I'm so glad I was exposed to songs like this. Never been a fan of straight rock, but I love the mix of rock and soul.
This song is so good. One of the best. 54, Jax, Fl. Thx for playing it. Peg, Lowdown, Fooled Around and Fell in Love. Lastly, Spinners - Rubberband Man and The Manhattans - Shinning Star.Just great songs. Again, thx for playing this song ❤
I'm kind of similar; I'm a 63 year old white man, also from the Deep South,Sw Georgia, I was raised in a mostly black housing project. When "Three Times a Lady" came out the rock stations cut the last part off, so you missed the beautiful rising, falling crescendos, but the black people listened to WJIZ, a soul station in Albany, Georgia, JIZ played the whole song uncut, then I fell in love with the O'Jays "So Full of Love" album, I believe in 1977, and fell in love with "CRIED TOGETHER" and "BRANDY" from that album, the rock stations only played "Used Ta Be My Girl", "Cried Together" I think was far more beautiful

This song by Player reminds me of another soft-rock staple of the time by Ambrosia, called "How Much I Feel". You seem to really like songs that tell stories, so...I think you'll like this one to.
