Epic LH octave jumps at 10:10 I love doing that! Gotta take a lot of practice... It's easier with black keys.
10:31 I always want to do that in the middle of a recital... Nothing worse than sweaty keys.
RIght. Wiping the keys isn't always possible but here, given that the temperature was quite high on on the stage (aprox. 30 C), it was a must.

Etude no. 1 C Major: I love this piece!!! I played it once when I could only reach an octave... very difficult. Now I can reach an eleventh and it's a lot easier. Awesome performance! I can tell why the etudes were dedicated to Liszt... LOL! Near perfect! I love it. Until now my favorite recording was Kissin. Not anymore lol.

I must say that Chopin liked to give this etude to girls with modest hands. And not because he was mean but because, as he said, the etude required not big hands but flexible ones, hence he believed that practising the etude would do good for those even with fairly small hands.

That opening octave -- OUCH! I hate doing that. Good job fixing it with the pedal change, though. Better than I could do, that's for sure. 👍
