Hello my loves! I have had a bunch of people question where to find Connor's Adventures! I am going to post the link here BUT TH-cam has changed allowing links in some places, so if the link in this comment does not work I will put it in the description also! th-cam.com/play/PLcyKoQl3OiEGkoczEi6d0oer0N3Q-SIWH.html&si=bHoGxkP40ycYSWOX

      Hi Mrs Rogers
Loved the video and agreed with your opinions. My suggestion would be to create two playlists for Connor's Adventures, one with the shorts and one with the long form videos, that way viewers can find the videos they would prefer to watch

Hey, I think your plan sounds great, it would be so fun to see the build up then the full thing all together. I’m more of a long form person myself but the clips are fun too

    • @nobodyfamousX
      @nobodyfamousX 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

I definitely think you should post both. Personally I wait until the whole video comes out, but it is a good idea to post both.
As you said a lot of people watch shorts, and that's all some people watch. But when you find a short that is part of a story when you are scrolling through them I have had trouble with other creators who don't have links to the other parts of the short or a long version of the story.
So half the time I just don't get to see the whole story because I can't find the rest of it because sometimes you stumble on an older post that has already been buried on their page by more recent content.
So keeping both is not only better for your current viewers, but it also seems like the best way to pull in new ones also.
I'm not a creator so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but that's my perspective as a chronic TH-cam user.

Story 2: I think it is reasonable to have the daughter pay back the dress. The mom did the right thing by immediately paying back her stepdaughter's family and then making her biological daughter pay back. This isn't going to be done in a weekend or a month, but that is the point. She has to learn that there are consequences for actions. When she becomes an adult in less than 2 years, she will be financially, if not criminally, responsible for destruction of property.

To go with story number three: in my algebra class in college, there were two “kids” freshly out of high school who loved to act up. The professor finally got tired of it, stopped the class, then told them that this isn’t high school. She’s not required to put up with them acting up and could actually drop them from the class and make them take it next semester. Both boys straightened right up. It was beautiful!!

Then the opposite can be true. I had a Geology Professor in college (the 2000s) that also taught middle school (she had a masters degree and they needed her to teach one night class a week as an adjunct). We were all between our sophomore and senior years (age 19 up…one was over 40) plus and we had to ask to go to the restroom/leave, she would ‘discipline us’ for “breaking rules” (that were petty and we had in no other class…it was insane). She tried to make us ‘stay after class for 30 minutes’ as a “detention.” We weren’t allowed to question her grading and so forth and so on (I can’t imagine how hard she was in her 8th graders). After the first week more than a dozen of us went to the Dean and they had to tell her to chill…and that she couldn’t require us to get permission to go to the bathroom…we were adults and free to leave at any time, she could make us “sit in the hall” (she did it once after a girl politely challenged her about a question on a test we were going over ). After, she was an absolute jerk to us for the rest of the semester. The assignments and projects were juvenile (make a pamphlet on how to ‘survive a natural disaster’ etc. instead of, memorize the ice ages and epochs, and so forth…what we expected to learn and others in other sections learned. Not one person (in an honors class) got an A. We had fun on those Professor reviews. She was never invited back to teach.

Exactly, this is how it should be. It’s college. Even if their high school “coddled” them, it doesn’t matter. College is not a time to fuck around, they can either change the behavior and take it seriously or fail and lose thousands of dollars and learn what real life is like. Either way I think the teacher handled it great.

I don't understand that sentiment. The only one who was being disruptive to class was the PROFESSOR for taking time out of the class to argue with the students. Being on your phone during class or walking in late is not disruptive to the other kids, and if you are so sensitive that it does distract you, that's your own issue. You're right - those students are adults and it is none of the professor's business what time they come in. Their grade is their grade, but you can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't chastise the students for being late like in K-12 but not coddle them like the adults they are.

And the thing that didn't really get pointed out is that her MOH didn't even try. She could have done some fun stuff and just said "Oh yeah, costs were running high. It's 2023 and inflation hit this hard, blah, blah, blah." and pocketed half. Nope, she just went as cheap as she possibly could go so she pocketed the most she could. I like the new skits and I like the shorts and then a full video after they are done. For some reason I am only seeing the skits after you are a few days into that week. Honestly, keep doing content that makes you happy and you find interest in producing. Only spend your time making what makes you happy. We are here because we like you and will watch whatever you produce. ❤

My kids are small, so story #2 is a long way off for us, but i feel that just making her pay back the dress is a light consequence. $3k is a lot of money and could get her in a lot of legal trouble in another circumstance if mom hadn't bailed her out. I think i would make them pay it back with interest and i wouldnt let her go to the party

Story 2: I think the punishment was not harsh enough. While I'm not a parent and nor close to that age either, she should definitely do something for Maria. Paying back the dress is one thing but also you could make Bethany do Marias chores for that month for example for the inconvenience.

Vlog at the end of the week. I can never find the rest of the story when I see the reel on FB and it drives me crazy. I miss your history lessons. I struggled with history in high school so I struggled with it. My husband and son love it so having your lessons truly helped.

Story 3: To look at the flip side of what Rebecca was saying, I think that pulling them aside for a one on one talk like that could very easily be seen as further coddling them. I don't think the answer is more coddling of students, I think the answer is that high school needs to be teaching students how to take accountability and responsibility before they are sent out into the "real" world. If the students are not invested in their classes by college, they shouldn't be there, and they should be making room for the kids that do care and do want to learn.

I agree. I don’t have kids, but I am a daughter and a sister. If my siblings or I had done something like that, not only would we have had to pay back our parents, we would’ve been on complete lock down. No phones, no tablets, computer only for homework (heavily monitored), no outings with friends, no books, no toys, no games, nothing. The only way I would’ve been allowed to leave the house would’ve been for school, church, work, and doctors appointments.
My cousins and many of my friends are of Mexican descent, and that story almost brought me to tears. The thought of dishonoring someone else’s cultural right of passage in such a horrible, spiteful way is absolutely disgusting to me. That girl needs some help, that’s for sure.

Edit to answer question: I tend to like to watch longer form stuff even if it's a compilation of short clips. I just think it's easier for me to put it on and get some giggles while I'm driving or doing housework. That's generally when I do TH-cam things. TH-cam is honestly my biggest distresser and having more at once in a concentrated area tends to be a lot easier and less frustrating than having to watch a bunch of individual clips.

Store #1 The op not wanting to do the pumpkin patch twice in one weekend is probably because they have a kid under 1. The kid would probably be very cranky and you have to pack a TON of stuff and lug it around. With the SIL, based on the activities they are doing, the kids are older. Not sure how old but older. So it might be easier to have them do multiple things in a weekend.🤷‍♀️
