I don’t care anymore about my loose skin as long as I’m healthy and love myself for who I am not for what others think beauty should be. A lesson I had to learn.

Thank you!🤗 I hear ya. Feeling good about yourself is #1. I’m happy with my progress but doing my best to tighten up as much as I can. I’m not a fan of the audible “clap” my arm skin and inner thighs will make sometimes. Lol.

You amazing Lady!! and your loose skin is not bad at all!! Congrats on your successful weight loss journey. I am a month post-op vsg and down 30 lb it has been such a smooth process no problems at all. Thank you for making this video❤

Thank you for this post; my body looks a lot like yours; as much as I am happy with the surgery, my inner thighs look really awful I am 62 and have lost lots of muscle in my thighs I am so disappointed I can not wear shorts above my knees I am hoping to go for skin tightening next year it's very expensive in the UK, but I will try and do it. I have had 6 children and am blessed my belly is okay, relatively flat, no muffin as we call it here in the UK. My arms also are so crinkled I tend to hide them well. It is just my lnner thighs giving me a bit of anxiety; apart from that, I am happy with my weight loss. You look beautiful; thank you for the video

Thank Youuuu for watching and taking the time to comment.🤗 I hear ya….inner thigh skin is weird but nothing a little compression shorts/leggings can’t handle for a while. I haven’t even looked into the cost of it out here. I’m sure it’s going to be astronomical.🤯 Good on ya for six children and no muffin! That’s a win-win for sure!😍🥳 I truly hope all continues to go well for you and looking forward to an update when you do choose to have skin removal surgery.🫶

Thank you for sharing this! I have lost 100+ pounds also, and my loose skin looks pretty similar. I definitely relate to your burst can of biscuits description. Sometimes the loose skin on my stomach or the wrinkles on my thighs impact me mentally. However, all I have to do is think about how far I have come and it puts things into perspective. A little loose skin isn't a big deal. I'm the healthiest I have ever been as an adult. Turns out a little loose skin is worth it!
Keep up the amazing work. Remember, you are worth it.

Thank youuu!🤗 Agreed, isn’t it amazing how good we can feel even with this skin? It IS so worth it. And will continue to be worked on over time. But it’s definitely not raining on our parade! Perspective is key!😉

Thank you so much for giving of yourself so generously. I'm about 6 weeks away from surgery. I don't have a date yet, but meeting with the surgeon next week and they said he's booking in October now. It's September 15th today, so it's becoming very real for me. I than you for sharing because, of course, loose skin is a huge worry for everyone pre-op and one of the biggest considerations after dealing with the new way of eating and getting through the surgery. I gotta say, if I can come out looking HALF as good as you, I'm in!

I had my sleeve surgery 6 days ago so brand new to it all. I flew home 3 days later and the cabin pressure was horrendous. Just starting to feel human now. I cannot stand the barifit shakes so just keeping my fluids up at the moment, giving myself time to get over the surgery, flight and everything involved.
Any advice anyone has please throw at me. I start stage2 puree in a few days.
Plus being vegetarian I'm stuck on ideas that way too.
    Many thanks

Ohhhh wow! Congratulations and I hope everything is goin a bit better for you. I can’t even imagine the level of alllllll the things you’re feeling now. (((Hugs)))
Sometimes the Protein shakes can be a bit much on the new tummy. But things can change over time. I went through a few different brands before my body could really tolerate. It may stick for a few months then your tummy hates it.
I had water, sugar free popsicles and premier protein in the beginning. Then savory broth came into play and it was amazing! I felt more human because of the flavor. Lol. As a fellow vegetarian, I still use “Better Than Bouillon Seasoned Vegetable Base”. It’s always been easy on my tiny tummy. And when you add puréed veggies…..👩‍🍳 *chefs kiss*
I hope this helps. You can always email me and I’m happy to send some pics of the guide I followed after my surgery.👍🏼

The only time I was thin was (a few years)when I was bulimic and anorexic.😞 My skin had been stretched out my entire life, so I knew reclaiming any elasticity would be almost impossible. Meh….but I’ll continue to try my best.🥰

Silly question considering VSG Is there a way to slow down the weight loss during the process to give your skin a chance to catch up and build muscle. You look great ❤

    • @vsgathlete
      @vsgathlete  ปีที่แล้ว

There are never any silly questions. But from what I’ve read, there doesn’t seem to be a way to slow it down. Mainly because of the size of our new tummies, and how little can actually go in them. The only real slow down is when our bodies plateau. But that happens naturally.
