I found your video after googling various versions of “extreme fatigue after iron infusion.” I had my first infusion 6 days ago. I was fine for the first 2 days after. Day 3 post-infusion, I had fatigue and body aches. The next 2 days I felt better, today, I’ve slept ALL day. I am a little concerned, but your video definitely gives me hope that I will feel better soon. My doctor has told me how amazing l feel and, like you, that I’ve been operating with super depleted iron levels. I have another infusion a week from today.
Thanks for sharing your story and showing me that, hopefully, there is light at the end of the tunnel for me also. Be well!

Hi. Did you end up feeling better? I’m day 4 post infusion and I’m so sick. I got the infusion on a Monday and now it’s Thursday. I’m dealing with severe exhaustion, headaches, swelling (edema) and weakness. I also had weird itching/weird sensation. I’m so scared this is my “new normal”

I'm so glad you took the leap and had the Mirena coil fitted. I'm on my 4th one so far and I love it so much! No periods, no PMS, no cramping......amazing!! I hope it carries on being brilliant for you!

This is fascinating! And I’m so so happy for you. My dad had to have 5 iron infusions a few years ago (due to leukaemia - he’s fine now don’t worry!) but he felt so so much better immediately. So happy your on the mend xxx

Take action is a very important message! Thank you Zanna 💗 and I'm so glad you've managed to get on top of your health issues.
Two of my very close friends (age 36 and 37) have just found out they both have breast cancer within a few months of eachother 😥 BUT because they got themselves checked out early enough, they are/can be treated with surgery and chemotherapy.
Due to being diagnosed early enough, they have a good prognosis.
Always act on these little changes.
You could even save your life. 💗

I am so glad you have your energy back. I am currently on prednisone after having the flu and the weirdest side effect is I have energy for the first time in 2 years! I have an autoimmune disease and am constantly exhausted/fatigued. I feel MANIC. This wasn't even the reason I was put on the prednisone but I am loving it. Thanks for sharing your experience x

Omg I have had the exact same thing, heavy periods for ages, just found out I have chronic anaemia, and I’ve just had two iron infusions. I felt awful after the infusions! You are literally saying exactly what happened to me in May and June. I’m trying the pill first but may end up with the coil. Hope my outcome is as positive as yours Zanna xx

What was your ferritin before the infusion? And what it is after the infusion?
I heard black tea and coffee blocks iron absorption. So nowadays I drink tea made of clove powder and cinnamon powder.
And just to confirm, your infision was just 30min?

So pleased it's helped you and the coil is working. I was severally anemic too and had two iron transfusions at the hospital and then iron tablet's. I have fibroids which cause heavy bleeding. I'm on zoladex and hormone tabs to stop the bleeding and now have my surgery in a weeks time for a hysterectomy. I've had to go private for this as the waiting list is too long on the NHS 😒 Too many health risks to wait.

Just to bear in mind dietary iron as well especially if you don’t eat meat. Obviously lots of vegetarian iron sources ie spinach but the absorption from them is less than with meat sources of iron

Oh bless you Zanna, I had a very similar journey with my healing my anaemia - I had also totally depleted iron stores a year ago. My healing journey led me to Dr Shamim Daya at the Wholistic Medical Centre in London - and ultimately I chose to change my diet from veganism after 10+ years as it was not supportive to my female reproductive system 💜🙏 everyone is different and different diets work for different people! I am glad you are feeling better 💜

Thank you so much for this video it was just want I needed🙏. I’ve been severely anemic every since I was 13. I relate so much to you when u said that your body has gotten accustomed to living with such low levels because I also haven’t fainted or felt anything I was supposed to with iron levels as low as mine. I just took my first Iron Infusion yesterday and stumbled on your video while trying to research on the Iron Infusion process and how I’m supposed to feel. I hope I feel as energetic as you are feeling now. Thank you again for this great video. 🥰🥰

I'm so happy to hear you're doing so much better! I would have never labeled you as a low-energy person ever, lol :)) I've been low-energy for most of my life and hope one day I'll get to feel what it's like to be fully functional. My iron levels are ok, but my hormones are not due to PCOS. I don't know if that's causing my low energy, haven't figured it out yet.

I myself too suffering from heavy blood loss during my cycle . My ferritin level was also like super low . Took 3 blood injections. 3 wwks before got mirena inserted. Yet having spots daily .

I go next month for the coil. My ferritin was so low as well I thought I was just existing. I literally was planning my days around naps. As a 44 year old it was horrible. Just had 2 iron infusions. I’m scared for mirena bc of all the horror stories but I too have to stop the bleeding to fix the iron issues.

I’m so grateful for your videos 🙏🏻 my journey has been similar to yours but worse. I’ve had 3 iron transfusions and totally understand the flooding 😔 I’ve recently had the coil put in privately which was great for two months. I had normal periods but less heavy though longer than before. However now I feel awful as it’s been 16 days that I’ve been on my period 😔 first 8 days normal periods without the clots but spotting after and now bleeding like periods again after 12 days. I’ve been on my period for almost 16 days now 😔 I’m hoping for the periods to stop!! I can’t wait to be period free 😓 I’m 44 with three children.
