Nice seeing you improve your skills over time! This one looks much better than your older 109s. Having said that, I'd recommend you to check out oil paints - with enough patience you can blend them muuuch better than acrylics, making for airbrush-like camo blotches on german planes. They also give you much more time to work with them, due to their slow drying time. If i were you, I'd also use the tamiya clears that you can buy in cans, both before the decals and weathering 🙂

Thanks so much mate, its crazy what a year or two of regular modeling does!
That's something I haven't looked into but sounds like a really good idea, do you have a brand you'd recommend for oil paints? Especially those pesky RLM ones!
I've used the Tamiya rattle cans before and I was a bit disappointed with how the flat one turned out especially after how easy the water based stuff from Vallejo is top use. It might've just been me but the texture was rather grainy and inconsistent, but I definitely like the gloss one tamiya does. I will definitely be doing some gloss varnishing before decals more in the future!
Take care mate and happy modelling to you!

Great build, but i would say that the airfix Bf 109 E 3 is at least as good and it is 1/3 the price.

Thanks a lot, yeah the good old Airfix E-4 kit is a favorite of mine, I haven't included it in this series since I have been focused on the later F/G model, but I could be tempted to do another one of those kits! Take care!

Another awesome video and build! Canopies are my least favorite to do. I usually save them for last! Your weathering process is really neat. I've taken notes on index cards for future reference. Do you use Tamiya pastels dry or wet them a bit? Take care and I'll see you later!
I too have pulled hair from my head 😆😆😆😆

Thanks a lot mate! Yeah they can be a real pain, especially on %80 of German bombers! Glad you like it, I’ve sort of been evolving it a little and sometimes it’s nice to try stuff that’s a bit different!
I find for the powders it’s best to wet them a tiny bit, but generally if they are dry you get softer effect that’s only on raised areas, and if you wet them a lot they become very thick and almost like a paint consistency, so it sort of depends on how thick I want the effect.
haha, thanks see you later, and thanks for watching😂😁👍🏻

Just out of interest do you use an airbrush at all?, personally I prefer an airbrush because it gives a nice uniform look 👀 and can be easily applied for larger areas, but everyone has their own opinion about airbrushing as it can look like the subject of the build has literally just come off the production line, and that is okay if that is how you want to portray your work, and you can create a “used” look very easily afterwards. If you’re happy with the results using a brush only technique then that’s all that matters, it is your model and not anyone else’s.
Keep up the good work, thumbs up as usual. 😀👍🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Thanks mate, not many people are as polite when they raise the Airbrush Vs brush painting topic😂😁. Personally I really enjoy brush painting and find it quite relaxing, and I feel with time I keep getting better more uniform results and can start to mess around trying new techniques like the mottling. But it is definitely time consuming. Its also a bit of a time, space and money challenge at the moment, I have a pretty small workbench and storage space, I haven’t got a strong stable income yet so I’m a bit concerned about having to buy the setup and then all the associated cleaning and thinners, but probably the main thing is it would take a bit of time to learn and get use to, but one day I’m sure I will definitely give it a go and it may be that I do a mix of techniques in the future😁
Thanks so much for watching mate and you very true and polite words!

@@Luca_Sprues_Model_Kits , Everyone has to be able to paint using brush work, and not everyone can master the technique, mostly detail work, I am still learning the technique. For me Airbrushing is as relaxing as brush painting.
Obviously the purchase of an airbrush is quite a large investment and I think you are being sensible by waiting until you have a stable income, and more importantly, when you feel like you want to get into airbrushing, my only advice to you, and anyone who is going to try, is not to go expensive, buy a reasonably priced airbrush and compressor, it is not worth going expensive and not getting the same amount of enjoyment from it, buy something you can afford, expensive doesn’t always mean better. Whatever you decide I wish you all the best and hope you keep up the great work you do. 😀👍🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇦🇺🇺🇦

@@robertstickler5232 Vielen Dank! :)

    I bought swastika decals, aftermarket.

I would recommend those for this one given the decal quality, even though it comes with swastikas. Happy modeling with them :)

Luftwaffe fighters bombers and other planes without swastika for me is incomplete! In my models I pay attention to this.

I known what you mean, I always leave them off mine for TH-cam, but if it makes you feel better swastikas are included in this kits rather thick decals!
