt take off all he did. Left radio, stearing and only went after a few bolts on each side but i did take out the center console. Minimize your work. Watch all the videos. Bit of a struggle but no problems.
I have an 03 and I think my heater core is bad. But man, I am not trying to go through all of this to replace it. 9-13 hours? It would probably take me 9-13 weekends 😂
Instruction on the full steering wheel and dash cluster removal would be very helpful if possible. I've gotten up to that point and am seriously struggling.
Sorry but I don’t have access to it anymore. If you can remove the bottom dash panel then you should be able to see the nuts/bolts on the metal panel then there should be 4 holding the column up.
great video. but i do have a question. do you HAVE to take the steering column off in order to take the dash off ?? or can you work around it to work on the heater core?
oh never mind i read thru the other comments and found my answer. lol. but also with the ac drier (next to the coolant reservoir) did you take that all the way out or just remove the clamp and move it over?
Don't refer to this video unless you wanna do way more work than you have to. Remove the kick panel bolts the 4 by the windshield the ones behind the shifter under the radio and the panel under the steering wheel, the whole dash will move far enough away so you can access the heater core between the windshield and dash. By all means not the easiest but way easier than removing every part of your dash and being lost on trying to put the puzzle back together
Well that half ass don’t move things out of the way for accessibility is how things get broken or installed wrong! I try to make my videos to help people make repairs themselves to save money and this was the first and probably the last heater core in a Liberty I’ll do!
so i have a question. ok so i got everything removed and so my question is. how do i remove the spokes from the old a/c evap to add them to the new a/c evap? or what do i do?
I’m currently replacing my heater core. I’m about to remove the steering column but how do I remove the black cable that attaches to the ignition? There’s a little yellow tab on the other side. It’s like it’s locked into the ignition. Really hoping I don’t have to pull the ignition switch apart to remove the steering column!
Hi I hope you can help my dash caught fire on my 04 Liberty I'm am replacing the whole thing getting ready to put in the new dash but I need help remembering where all the plug wiring goes please answer please help
One of the things I’ve learned to do is take masking tape and number the connectors the same as you disassemble them. This will help when you go to reassemble it. Also as you disassemble it take pictures of things you feel you might struggle with during assembly. This will help you to know what parts of the harness go together first and were they are positioned.
Is it really necessary to remove steering wheel and cluster? Or can u just drop it down out of the way I'm In the process of starting this weekend on this and dreading it but doesn't look to bad just hope I can leave the steering wheel and cluster on and just drop it down
If I remember correctly I removed the column just so I wouldn’t have to fight around it I wasn’t sure if I was taking the dash completely out or trying to leave it in place as much as I could the cluster I removed for the same reason I didn’t want the wiring to hold up the removal
@@briansgarage2605 thanks guess I'll find out this weekend lol already know this is gonna be fun. First dash removal for me done just about everything else but remove a dash so why not add that to list of things I've done. Really don't wanna bypass it just gonna have to do it
Now my heat and ac is mixing the door must not be closing or opening all the way any suggestions on this problem? I fear I'm gonna have to pull the dash again but if I turn the heat all the way to heat it get really hot like it's suppose to but when I turn on the ac and it is charged and working the heat is mixed in with it. Really hope I didn't break anything and don't think I did but this is really aggravating to have to pull this again. Did u have any trouble like this? I can hear it trying to move almost like a light clicking noise
This is Cheryl again thank you for answering me I took two dashes out now and I can't I can't figure out where my brake pedal goes I something is come off but I didn't lose in the brake pedal it's just what I remove the steering wheel into the dash out what my my brake pedal is just loose I've moved on TH-cam Google everywhere I cannot find any information out on this my pedal is just sloppy I don't know we're too tight it to something must have fallen off when I was removing the steering wheel in the dash can you help me hun please
So I have a question- It may be redundant and I may have to watch this video a few times to get it but I'm gonna ask anyways. I need to replace the Blend door Actuator which is right under the Dash on the passenger side. My mechanic said because of it being a likely a 4 hour job as he put and the spot being awkward as it is the cost would be $700 bucks at most and I do NOT have that money; especially since I'm gonna be needing a new Cat converter as well before inspection which is due by the end of March- again I have time but my money resources are a different story. So my question: am I REALLY gonna have to go threw all of this from removing the center console, the wheel and everything else to access that one spot?
@@briansgarage2605 yeah its was OK just kept running into problems shouldn't have took me as long as it did. Just kept running into lil problems that was pretty aggravating lol

Do you know where the blend door is located
Thanks
Why you take the steering wheel and all that off?
To allow the dash to move forward on the passenger side without damaging anything

Look under the driver’s side of the dash for connectors that got missed. Is it all windows?

Holy shit, just drive to junkyard, build new jeep would be easier. Look at other videos so you don't have to rebuild the whole interior.
