  • What you do after you arrive in the UK from India is just as important as what you do before. Basically, when you’re moving to the UK from India, everything is important. And so it’s very easy to lose track of everything that needs to be done and very easy to forget important things like we did.
    I moved to the UK 5 months ago with my family and dogs and it’s been challenging to say the least. Since we moved to England, we’ve had our fair share of challenges. Some expected, some not.
    In this video, I share my checklist of what you need to do once you move to the UK. Follow this to the T and you’ll be stress free.
    I make videos every week on moving to the UK or London and life in the UK once you get here.

    One of the most important things, even before starting from your home country, is to get an international credit card or debit card and link that to your Uber app as a payment method. Otherwise, you will be stuck in the airport, without being able to call a Taxi. Uber doesn't accept cash payments. Even for paying any food delivery app, you need a online payment card. This is the most important thing, which is forgotten by all the TH-cam advisors.

    I have a question. People say first finalise a school and look for a house in the same catchment area. Please clarify this. Also what about a bank account till you are in the BNB

    • @AbsolutelyAshika
      @AbsolutelyAshika  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends on the housing scene at that point. We couldn’t do it that way because getting a house with dogs was very difficult. The other thing was we put in two bids on other houses and lost out. If we followed the school before house method, we wouldn’t have gotten a house.

      You can open a bank account showing temporary addresses or just open an account with a new age bank like starling

    I have a query and I think only you can give me the honest answer and right guidance.... I am 40 years old, graduate in Commerce Hons. I have 20 years of work experience and my last 7 years experience has been with Barclays, British Bank. My current designation is Supplier Management Analyst. Is there any way I can move abroad with this age and experience?

      Hi Sukhvinder. Thank you for writing in. There is no restriction on you moving with your qualifications but bear in mind that jobs will not be as many as tech or healthcare jobs. It's a lot easier for tech or healthcare because the UK faces a shortage in these areas. If this is occupation code 3543, it doesn't fall under the shortage occupation list (please verify the same). Doesn't mean you can't get a job in the UK though. Which means you'll have to be much more persistent while applying for jobs. Watch this video for more info th-cam.com/video/fDOn78BpBfU/w-d-xo.html
