Thanks for this info, currently trying to diagnose a leaking heater core on a CRV after discovering unhealthy coolant loss and found a wet driver side floor. Removed the vent unit and cabin air filter holder beneath the glove compartment, tried to remove the heater core cover but it's proving to be a challenge; so called it a day, looking forward to tomorrow to deal with it.

@@JohnRambo-v4b yes, decided to bypass the heater, the leak is at the inlet line tube right where it connects to the heater core body, it would be useless to remove it without getting a replacement unit, I had to get a hose, connectors and clamps and you shape it in the engine side and connect the inlet and outlet hoses, no leak or overheating now, but no cabin heat but I live in temperate climate zone; so it's not an issue unless it rains heavy.

2005 Acura RSX base model here, 240k miles. Noticed my car's temp rising 3 weeks ago. It was due to low coolant, I just topped it off thinking it was that. About a week ago I was running my A/C, noticed coolant droplets coming from the front right passenger side.. only losing coolant when I run my A/C. Heater defrosts car normally.
My mechanic told me to run the heater on defrost in the morning and see if it makes it foggy or not. To get back to him with the findings.

Some stop leak products will dissolve aluminum, so make sure to read the label.

Flush your whole system. Including your heater core hoses.

In a 2006 Honda Accord, does the entire dashboard need to be disassembled to replace the liquid radiator? Or is there another way?

So I have a unique issue with my 2015 wrangler 3.6 engine spiking to 230-240 mainly under stress at speeds anywhere from 40-75 mph. It some times will randomly do it but mostly on a slight incline. Then it will drop back down sometimes to 200-216. I am not loosing any coolant and it’s holding pressure. I put a 3 row radiator, replaced the thermostat 4 times, replaced the coolant temp sensor 3 times, replaced the water pump twice, new hoses, the fan comes on when it’s suppose to, I have recently had the head gaskets. So I have flushed my heater core a few times and did use some stop leak back in 2020 but it was a small amount. Do you think this could be my over heating issue?

The only symptom I hv is no heat. Replaced waterpump and 2 thermostats . Both thermostats won't open.

Try your drain plugs leading up to it. And take off the carpet to see where it's coming from first

Had this issue with a 98 jeep grand Cherokee. They stupidly built a box between the firewall and fame to collect the ac drainage. When the box fills up it pours into the passenger side carpet. Ended up having to drill a whole in the inside plate of the car then used a shop-vac to drain the water.
