Thank you! Without this video I would never have noticed the disconnected vacuum line going through the firewall - I may have noticed the disconnected “T”-connector on the motor side, but would never have figured there’s a connecting line through the fire wall. After the core replacement and total button up - no heat other than only from the defrost! Had you not experienced the same thing - who knows what I would have done from there. Actually my vacuum was trapped behind the firewall on the cabin side, luckily I was able to just see enough of it to pull it back into the engine side. Fit like a glove on the “T” connector - all is good now. Again thank you, my daughter thinks I’m her hero - however I give you credit and tell anyone who asks. Regards, Terry - Vancouver BC, Canada.

How did you take the heater hoses off the motor?

From the inside truck where the heater hoses are....then go back inside in pull it back from the top then it will come out its should be enough room to pull it out

Before you change the heater core did you have a fog coming from the air vents?

I had the same issue it was the coolant shooting out I had to add an elbow piece to avoid the coolant from doing so until I can get enough money for a new heater core

not a very informative video , you didnt state any of the actual replacement methods , you only showed a few screw locations , then went to the hood and disconnected the AC ? i thought we were working on the heater core , its under the radio , inside the the dash by the ashtray , coinholder area , you must remove quite a few parts to get to the heater core , and you never stated the heater core hoses , i think your video is titled wrong...
