The reason for this song rang so well is because we all been through that experience with someone we intimately cared about. And of course the music in of it self is great.

Kimbra is brilliant. She is one of the most talented vocalists of our time- The things this woman does with a simple midi pad and a looper is astonishing.
If I was a make a wish kid- my wish would be to have a couple hours to improvise jazz licks and have her sing over them. Seriously.

Kimbra ties the song perfectly. Without her and her back and forth dialogue with Gotye, the song would not be as much of a success at all.
Kimbra's voice is so powerful and captivating. Need those songs that really capture those moments written for her voice few female vocalists are talented enough to be blessed with and then match up with the write songs to showcase the resonating notes.
