    Thanks Simon, a really good interview with Tim. I have been really impressed with their throttle controllers since they were released a few years back. I'm still running the original version on my rig & running the Livetrack Nomad GPS in the van. Keep up the good work. 🤠

    Valid point regards weight, my dmax pretty heavy and sluggish standard. Whole different car to drive with the evc. Daily drive on auto, nailed it...

      It's funny how the opinions vary once people actually try one out. Thank you for the feedback.

    I got a Toyota 4Runner last year, but have been happy with the manufacturer’s throttle response. However, a few vehicles in the area have been stolen from peoples driveways in the last couple of months, with two of those being 4Runners. I liked the lockout feature that this throttle controller has with the Bluetooth interface. I’ve had it for almost 3 weeks now, and have been happy with it that’s far. I do not have the Drive setting to anything beyond the original manufacturers setting, although I have tried some of the other moulds just to get a feel for them. As noted, my main focus was to make the gas pedal a dead pedal to help add one more layer of protection against L theft.

    Now I have somewhere to send people every time they argue with me about throttle controllers. I would not drive another car without one. Cheers guys.

      Read some of the comments mate 😭, we do though have another video in production to make it even easier for them to understand 😁. Thank you.

    I guess the main question is. 1 year into a 5 year new Ute warranty can I have this in without voiding warranty. Thanks.

      Doesn’t affect warranty. I have one on my Kia Rio…yep don’t laugh!
      The guys at Kia/Mitsubishi say it doesn’t as a few of the guys there have them on their Tritons.

      Asking the wrong question. My understanding is that it is not legal/possible to “void” a warranty. At least in Aus/NZ. That is not the same thing as covering any repair/issues they deem to have been caused by mods. The dealer/manufacturer could decline a repair but not void a warranty. I am not saying this TC will create warranty issues, just that asking if they will void the warranty is the wrong question.

    Would you guys do a detailed breakdown of installation ??

    • @4WDTV
      @4WDTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jordan, we could but there isn't really anything to cover with any detail. It really is a very simple installation process. You just unplug the throttle plug, plug in the controller and stick the EVC to your dash. It is very simple and takes a few minutes.

    Maximise fuel economy! Minimise emissions! Protect the driveline as set by factory he says. That's exactly what I want..so sorry I don't think I'll consider this product.

    • @4WDTV
      @4WDTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      LOL, yes and that is the beauty of this product, it gives you the control to set the throttle for all of those positive things you want as well as having the option to change the parameters for the to overcome the negative things the factory programming provides, as required. But yes, the factory settings penalise the driver and vehicle's performance to give you those advantages. The lag you are happy to have could easily be a safety concern when the vehicle won't respond quickly enough in an emergency situation but at least you will have your fuel economy 😉

    Throttle controllers work but they are not essential.

      spot on, same as mud tyres...it all depends on where you want to go. But have you actually tried one and experienced the difference they make?
